    All ppl

That "you and me" song is ( I think ) by the Cherry Poppin Daddies, and it actually says either "you and me and the devil make three tonight" or "you and me and the bottle make three tonight". I can't remember which, but I heard that song a million times during that horrid ( but thankfully brief ) swing revival a couple years ago. It was actually "You and Me And The Bottle Makes Three" by a band called Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. The Cherry Poppin Daddies' hit was "Zoot Suit Riot"
  2. If I'm in town, and it looks like I will be, I wanna be there. Its my birthday.
  3. hey you can always donate to keep me away. i dont wanna come home, i just cant afford to stay away much longer
  4. Back in May, I said that the Sox have their best shot to win it all this year because I'm off to Europe for an extended period of time. Unfortunately my money is running out and I might have to go home at the beginning of the month.... so if they falter in September, I apologize in advance. Just remember on June 4, we seemed to be aiming for a .400 season, Since I've left, we've climbed back to within one game of first place. My self-imposed exile does seem to be doing wonders.
  5. I know other people get picked on, but whos picking on other people in this thread? Just about no one.
  6. As always, you are factually wrong. People have come out here. And find it in the archives your own damn self. People may remain to preserve their privacy because of people like you, or because it is none of your business, and you have no right to make that demand on others. So take your factually untrue "Not Once" and put it where you may amuse yourself for the evening. get some balls and admit youre a homosexual and a hypocrite. Why the f*** should you care what anyone is? By the way the trip is going well, but im going broke and cant find work in Paris. not sure whats going to happen after that.
  7. Let me see, the people who b**** about gaybashing never come out? Wrong. I came out when that asshole Colorado player shot off his mouth. For everyone's information. I have a boyfriend. And I'm proud of that. I don't need to justify it to you, or anyone else. It's a part of who I am, it isn't everything. And you know what, I used to think that if I could be straight I would. Because I wouldnt have to worry about getting fired for mentioning my boyfriend in conversation. Because I wouldnt have to worry about getting the s*** kicked out of me when I tell someone. Because I wouldnt have to worry about family members disowning me because of who I am... and no amount of effort I've made (and it was a lot) ever changed that. There are people that discover this about themselves younger than me. Or other people figure it out before them and make their lives hell. It happened to me, thank you very much. If high school administrations actually made an effort to see that gaybashing (especially in the bashing sense) wasnt tolerated in schools, there would be no need for it. It isn't for students who get teased. It's for students who drop out because they get the s*** kicked out of them every day for being who they are. What part of that don't you understand?
  8. Hey guys, thanks for keeping me informed from Europe. It appears my self imposed exile to another Continent is doing the Sox well this year. 9-1 in the last ten. Wow. Anywho, thanks for the tips and s***. Its cool to hear from fans when nobody else you talk to even knows the game.
  9. So does this mean that other high schools should allow and protect same sex dates to proms? After all, we don't want to influence... one way or another Or is it your subtle little way of admitting that you liked the same sex as a young teen yourself?
  10. Gay and Lesbian schools are kind of viewed the same way "alternative" schools are. Or at least have been. Many of these schools that already exist are there to give a protected environment to those who have had trouble in school and couldn't function in their school. I don't know the details about the school per se, the articles are fairly vague... but it seems like Milk High will be more magnet school and less about being gay. Just gay-friendly... and whats wrong about creating an atmosphere where those 14 and 15 year olds who do know that they like boys can be honest about it without worrying about getting beat up at every corner? Oh yeah, they do have Nerd Schools in New York. What do you think Bronx Science is?
  11. I'm torn. I'm glad that there is a place where gay people afraid for their lives at their school can study... and it does happen... but at the same time, I'm a bit hacked that there is a need for this. You'd be surprised how many gay people just drop out of school because the school can't handle it. I just hope the school is gay friendly, not gay exclusive. That would actually be kinda cool.

