  1. Haha yeah me too, played his ass of for us and seemed like a great vibes guy.
  2. Woof, would hope that is just small sample size, but shoulda just kept Derek Hill if we're going after guys like this.
  3. Can't hit a lick, but two GG's in CF in 23 and 24.
  4. He's still elite defensively and a solid bat, but agree not the second coming of Carlton Fisk he was hoped to be.
  5. Yeah still on IL with wrist inflammation, his 3rd stint this year with unrelated injuries, believe 1 was a concussion.
  6. Can we get an outside the division discount please? If I'm an O's fan this would feel like a big kick in the nuts.
  7. This dude is a Red Sox fan, but he's a decent watch if you don't have mlbtv. https://www.youtube.com/live/lJwmvESHUds?si=YA0KUSrvEAQ_fHA3
  8. This dude is a Red Sox fan, but he's a decent watch if you don't have mlbtv.
  9. Yeah that would sting for sure, but if you're going to do that, do it for a guy like Webb vs Detmers.
  10. I want this real bad. Go big if you're going to move Carlson.
  11. Or his wrist is worse than they hoped originally. I'm very curious to see if they move him after seemingly being annointed the best catcher to ever live by O's fans since before he came into the league. He would be such a massive upgrade here though even if his current slash lines dwindle a bit, his defense is that good.
  12. He's been selling out way too hard for fly balls with the back shoulder dip, he's got to find a happy median with that swing plane he's going for.
  13. Quero is clueless back there, Hicks had to shake him off a dozen times yesterday. The guy just can't be on the roster down the stretch learning in a playoff push.
  14. That's fine if you want to trade him after his arb years are up, but I want his elite value in those years. There's no guarantee Bonemer does anything at the MLB level, I'm not banking on that and would much rather trade him than Colson, who we already know is a top 5 SS in the sport.
  15. We're still trying to trade that guy that put up 5 WAR and 12 OAA in his first 162 games at the toughest position in the sport? 🙄
  16. A fun distraction like one of the most positive dudes to ever don a Sox uniform waving a magic wand around and having the temperament of a golden retriever is a good thing, you want guys loose and not wringing their hands over losing 2 games in a row to one of if not the best team in the league.
  17. They show Jonathan Cannon as having more surplus value than Vargas, I'd say they need to re-evaluate their model.
  18. I'm curious what the Giants would give up in return for your first package. I want Webb and Ray.
  19. Ahh yes, when career -1.0 WAR Coby Mayo was being touted as the next Brooks Robinson.
  20. I heard Jesse Rogers or somebody mention Graveman on 1000 this week, now this. Somehow I missed that he was a big part of the bad clubhouse vibes, anybody have a link or quick summary of what his deal was?
  21. I thought this format was so much better than the timed format where you can't even see where the balls lands. This way created a lot of dramatic moments, let the moment breathe, it was nice. It has to be less taxing physically on the players as well. I hope they keep this up for the foreseeable future. The actual directing and broadcast left a lot to be desired. They kept doing extreme closeups on the hitter and showing the players watching while batters were swinging. Also, Will Ferrell reminds me of my Grandma, but less funny.
  22. According to Baseball Savant/Statcast the arm is as advertised.
  23. Per Baseball Savant/Statcast for their careers at SS Acuna has averaged one out above replacement every 294 innings, Colson has averaged one out above replacement every 65 innings. It's pretty clear they aren't close defensively. Acuna is currently -1 for the year at SS and -2 in CF.
  24. For sure, I think his well above average size for SS also just makes him look a little less clean than a typical MLB SS. Anyway, it's fun as hell to watch and he's quickly become one of my favorites on the squad.
