OK, local SoxTalkers, I'm in town and about to Red Line it up to the park. Ticketless, natch. Who has been out and around THE BUBBLE, and what have you seen tix going for? Are people holding many, and does it look like the scalpers may flinch close to game time? I'm hoping if I'm willing to pony up as much as $400 I've got a prayer, but if not I'll enjoy myself wherever Iend up I'm sure. Go SOX!!!

In the Beginning was the Word. And the Word was with Rally Crede. And the Word WAS Rally Crede.

Cheney Group hijacked foreign policy for the worse

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 02:43 PM) And it too shall happen - meaning - if Bush had a "D" behind his name (and he very well could if it weren't for that pesky old abortion issue) there wouldn't be ANY of this in the news. I wonder why? Probably because he wouldn't have been spoiling for the Iraq war so much that he'd need people to manufacture false premises and get rid of anybody who challenged those premises. -
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 02:18 PM) Anyone wanna buy a mug shot? Well, it's not going to replace the Nolte, the Jackson, or the James Brown. I don't even think he was trying to look like a criminal in that one. . .

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) No, but thanks for proving my point. More accurately I consider insider trading, whoring out the white house, selling of pardons, murder allegations, influence peddling to forgein nationals for campaign funding (treason really depending on who you believe the money came from), repeated sexual harassment, etc, IMO are more than "just a blow job". And out of all that the GOP focused on the blow job. Sounds like penis envy. -
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) They haven't released any on ticketmaster since the initial offering. They might have been doing maintenance on the page. I also heard from someone that there were less than 150 tickets released for Game 1 when they became available. 150!?! Yes, source?? Wow.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 02:18 PM) Id rather focus on those more fundamental problems with the Clinton Administration than some stupid blow job. Good for you, although you seem to be largely alone on that. -

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 02:05 PM) And remarkably it is many who also use the "just a blow job" mantra like it is going out of style. You equate an extramarital blowjob with the s*** Cheney's office is "allegedly" involved with that led to knowingly ovberstating the case for war and the tresonous outing of a CIA operative? Alrighty then. god love ya'. :rolly -

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) Bush and his followers are nothing but lying cheats, rapers, stealing thugs, who know how to solve all the world's problems but choose not to, kick puppy dogs right in the teeth, drink the blood that comes out of those teeth, and then goes on tv at night to talk about how good the blood tastes. Is that about right? Not sure about all that. But I'm sure the Guardsman could have used the $15K they were promised. -

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 01:43 PM) Yes. But if life was so horrible in the military and they were so fed up with it then what would a few thousand extra dollars mean? Tax-Free bonuses are given to soldiers who re-up while deployed in a combat zone. 100% Tuition assistance and the G.I. bill come standard and have been for a long time. And sometimes bonuses are simply taken away once the poor suckers re-up. http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/local/s...p-4774126c.html Very nice. -
The Rally Crede once survived for 23 days by eating the bone marrow of the foes he vanquished in battle. Not because he had to, just because he wanted to.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 12:55 PM) OK, now it's happening to me. I went onto TM and looked under both Saturday and Sunday. In both instances, I was able to pull the drop box down and select 4. Both times there were no tix available. I wnet back and tried for 1 ticket, again, no tix available. Why does it allow you to ask for 4 , if even 1 is not available?? My interpretation o that is that you 'missed it by that much.' I think the system is adjusting the number you can pull when cancellations are put back into the mix, and somebody just scooped you. It wasn't me, sadly, though I've been tryin g to randomly pull that miracle ticket off the site for the last two days.

More insight into the black depths of Cheney's bionic baboon heart. I'm sure it was Wilkerson's loyalty to Powell that kept him from speaking up earlier, but bettter late than ever Add Wilkerson to the list of former senior officials that decided they wanted to be able to live with themselves and maybe sleeo at night, alongside Richard Clarke and Paul O'Neill. Hannah and Wurmser are underlings, but their turning stoolie now still dovetails nicely with the rest of these revelations. The fatal flaw in running a government by means of an inner circle is that when one of the cogs flips it brings tthe whole thing crashing down. Live by the cabal, die by the cabal. All these revelations. . . and Fitzmas is right around the corner. Ah, sweet vindication. It's almost too much for this raving moonbat liberal to take. -
QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 11:38 AM) The Rally Crede knows your thoughts FlaSoxxJim. He told me so. Ya, "The Lumberjack Song" segues into: "Puts on women's clothing and hangs around in bars.". The Rally Crede is not averse to a little cross dressing now and again. Frankly, he makes me want to be a better woman.

QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 11:27 AM) The Rally Crede scoffs at your transvestite implications while screwing your wife in the ass. It's truly a beautiful sight. The Rally Crede sincerely hopes someone with the handle "knightni" recognizes appreciates that lumberjack aspect of the Rally Crede mythology.

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 10:33 AM) FYI ... I read that October has the most people with birthdays. Think about the people you know. I know me, my wife, my dad, my grandmother, two cousins, and three friends have October birthdays. But this would be true for Chicagoans. Think about it, there is not much to do in Chicago in January ... EXCEPT . But these guys live in warm climates during the off season. Like my dear departed, sweet Grandma used to say: When the weather's hot and sticky Ain't the time for dunkin' dickey But when the frost is on the pumpkin THAT'S the time for dickey dunkin'! Boy do I miss the old gal. She was a pistol.

That said, I visited the site maybe three times all year, so I'm not all that passionate in my opinion either way.

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 01:55 AM) Judy Miller was involved with the White House Iraq Group http://www.nydailynews.com/news/wn_report/...2p-304302c.html more at link That has been f***ing obvious since before the war began and it's a f***ing travesty. Pulitzer winner or not, she gobbled up every but of faukty intelligence that trhe WHIG and Chalabi threw her way and ran THE story that gave the administration its best case for going to war in the eyes of the American public. That it ran in the NYT made it all the more credible since the paper is perceived as being so left-leaning. Judith Miller = cocksucker by proxy. She failed to thoroughly fact check the most important story of her career (or, more likely the fact checking consisted of Chalabi's guys telling the WHIG some "fact" that they passed on to Miller and that other Chalabi guys were later able to "verify" whenMiller checked the story. She was so completely played that she could have rotted in jail for a decade in the name of press integrity and it wouldn't have won her integrity back.
