^^^^^ Sale is gone and is never coming back. Get over it people. I'm more than happy with Moncada. Anything that Kopech and Basabe give is just a bonus.
-
Older bat that has a history of success, but also has no defensive position. Yup, fits the White Sox to a tee. Then, he goes and has the 2-3 worst seasons of his career.
-
Just FYI guys, the forecast looks awful all weekend. The entire series might be washed. It looks like there's a window tomorrow afternoon, but who knows?
-
He should be experimenting with every secondary pitch that exists and them narrow it down and experiment with different grips this winter. That is what the Rapsodo is for. They better have one. If they don't trade him in a package for a RF upgrade, I'd give Fulmer until Memorial Day to get his shit together before it is DFA time. He passes the eye test stuff-wise.
-
Agree on Cordero, disagree on Ruiz. Ruiz doesn't have an MLB quality secondary pitch.
-
Fulmer is incredibly frustrating. He'd be a good setup man if he had any clue where his shit was going. Even when he has a good inning it's because he's effectively wild.

Arguable vs. Giolito. Moncada-5.4 fWAR Giolito-5.1 fWAR
-
Not really, but whatever.
-
Why the fuck is Cordell in LF and not Palka?
-
I thought it was going to be Moncada not Anderson. Moncada and Giolito were the two best Sox this year.

State of Chicago baseball: the tipping point

Don't put hockey in the same category as the WNBA or MLS. Even Charles Barkley thinks the Stanley Cup Playoffs is the best tournament in sports. -
State of Chicago baseball: the tipping point

I don't know why. The Bears are just as pathetic as the baseball teams. If you're going on pure winning, the Blackhawks should be the toast of town, having won 3 Cups in the last decade. The Cubs, Sox and Bears only have 1 championship each in the modern era of their sport. There is no reason why any should be the most popular team in town. Even though the Bulls had the most success, they haven't won shit in 20 years. To be honest, the Sox are the city's best hope for the next champions, as I don't trust Trubisky to get the job done there. -
Right now I'm not though.

Well it looks like Herrera is finally healthy.

Cease starts tomorrow, so that is a reason to watch.

My folks support me. They're kind enough to know that it's tough out there for a person on the spectrum. Between my SSI and Uber Eats I can cover most of my bills. My folks cover my healthcare and food, but I'm ok for the most part. If I didn't live at home there would be no way in hell I'd make it.

That 2-1 pitch should have been in the stands.

You don't know how much the combination of autism+chronic pain hinders your ability to find work and make a living for yourself. I hate sitting around feeling like a worthless sack of shit most of the time. Even though there are never any guarantees with surgery for chronic pain, it's worth the risk and cost because if I didn't do anything it was only going to get worse, and I was going to get fat and die and start to have to use a motor scooter while waiting for heart disease to kill me. I think I could have overcome the autism issues if I didn't have chronic pain as well.
-
So, I actually misunderstood what he said. He said there is the potential for it to happen but there are no guarantees. He asked me to try to find work for the next 18 months and then we'll re-evaluate, because he'll have a better idea about what's going on with his business then. The potential still exists, but there's no way of knowing for at least another 15 months or so. Everything is on hold here, and he asked me to assume that it doesn't exist for the time being. Sorry for jumping the gun guys. He wants to help, but he also wants him to be my "if nothing happens in the next 18-24 months" fallback plan. Because of my chronic pain issues and corrective surgeries I've been doing for the last 5 months and will end up taking away 12 months of my work potential, I can't even start looking for a job in good faith until February.

I do, and if the FO doesn't, then this winter is going to look a lot like last winter.

OMG you read my mind. All have the ability to steal 30+ bags.

Ok, I'm game. Send one over.

Yes, and yes. 1) The problem isn't the education, it's the cost. I don't think College should necessarily be free, but tuition and books shouldn't be more than 2-3K per year. The scam isn't the education, it is the price of it. Any degree can be useless. I got a STEM degree and I'm not using it. 2) Interest rates on those things are outrageous. They used to call it loansharking, and it used to fall under racketeering. It still is. It is impossible to get by in modern life without borrowing money here and there. The problem isn't the people, it is the predatory nature of these industries.

It's no different than any other form of white-collar fraud. Bernie Madoff is in jail, the people that run these things should be too. The bolded is too much to ask. The average person is really stupid. Sometimes, you have to protect people from their own stupidity. People should not be allowed to get super rich running a scam like this. It's criminal. White collar crime is a huge problem and much of it has become legal. They're just stealing a piece of the pie that everyone should be getting. I don't think this is an extreme viewpoint at all. I think it is common sense. It already walks on the borders of legality. Let's just put it on the other side where it belongs. If you want to discuss further, take it to PM.

Ozuna and Castellanos are also not RF. Ozuna has had a bad year, so hard pass, and Castellanos is Eloy in RF. I'm interested in Castellanos, but only as a DH.
