  1. Haha not at all, but Martin has been brutal. Woulda been nice to get a league average starter at the TDL.
  2. Had a nice outfield assist that was right on the money to nab a runner trying to stretch a single into a double.
  3. Since June 1st, Davis Martin has a 6.82 ERA. Removing last night's debacle it's still 5.87. Is Jose Urquidy ready? Need Burke to keep ascending tonight!
  4. Who sits in that scenario? He's pretty awful against them.
  5. I guess my argument is that in reality Quero isn't better at anything except contact and still barely an improvement. Romo is only 24 (25 this month) and arguably was the higher touted prospect and a former first round pick. They both suck and yes, Quero should be given the regular ABs in AAA in the hopes he can turn it around. I suppose I just think Quero's defense is THAT bad that he can't be on this roster.
  6. I can't disagree with any of that except that my gut tells me Quero makes more insane challenges and I'll take whichever the pitchers are more comfotable throwing to. Unfortunately one of them is going to have to stick around until Teel is hopefully back, but I'm not as pysched about that as I once was because he's been brutal behind the plate other than this year too save for his plus ability to throw guys out.
  7. I also see two bad catchers, but all the metrics say Romo is superior at defense. Quero is ranked 66/71 of qualified catchers in blocks above average per statcast at -6, Romo is 28/71 at zero BAA. I'll add that if you pay attention Quero gets shaken off probably a dozen plus times a game, I'm pretty sure he has zero clue wtf he's doing back there.
  8. Quero has 3 extra base hits in 170 at bats and a worse OPS+ than Romo, are his handful of singles in the past week really making up for the chasm in their defensive abilities? Quero is very possibly the worst catcher in the sport and affects the pitch calling because he can't be trusted to block a slider in the dirt. Until he can prove in AAA that he can do that, I never want to see him again.
  9. Agreed, I'm surprised they couldn't get a lotto ticket for Grichuk or Hays yesterday.
  10. Hays has 7 hits, 4 of which stayed in the park in his last 5 games in Charlotte and I believe his rehab assignment is up on 8/6. I can't imagine Hays is a DFA candidate, does that spell the end of Grichuck? Doyle goes down and we have two of the same guy in Grichuk and Hays?
  11. You got to be bleepin me!
  12. I did in another post, I had to go delete some old attachments to make some room for more screenshots. Bart is way better.
  13. I posted this as a reference and evidence that Bart is better than both our current options behind the plate. I don't have a super strong preference on Romo/Quero as backup, but I trust Romo more behind the plate for sure.
  14. Am I crazy for preferring this? Quero can't be trusted to block anything.
  15. That's quite fair and well put.
  16. I'm seeing tweets that Azocar and Witherspoon are damaged goods and Boston pulled a fast one, I'm not in the know enough to know what to believe on this one.
  17. Haha, I had to do a double take on that Brazoban one when I saw he had a bunch of years of control.
  18. He has a career .202/.256/.573 slash line and has struck out in 30% of his plate appearances away from Coors.
  19. That tracks for my block list...I need to sort these guys somehow.
  20. I blocked that guy on X, not sure if it's because he's fake or because I hate him, wish I remembered, lol.
  21. Yeah, this is fake.
  22. He's a below average player with no options left, I'm half joking here but he can't really get any lower and he did have a great game yesterday.
  23. Selling high on Pereira after his best game as a big leaguer?
