  1. Having a good season and/or staying on the field in 2023. Thread title changed for clarity.
  2. So was the freak injury when he tore his pec in 2021 ST. How many freak injuries is he allowed?
  3. Eloy tore his hammy running to 1B. I have to see him stay healthy for a season before having any confidence.
  4. See what you have. If worst comes to worst, DFA Grandal on Memorial day like they did with Keuchel.
  5. The fact that the incentives were plate appearance based meant it was funny money. Sox FO would have never let him reach those.
  6. Which player do you have the most confidence in for 2023? Mine is Moncada because he generally plays the most games, was mostly fine from the right side in 2022 after a while and his left hand swing, which is usually his better side, was fucked all season due to the oblique injury. My least confident is Grandal because he's a 34 year old catcher that has leg problems. Only reason I didn't pick one of Giolito/Robert/Jimenez: I think Robert and Eloy are just perpetually injury prone I have no idea if Giolito's body will cooperate. I trust him to put in the work to get velo back, I have no idea whether or not it will happen for him. 162 game fWAR averages: Jimenez-2.6 Moncada-3.4 Grandal-5.4 Robert-4.8 If you think 120 games is more fair for Grandal, his fWAR is 4.0 in that case. 175 IP fWAR averages Kopech-2.3 Giolito-2.7
  7. Madrigal sucks.
  8. Well, I suffer from both. It's pretty difficult to exist as an autistic person and not have PTSD. It bleeds over into my sports fandom because a lot of it is based on things that I have no control over.
  9. Biggio sucks. BTW I like Vera as a prospect but he is in the Crochet mold that he got into the system too old to ever get out of the bullpen and build up his arm. I wouldn't be opposed to trading him.
  10. I wasn't making fun of it. Maybe Jaded is a better word? It wasn't a joke. The issue is that I take Sox baseball too damn seriously. This board is a big part of what keeps me ticking and makes life worth living for all of the s%*# I deal with. I didn't realize that until it was gone.
  11. I think they're going to give Grandal until Memorial Day just like they did Keuchel.
  12. Nope, but both are legit problems. Let's not argue about what's worse. Both experiences are valid.
  13. Ever tried to grow up undiagnosed autistic?
  14. Sheets will play the OF at some point in 2023 IMO. There's also the possibility that Colas sucks.
  15. If they signed Bryce Harper in 2019 that would have been a legit good move.
  16. This is accurate, logical. It's a meh move. also chicken little because they went floor instead of ceiling. I'd have rather gone for someone with more upside. These are my true thoughts, PTSD aside.
  17. It's half schtick and half legit PTSD. When was the last time the Sox signed someone that didn't completely suck or get injured at some point during their contract? Grandal was great for his first 2 seasons, but fell off a cliff in his 3rd. Murphy's law rules the White Sox.
  18. Any move the Sox make is bad, because the Sox only make bad moves. Like I said too much PTSD. Everyone sucks.
