Moncada actually dealing with a back issue.
I'll defer to PTATC for his expert opinion, but anecdotally I've had a disk slip a few times in my life, numb leg(s) and all. Resolved itself with increased walking and abdominal strength building exercises and not sleeping on my stomach, has not flared up in probably 8 years now. I'm sure it depends how bad it is, but not necessarily a season ender for folks with a normal pain tolerance, Yoan might be a diff story however .

Is he? I watch almost exclusively on opposing broadcasts to avoid Benetti and Bacon. Eloy’s act is long worn out, hopefully the first guy out the door.

Need to listen to that interview, but I've always suspected this. Katz has done zero for me to give him the benefit of any doubts, so I question if his coaching technique, especially with his pet project Giolito, was simply to increase lateral movement and FB ride with the aid of spider tack, and he's been scrambling ever since the ban to reinvent himself, which has in turn resulted in a complete loss of control for most of our staff. Pure speculation, but he certainly seems to be a fraud.

10th slowest sprint speed of qualified batters according to baseballsavant btw all this stuff is free on baseballsavant, pretty excellent website

I think there's probably some flaw to this stat where it's based on Home Plate to 1B speed and guys aren't always running 100% effort where Jake probably is. Like is Jake Burger legitimately faster than Ronald Acuna Jr? Seems difficult to believe.

yeah I didn't realize that either, I've thought to myself "he moves well for a big guy" but never would have guessed a tick behind Robert speed. Here's compared to the league

Yeah, he's hit lefties pretty well in his MILB career, I've seen enough Romy.- 4/26 Sox @ Toronto 12:07
So Colas shows the expected rookie slow down after the league adjusts to him and he now can't crack the startling lineup. Classic White Sox, the season is already meaningless, let him take his lumps and play nearly every day.- 4/25- White Sox at Blue Jays, 6:07
If Robert wasn't making all these stellar defensive plays I would be very concerned about his blurred vision being back, guys absolutely clueless right now.- 4/25- White Sox at Blue Jays, 6:07
just when I think it can't get any more heinous, it somehow does...- 4/25- White Sox at Blue Jays, 6:07
Still in the office and just checked the box score, to all you gluttons out there, keep in mind that Jose Berrios is possibly the worst starting pitcher in professional baseball.- Sox @ Rays: 540CT - Kopech vs. Faucher: The Turnaround Starts Now
Sox fundamentals must have gotten to the point they're contagious- Sox @ Rays: 540CT - Kopech vs. Faucher: The Turnaround Starts Now
This season is already a foregone conclusion, I'm fine with a #5 by committee or just let Martin take his lumps there.- Sox @ Rays: 540CT - Kopech vs. Faucher: The Turnaround Starts Now
It's almost like Eloy has no idea that the scouting report on him is sliders away all day. He's gotta start laying off that or he's toast.- Sox @ Rays: 540CT - Kopech vs. Faucher: The Turnaround Starts Now
Kopech back to the pen is really the only option at this point if you want to attempt to salvage his career. What a shame.- Who the heck could the Sox even sign in FA next year?
I would trade Eloy the minute he puts together a solid healthy stretch for cost controlled SPs with upside, probably not going to get much in return but at least stock up on some healthy arms. Just DH Sheets against RHP and work in right handers at DH vs LHP.- 4/11- Sox at Twins, 6:40
DFA Alberto before he gets to the clubhouse and make him pay his own way home.- 4/11- Sox at Twins, 6:40
wondering the same, looked awkward- 4/11- Sox at Twins, 6:40
agreed, now sure maybe his launch angle is lower than desired, but he destroys baseballs- 4/11- Sox at Twins, 6:40
I’ll stan AV for as long as I need to, this narrative is false and not supported by advanced metrics.- 4/11- Sox at Twins, 6:40
Went to back to back games in Minny probably 7 years or so ago now, other than the Sox going 0-2 and getting outscored what felt like 10,000-2 over the 2 games had a great time and a beautiful park. Minny is beautiful in the summer, bunch of cool bike trails that you can ride all over town on their equivalent of the Divvy.- Lenyn Sosa Called Up // Anderson out 2-4 weeks
Bummed for TA, really seemed like he was firing on all cylinders right out of the gate and remembered how to pull the ball. You signed Andrus for this reason, now will the new staff do the right thing and let Sosa play every day?- 4/10- Sox at Twins, 1:10
Jason keeps citing that Grifol is comfortable with Colas batting against LHP but neglects to mention he hit better against LHP at every level last year.- 4/10- Sox at Twins, 1:10
I like how Soxtalk has decided a guy in the top 10% hard hit rate last year in his first full big league season, that currently has an OPS+ of 131 and isn't in the field today is a terrible pick and player. - 4/26 Sox @ Toronto 12:07
