It should be illegal for anyone named Paris to be allowed to marry anyone else also named Paris, if only for the sake of the human gene pool.

This won't hold a candle to the Jacko jury verdict, but the timing of Cooney's resignation, announced today, is an interesting coincidence...

bump – time to see who was right...

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 03:23 PM) For anyone that has America (The book), you will know this court case measures 200 Buttafuocos. That's off the charts.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) If Chewbacca lives on Endor you must acquit. Look at the monkey! Look at the silly monkey!!

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) Wait guys, make sure I have this right. If guilty America is racist. If not guilty America is soft on celebrities. Right? Stop hating America!

What are the oddsmakers saying?

Yeah, they're insanely cute animals – even with those scary-ass wolverine claws.

I know that's a real image, but it looks soooo much like it's a badPhotoshop job of a racoon head on a bear body. But, seeing the resemblance between red pandas and raccoons, it is amazing it took as long as it did for zoologists to finally assign them to the same family.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 01:59 PM) Which begs the statement Flaxx, Why do Congressional anti-war Republicans hate America so much?" For the same reasons Jimmy Carter, Mel Martinez and others hate America when they suggest Gitmo has become a problem, of course. Yes, it must be nice to live in such a simple world of absolutes. If you're not with us, you're against us and you hate America. If you think there may be some possibility we have miscalculated in the runup to war and thereafter, you are against us and you hate America. If you excercise your constitutional right to free speech but say something critical of the war or the Administration, you are against us and hate America. Hey, that is easy.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) (Side note...he's also said he regretted his part in the Freedom Fries idiocy) A lot of good people were hoodwinked. Sad that when you realize you were sold a phony bill of goods and suggest maybe we went to war for erroneous reasons you are invariably going to be accused of hating America.

Gas station chicken salad sammich and a bowl of cold gazpacho.

Alas, the cosmic yin and yang of things does not allow this universal good to exist unaccompanied by a universal evil of equal magnitude... Be afraid. Be very afraid.

QUOTE(zach23 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) Sushi (California rolls), a turkey sandwich, some chocolate chip cookies, a "Drumsitck" ice cream cone, some pretzels and a canoli. Washed it down with some water, a Mountain Dew and a Peach Twisted Tea. Tonight at the game I think I may have a Super Nacho platter and maybe a root beer float. Unless we go to Gio's before the game, then I will have the Chicken Sicilliana and maybe have a funnel cake at the game. You're just wasting away to skin and bones there, Zach. It's that demon grazing again, isn't it?

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 12:24 PM) Cliches are soooooo not erotic. Who, me...?? I agree.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 12:18 PM) ... Is that the online equivalent of a tremble?

QUOTE(valponick @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:37 AM) ...baseball can be a contact sport and it should be played hard. I never once felt bad for Burke about that collission or felt any anger towards Hunter about it... I'm not going to drudge up the past, but Hunter went well out of his way to clock Burke. Period. That was not playing the game hard, that was being a jagoff.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:28 AM) I always thought that was on purpose, showing that he was still a bit of a nervous, sweet, insecure, teenager. Are you thinking it was a mistake? No, I know the real story. Screenwriter Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous) couldn't secure the rights to use anything off of IV, so they used Kashmir instead. Mostly, I think I'm still outraged that I was like the only person in the theater (underage at the time, natch) that seemed to even notice it. Ah, such is the life of the classic rock geek-savant.

Uuhmm, what about, I dunno... maybe Putting the DOG in the basement?!? Having lost one family cat (literally ripped open, end to end) and almost another (a real fighter) to the same white trash asshole family's pack of roaming pit bulls on two separate occassions, all of these stories really hit really close to home. Invariably, an idiot human being is also a big part of the problem. Peace to the poor kid who had to pay for the mother's idiocy with his life.

Late and symbolic, yes, but still a necessary and appropriate gesture.
