This is sort of funny. The 2002 Memo for William J. Haynes II, General Counsel, Department of Defense made it very clear that the interpretation of the administration was going to be that Geneva doesn't apply to El Quaida OR the Taliban. But apparently the Geneva Convention does hold sway over what soldiers can do to the bodies of these combatants after they have been killed?!? Am I the only one who thinks that is somewhat bizzare?

Sure, this was anticipated, and setting th $10,000 bond before the Friday court appearance is a routine step. Actually, did anybody mention Al Lopez? I guess those who suggested the entire surviving '59 club sort of did. At 97 (or whatever age they said he was), he looked pretty spry in Anaheim last week. Yeah, I'd go with Al for one of these games for sure.

I need it to show significant weakening and evidence that it will stay well south or my plans to fly in to White Sox Country are going to be scuttled. I guess it would be poor form to leave my wife and two kids in the path of this one, huh?

That last bit was good to see – that people being serviced at the office that morning were mainly picking up and not essentuially being allowed to jump the line in front of online submissions. There is really no argument suggesting that lack of order processing manpower was the weakest link either. There wimply was not a big enough chunk of WS tickets available to meet the demand for the deal. I'm disappointed, but mostly with my Dad and me for not getting our order in a few hours earlier. Oh well, it looks like Hurricane Wilma may be changing my plans to fly in of Friday anyway.