The tour is so grueling that the average cyclist doesn't just lose weight during the month, they lose bone mass This is the toughest sporting event there is. Anyone that finishes it, is a huge athlete... to come back from a cancer that should have killed him to win five straight... my hero. Move over, Greg Lemond!
  13. Dick Cheney said the week before fighting began, "Its possible we could do this without firing a single shot." on Meet The Press. George Bush knowingly presented evidence on the State of the Union address that was false. How do we know? The same information was taken out of previous speeches because of its questionable legitimacy. Last week George Bush cited the reason for war being: "Saddam wouldn't let the inspectors in." Did it in front of the UN Sec General. Did he already forget the reasons for this war? And if he did, shouldn't we be worried? He did say we'll stay until victory is ours and thats true. But this was not the scenario they expected. Most servicemen and pentagon bureaucrats would probably say that too.

No. Its fans being drunk assholes. Some of it is, but there is fan interference with every cyclist. But you don't hear about Jan Ullrich's domestique being clocked by some fan's bag... only the big ones have that problem... and there were tons of fans for lance on the Champs Elysees today He is planning on riding for 6 straight
  15. Two quick things: If Iraq didnt destroy WMD, either another country we dont like has them now, or worse when his hand was forced, he did the very thing we fought to prevent... which meant the war was not smart policy. At least if we had left the regime in place, we knew where the WMD is. Its rather difficult to move tons of stuff without detection. If Iraq did destroy WMD, then the war was fought without justification. I won't argue that the world isn't better without Hussein... but keep in mind that our own intelligence released an ignored report last october that came to the conclusion That Saddam out of power is more dangerous than Saddam in power if he isnt dead. As for the pictures, they are necessary I think because we havent won over the hearts and minds of the average Iraqi. Again, our fault... we expected a total honeymoon, and we didn't get it. We had little contingency for what was to happen afterwords. Whether this war was justified or not, which I won't get into... I personally think the aftermath (the most important part) has been handled incredibly poorly and the Bush administration appears to have lied to its own people to justify the action. Something not excusable.

Ill let you know how it was, Im getting ready to go to the Arc De Triomphe and SEE lance win again with my own eyes. Just so you know, there has been an accident a day with fans getting in the way... they just dont do much for crowd control there. one time half the riders were held back by a political protest to free a political protester against genetically modified foods near the beginning of the race. oh yeah, lance is my f***ing hero.
  17. Apu as much as this war may not have been justified etc. Nonetheless, these were bad people who needed to be taken care of. We did get into this right or wrong, and now we owe it to the people we ocupy to make it right. This is a start.

    Music Downloaders

there are some dem representatives who want to put downloaders in jail. having worked in record stores, the problem usually isnt the retailer, but the distrubtor and label who make huge markups in transition. If you see a new record for 14.99 on sale, chances are the wholesale cost per piece was 14.50. Mall stores mark up more because they get better deals and can get away with it. I know Im sick of paying 20 bucks for a cd with one good song and 12 crap ones. Bring back the single, Id gladly buy those!
  19. Ann Coulter does have an annoying habit of making s*** up to fit her arguments. She called McCarthy her idol. McCarthy was a showboater who got little accomplished and uncovered nothing. But then again, what is she accomplishing.... oh yeah. Never mind.
  20. Political music? Check out Asian Dub Foundation, an electronicish band that formed mainly to release a single for a friend who was held political prisoner. Atari Teenage Riot from Berlin. XTC in the 80s

Actually, I thought the stuff he was starting to do with Unplugged and the last song they recorded, "You Know Youre Right" was f***ing genius. Much better than Nevermind, or In Utero. They started to expand themselves musically and discovered layering. Sometimes its good to rock out with your cock out... but the Clash were at their best when they were at their most diverse (See: London Calling)
  23. If you want good politics in your punk, skip NOFX and just listen to some Bad Religion.

    6-3 vote

How eloquently spoken. Why is this important? Its a step to not having to worry about getting fired because someone might think youre gay. Its a step to not having to worry about being "found out" because sometimes people do seek it. This ruling gives gay, bi, trans people the right to exist in the USA. And that´s pretty damn important.
