  1. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 01:16 AM) I can't think of anyone other than Jordan or Babe Ruth who I think could beat Woods in such a poll. Muhammad Ali. Novak Djokovic. Either way, call me when the Tom Brady NFL Football 2000-whatever video game comes out...
  2. Didn't see this posted. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/artic...sp&c_id=cws
  3. QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 05:24 PM) 1) 05 sox playoffs 2) Illini-arizona elite 8 game Pretty much the same for me. I remember both vividly. Also, Jordan's shot against the Jazz in 1998, Ray Bourque finally winning the Stanley Cup with the Avalanche, and the Bulls demolition of the Miami Heat in last season's playoffs. Worst... 1.) Serbia/Montenegro's 6-1 loss vs Argentina in WC2006 2.) Yugoslavia's WC 1998 loss to the Netherlands (damn you Edgar Davids!) 3.) Mariners sweep White Sox in 2000 4.) Bears losing the SB
  4. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 25, 2008 -> 01:38 PM) Don't get sexually excited about someone who could be a relative. That is a ridiculously ignorant statement.
  5. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 09:31 PM) Ana Ivanovic starts playing in the Aussie Open today. Get excited SoxFan1. She is Serbian after all. I've thought for a while that Ivanovic was better than Jankovic. Should be an incredible final on the women's side. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 11:54 PM) If I were him, I wouldn't get too "excited". He might be related to her. ??? What the f*** is that supposed to mean? QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 25, 2008 -> 09:04 AM) Down goes Federer! Down goes Federer! My god I love Nole. It's very hard not to like him. His play, his personality...he's the pride of Serbia right now.

QUOTE(iamshack @ Jan 23, 2008 -> 02:26 PM) But I don't get all the Christian Bale love....he hasn't really done it for me since his awesome performance in American Pyscho... Batman Begins, The Machinist, Equilibrium (though not a great movie, the weight gain for this, followed by the incredible weight loss for The Machinist, it just goes to show his incredible talent and dedication to fulfilling a role), The Prestige, Rescue Dawn, 3:10 to Yuma...hell, you can already add The Dark Knight to that list. He's the best Batman of all by far. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 23, 2008 -> 12:53 PM) Ben Foster needs another trick. We get it, you can act REALLY crazy with tremendous gay undertones. I suppose that's a nice change for him going from "Get Over It" to "Top Dawg" or whatever that Justin Timberlake movie was. First, the movie with Timberlake is Alpha Dog, and second, he was excellent in Hostage. I recommend that if you haven't seen it yet...Bruce Willis movie.
  7. QUOTE(kwolf68 @ Jan 23, 2008 -> 04:40 PM) There is absolutely NO FUTURE in Chicago. I totally agree. I mean Swisher is 27 (and signed for 4 years with a option for a 5th), Quentin is 25, Fields is 25, Owens is 26, Richar is 24, Danks is 22, Floyd is 24, Jenks is 26, and Buehrle is still only 28, and we've got a top 10 pick in this years draft...no future whatsoever.
  8. 1.) Chicago - grew up there, love the lake, love downtown, love the sports, love everything. 2.) Anchorage - a truly unique city which has building and mountains within minutes of each other. 3.) Grand Rapids - beautiful buildings, love the old-style feeling of downtown, and the Grand River runs right through the heart of the city. I also like Denver, Toronto, and Atlanta, but haven't spent enough time in any of them to get a real feel for them.
  9. QUOTE(BearSox @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 11:37 PM) To be honest, the only pitcher I am banking on for us to be at least decent (ERA less then 4.5, not get knocked around every other time out) is Vazquez. Buehrle, maybe, but he has to show me he has made some changes from late last season. We really need one Floyd and/or Danks to step up big time. At this point, I'd MUCH, MUCH, MUCH rather have Garland over Cabrera. Your concern for Buehrle puzzles me. He's been great his entire career, has a bad season, rebounds with another great season, throwing a no-hitter in that time, and you think he might post a 4.5+ era? Take his late season struggles with a grain of salt. He had nothing to play for post-season wise, got his contract, and had a kid during the season. Give him a break. He's a real person too.
  10. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 03:20 PM) Little by little, piece by piece. The starting rotation needs to catch lightening. I don't see a way now to bolster the starters without digging a hole elsewhere. Ervin Santana for Crede/+ would look good about now. Actually, ideally, a Contreras/Crede/Cash deal for a good #3 starter would do wonders.
  11. Good signing. Our bullpen, when/of healthy, is now much improved. Wasserman, Boone, MacDougal, Dotel, Thornton, Linebrink, Jenks? I like it.
  12. - Boost Mobile commercial with the little Asian guy singing and rapping in the bathroom. - All Bud Light "Real Men of Genius", preferable Mr. Way Too Much Cologne Wearer. - Budweiser "Rock, Paper, Scissors" commercial. - Sprint's "Crime Deterrent Cell Phone" commercial.

  14. - Money has to be facing the same way, and needs to be in order from singles up. - Never finish a basketball game/baseball game without hitting a shot or throwing a strike. - Double-locking the door before going to sleep. - All DVDs/Video Games are in alphabetical order. - Keep the computer on at night, but the monitor off. - Cell phone only turned off in class. - I haven't taken off my gold necklace with the Serbian Crest/Orthodox cross off since 2003. - Blinds always need to be closed facing up. - Hang my keys in the same spot every time I come inside. - Never have any volume level on 13, ever. - I check my e-mail as soon as I wake up, before every class, and before I go to sleep.
  15. QUOTE(BearSox @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 01:54 AM) I disagree. He got knocked around in 06 because he was laying meatballs over the plate consistently. 86 from 89-90 is quite a drop off. You should seriesly put a Buehrle prediction in your sig.
  16. I've had many glass bottle Cokes as a kid. I used a typewriter for a while as a kid, and I certainly know about Jaws/Where's the beef?
  17. My lunch was technically breakfast. I had scrambled eggs, a little smoked ham, and some toast.
  18. In an interview on CSN, Swisher said you could mark it down that he WILL attend SoxFest.
  19. I can't bring myself to hate anyone on that 2005 White Sox team...especially not Pods, who won Game 2 of the WS for us and orchestrated the offense for us that season.
  20. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 10, 2008 -> 09:12 PM) Get mega men though from GNC, it even turns your pee green. All my dreams...
  21. QUOTE(ptatc @ Jan 10, 2008 -> 08:25 PM) It won't hurt you. There are just some in that you don't need as much of. Mostly vitamins are useless you get most everything you need while eating. The body can only absorb a certain amount of each vitamin so you mostly are creating expensive urine. Ok, cool. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to mess me up.
  22. So I recenty decided to start taking vitamins since the college lifestyle isn't so healthy, and so I can improve my immune system a bit, so I went out and bought Centrum Silver. Then a few days later, I noticed that it's specially formulated for people over the age of 50. So now I don't know if I should stop taking it. If anyone can offer some expertise or insight, that'd be sweet.
  23. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 01:25 PM) Where did you hear that? Anything we can look at? And welcome to the board! I recall hearing the same thing on CSN a few days back. Seems he's having Visa issues coming with coming to America.
  24. Not bad at all. I like the effects in the background, but the filter and the stroke over Toews should probably go. Just makes it look low quality. Text isn't bad at all, and fits well with the background. I don't like using cut-off pictures in sigs or wallpapers unless it's intentionally meant to look like that, for example, if the player render is coming "out" of the text or from some sort of shape or something. One other thing, you might want to tone down the red stuff over Toews just a bit, or possibly add more red to the bg to balance it out. Hope that helps any.
