  1. Had a blast at the game, taking all the credit for the performance. Crochet was walking out at the end, I hollered "Garrett when you coming back?" He said "SOON!"
  2. Hahaha, I'm a 7 7/8th's hat size, and the huge heads run in my Dad's (Irish) side of the fam, he's an 8+. No McGuire or recent Mt. Davis tomfoolery for me tonight!
  3. Also, any Bay Area ST folks attending any games this weekend? I'm considering also going Sunday if anybody is interested in coordinating a meet up or grabbing tix together.
  4. Picked up some 2nd row tix right next to the Sox dugout, home plate side for tonight for $60 a piece on Stubhub. Look for the guy with the giant Irishman head wearing a spring training Sox cap if you want to catch a glimpse of JoeCredeYes in the flesh.
  5. What's next, traveling secretary forgetting to charter a flight? What a shitshow this org is.
  6. Unbelievable, bad enough hearing the news on Twitter.
  7. Full disclosure the connection is my cousin's neighbor is close friends with the coach, often sits in his seats. But any gossip that makes it my way I take with a big grain of salt and don't typically share here cause I'm not trying to be one of the foodies. However he has been accurate in the past. Either way, hope Tony is ok and never manages the Sox again.
  8. He also fits the catchers make solid managers mold and you can tell how in tune he is during his broadcasts, I think you could do a lot worse than AJP.
  9. I have a pretty loose connection to a coach in the org, this aligns with what I was told months ago, that TLR would quietly step away and not return next season. However, they believed it would be after the season concluded.
  10. This is it right? The TLR nightmare is over?
  11. Are we just going to keep pretending he's still that guy? He's been a problem this year and isn't getting any better.
  12. If you noticed, I'm comparing him directly to Jose Abreu, who people on this board seem to think is having a good year, while acting like Vaughn is having a bad one. Never came close to acting like the dude was Mike Trout.
  13. 2022 RISP Jose: .244/.344/.472 Vaughn: .341/.392/.455 2022 RISP w/ 2 outs Jose: .237/.357/.475 Vaughn: .342/.413/.439 2022 "Late and Close" Jose: .292/.378/.319 Vaughn: .294/.342/.544 Yet this board is desperately trying to jettison the younger guy that is only getting better. You have your 1B of the future, slot him cleanup every day and let the man hit. Hell, he'd likely lead the league in GIDP and carry on Jose's legacy.
  14. Andrew Vaughn has 1 less hit than Jose this year with RISP in 49 fewer attempts. Jose is a huge part of the problem.
  15. You might want to take a look at their current numbers...
  16. Because you can get identical production from Vaughn for nothing, and start slotting players into positions they actually belong in.
  17. No logical reason to non-tender him so I'll vote no, however there was really no logical reason to not extend Rodon the QO so I wouldn't put it past this FO. Curious what his arb number will be after this disaster of a season for him.
  18. It's difficult to imagine a team with a more putrid 5-9 than this.
  19. Let the record show I posted this before he let a pop up land 5 feet from the plate.
  20. my friend @Bob Sacamano told me Carlos Perez would be fine behind the dish.....
  21. Sure, at their lowest now, but by the time he's MLB ready they won't be in the Coliseum and Oakland has an uncanny ability to put a winner on the field regularly. I'd take them over the White Sox right now as a 19 year old.
  22. The Sox have scored the same number of runs as the 48-75 Cincinnati Reds.
  23. Watch Hahn will trade AV and bring Jose back at 2-$50M.
