  1. Sandy Alomar one hops to short, two stranded - 1 nothing good guys after 1 and a half.
  2. Nice base hit by Uribe, and Gload gets to the other corner
  3. Sac Fly for Timo Perez 1-0 good guys.
  4. Sox on the corners... Gload hits a single to bring Frank from first to third. Two on, one out. 0-0 2nd
  5. How do you know I'm not already a pornstar. Have you seen me and Ron Jeremy together in the same place? Me neither. Just call me the ground... er hedge hog.
  6. Cheap seats pricing for regular (not value or half price games) in April Braves - $1 - $15 Mets - $5 - $12 Dodgers - $6 Yankees - $8 - $10 Red Sox - $12 Cubs - $14 - $17 White Sox - $12 - 17 How are we such a bargain comparatively? I got a super tight budget. If I'm going to a game, I'm getting the cheapest seat I can.
  7. I dunno if he is or isn't. This is a guy who made his name by being on the air in SF and referring to gay people as f**s. He's now nationwide and his hook is anger. Pure seething anger. MSNBC gave him a weekend show and he lost it by telling a crank caller that he was a sodomite and that he hopes he would get AIDS and die. Oh yeah, he used to swim naked with gay beat poet and NAMBLA member to the death Allen Ginsberg. He also believes in coffee enemas. I think he even wrote a book on it.
  8. One think that's making me happy about Frank - he's on track for 150 walks this year.
  9. I like what I've seen from Garland, E-Lo, Shoe and Buerhle actually. I think our problem with pitching is part managerial. It just seems that Ozzie hasn't learned to read our pitchers as well as he could. Garland's last outing, for example. It seemed like he pitched 6 very good innings, giving up just 2 runs. In the seventh he seemed tired, getting behind in counts and the only strikes he was throwing were getmeovers. I don't think Ozzie read JG until the damage was done and it was 6-5. Shoe recovered from a tough first inning in NY to pitch five solid ones against a very good Yankees squad. He'll be fine. Wright, I'm concerned about. He's getting behind nearly every at-bat, and making simple mistakes, maybe his spot isn't in the starting rotation.
  10. STD's are not uncommon in the "adult entertainment" industry unfortunately. But believe it or not, they are less frequent in the gay "adult entertainment" industry. Why? Because for the last 15 years, the major producers of that form of entertainment, have their talent wear condoms during sex. I was listening to Marketplace on NPR last night and they had a story about this - and one industry watchdog group, apparently they have several, said that the shutting down of the film branch of the industry for 60 days seems a bit ridiculous when all they'd have to do is put a condom on... they'd even be safer than they were a week ago.
  11. They don't use condoms in straight porn. Or have you missed that?
  12. *semi informed opinion about air america coming from dude who works in the biz, could potentially be boring, or even balanced.* I think the Air America strategy is a poor one. Rather than a whole lineup, they should have concentrated on two shows. Al Franken and Rhandi Rhodes. They started with 5 outlets, and are now on 16- excluding the still off the air LA outlet - in a matter of two weeks. That's good growth for a start up network. Not all of these stations carry the full lineup and one station - the Minneapolis one - is likely a temporary home, that station is expected to flip to Religious once the pending sale of it closes in May. As far as the dispute between AA and MRC goes, I'm likely to say it is actually closer to the AA story than MRC. From the stories of the funds that Air America started with, it seems unlikely that they would have bounced a check four months into the company's existence. Even if money was tight, you would have seen them pare shows from the lineup rather than give up a top 3 market affiliate. The issue seems to be the owner, a company which time brokers, selling time on the LA station that AA had already paid to use before the network launch. This is called, double dipping - where you charge two companies for the same air time - and it's illegal. And time brokers are notorious for this practice. The Temporary restraining order in Chicago seems to be evidence that there is some truth to the AA double dip claim. Most likely, they were able to show an account balance that would have covered the "bounced" checks in question when they were written... and probably correspondence of the double dipping issue before the launch of the network. But frankly, who knows.
  13. You have obviously never heard Michael Savage.
  14. Why can't we have both? Oh yeah, the attendance numbers today would answer that question.

Hmmm... testimony today from Louis Freeh said that he got one third of the funding and support he wanted for counter terrorism actions. Today he said he got less than 10% of the new linguists he needed to continue terrorist actions. Do the Reagan/Bush/Clinton administrations also deserve a good part of the blame? Of course. However, steps were taken in the last years of the Clinton administration to fight terror. Including a blue ribbon panel formed by former Senators Hart and Rudmann. They couldn't get an audience with the Bush administration. I know this to be the case before September 11th, because I heard it out of the mouth of Gary Hart himself in the summer of 2001.
  16. It seems like six games in - good signs from the offense, slightly better defense, and solid starting pitching appearances from four guys... its good to see. The first 10 or 15 games in the books, I'm not looking at records - unless a team is 15-0 or vice versa... If we're around .500 a couple weeks in but looking strong, I'm comfortable.
  17. 69 pitches to the sox in three innings.
  18. It's a shame that this mess is a mess. But we have an obligation to the people of Iraq to pick up the pieces. We overran their state and took out its governance structure, we need to fix what we destroy. It's the right thing to do. We can't leave the area now, but we can't do what we've been doing either. And on that mosque? 100% with you Nuke - if their shooting at you - you gotta shoot back.
  19. Ah yes. I no longer have to hang my head in shame in front of my Tigers fan coworker. BTW: For s***s and giggles - D-Town's Magic number = 161
  20. Turned out the Clinton administration didnt either. The GAO report says the opposite of what you heard in the weeks after the inaugauration. Although pranks to be played on incoming white house staff is something that happens from administration to administration.
  21. Dear Manager Guillen, Congratulations on your team playing a solid EIGHT innings of baseball! What an acheivement for you. But if you could please remember on Wednesday... the game is NINE innings long. Your Friend, Wino DJ
  22. 700 I got a life, ya know.
  23. Not yet anyway.... but I'm on to you. I fall asleep to the sounds of skates sharpening every night.
  24. Lets just say that the US was none too pleased when Brazil started doing the same to US citizens. Brazil said - remove our restrictions and we'll remove yours. Oh yeah, if you flip off the camera (it's happened a dozen times over there or so) they just send you back on the next plane.
