This is very different than Sale as he had proven that he could start, and pitched a bunch of innings in 2010 between college, the minors and the MLB bullpen. Crochet hasn't been a starter since HS. One can only hope it works that well.

Sounds like Crochet is getting Papelbon-ed

Old: Mega Hendriks Speculation Thread

MLM is just a pyramid scheme that's cleaned up so it's somewhat kosher. It's still a fucking scam and always has been. It's fraud. C'mon Tex, you know better.
-
Pyramid schemes should be illegal.

Also Wentz. Wentz was probably going to win MVP in 2017 had he not been injured. Look at him now.

Dodgers sign Bauer (3/102, opt-outs, 40-45-17)
Jack Parkman replied to Jose Abreu's topic in The Diamond Club
I think Bauer ends up in San Diego. The Padres are not fucking around. -
Very true. I meant that it hasn't lost it's collective shit to the point of no return. The lack of empathy most people have for human suffering is astounding.
-
Yeah, that makes more sense. Glad to see that America has not lost its collective shit.

How long have you guys known it was him? lolz.

That's why I qualified it with "based on the sample of that poll" I understand how things work. It wouldn't surprise me though.
-
The majority of the country does, based on the sample in that poll. The majority of Republicans support what happened yesterday. America is mentally ill.

Of course it's ridiculously unachievable, but I want those who are outed as bad to be held accountable. Apparently that's too much to ask. When I said that, that is my personal opinion in an encounter with a police officer. Even if I know a person personally, that might be a cop, I have no idea what they do on the job. Cops are bad until proven otherwise, means that I have to assume they're potentially bad until proven otherwise. They want that to change? Hold bad cops accountable. It's up to them to do it. The police department is not the fucking mafia. I refuse to give the police the benefit of the doubt until they have some sort of accountability. How can I trust them to police my neighborhood when I cannot trust them to police themselves?
-
Nobody said all cops were bad. I assumed that was implied, but I guess that I gave everyone too much credit. These are not protestors, they're fucking terrorists. There are wayyyyyy too many bad cops. One anywhere in the country is one too many.
-
With all of the shit that Hillary got for Benghazi, there better be 10 times as many hearings about today than there were about that incident.
-
I do not doubt that there are good cops. Unfortunately, they have to prove it because the bad ones are not held accountable and get away with murder regularly. I absolutely sympathize with those who were just trying to do their job today. In my opinion the evidence that a bunch of cops colluded with Trump to let the madmen in is that it happened at all......it was easily preventable if there had been proper security precautions taken. There's no way what happened today was possible without the police being complicit. None whatsoever. I cannot believe we're actually having this discussion. I have a problem with people just blindly believing that the cops are justified in their behavior just because they're cops. They've 100% earned skepticism. One bad cop is one too many. I do not think that anybody here thinks that what happened today was ok by any means........but please, I ask you to go read the 2006 DOJ report about PDs being infiltrated by fascist groups.
-
I don't think every officer at the scene was complicit. I do think that someone high up in the chain of command in the capitol police and DCPD was though. Someone needs to answer for why there wasn't adequate security today, when it was known there was a high probability of civil unrest today for weeks. I'm not pointing fingers at every police officer on duty there today. I'm pointing fingers at: 1. Chain of command/lack of preparation 2. The police who let the terrorists into the capitol unopposed 3. Those who took selfies with Vanilla ISIS
-
There's plenty of evidence, if you open your eyes. Quit blindly believing that cops are just. There's no way that anyone could have thought that the amount of security near the capitol today was adequate. No way in hell.

I didn't read the entire thread before posting, please forgive me. I was talking about this thread, right now, where people are making excuses for the police not having proper security around the capitol building. I do not believe all cops are bad. I do believe there is a toxic culture in policing that allows it to be infiltrated by white supremacist and other fascist sympathizing groups. Unfortunately, because of the preponderance of evidence to this, I have to assume complicity because there is no other logical explanation for the lack of security at the capitol today, especially when compared to the BLM protests this summer. It's a shame that I have to assume the worst about police until proven otherwise, but they have brought this upon themselves. The lack of accountability over the entirety of my lifespan is astounding. A policeman's job is to apprehend criminals. It is not judge, jury and executioner.
