  1. I also heard on the radio that on Monday there would be an appearance by AJ, Baines and Farmer with the trophy at Niketown.
  2. Sox website says gates open 2 hours before the game, parking opens 3 hours before the game. I'd get there around 7:00 am if the wife let me.
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 29, 2006 -> 05:47 PM) Great, your access is working again. I was checking through my email and it looked as if you had a problem and I don't remember if I got back to your email or not. It does kinda come and go, but thanks for everything you do when a problem pops up.
  4. I just checked MLB.com and Doug Eddings is on the roster of ML umpires. Number 88 on the roster, number one in your heart.
  5. Who did SI pick last year? California?
  6. Sunday afternoon the Score is gonna be Sox intensive, and at noon they're gonna replay in its entirety game 4 of the Series. Might get you into the mood.
  7. QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 08:15 AM) Where's Geoff Blum? I guess Jose Valentin edged him out. JOSE VALENTIN??????????
  8. This is from Friday's Southtown: Pace will run shuttle buses this season between the west suburbs ans U.S. Cellular Field. The service debuts for the April 2 season opener. Two Park-n-ride lots along Interstate 55 in Bolingbrook and Burr Ridge will be the departure and return points. A round trip costs $7.50, and tickets bought in 6 packs cost $30. The shuttles will run on nights, weekends and holidays for all games in June, July and August.
  9. You know if you go on the official White Sox website, you can get to the layout of the park, and check the view from each section. Now, I don't know if it will be enough to answer your question, but it's worth a try. Maybe it'll give you an idea at least.
  10. QUOTE(LEXNLIV @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 12:14 PM) Quick question. Does Ozzie have something against Munoz, or has he pre-determined that he just cant help the big club? I'm pretty sure Ozzie said something around Soxfest that Munoz didn't have any guts, although I think he actually said balls.
  11. The Sox have talked to Nancy about using some of her music "canned" so to speak. They'll be able to play a recorded version of Na Na Na, the anthem if necessary, and take me out to the ballgame.
  12. Boone got Mackowiak and Thome out. That's a good step in the right direction.
  13. So if Boone makes it, when he comes into a game, someone will have to be given the job of saying, "Those aren't aren't boos, fans, they're saying 'Booooone'."
  14. Update guy on the Score at 5:00 said the Sox are looking to sign Nomo to a minor league contract???????????
  15. Jenks used the same phrase after the 3rd game of the ALDS. Dan Roan of WGN was interviewing Jenks, live, on the field, and asked him if he had ever pitched in Fenway. Jenks said oh, yeah, I got my tits lit up here in August. Which I think pretty much was a first for WGN. LMAO.
  16. I admit I'm stealing this from today's Barry Rozner column. A reader of that column points out that the Phillies are idle on April 4 - the day the players get their rings. How cool would it be if A-Row walked out on the field for his ring?
  17. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 11:28 AM) I am not ready to put all my eggs in the Bobby Jenks' basket just yet. Because he would eat them.
  18. Just now Joe Cowley of the SunTimes was on the Score. He said that last night Frank called Kenny and Frank said his words were twisted. Kenny told Frank you better calm this stuff down, because if it gets worse, Kenny will lay into him with more behind the scenes things Kenny knows about. Cowley said he got this from Kenny this morning.
  19. Stop him if you've heard this before. I do think it's ironic that in one section Frank blasts the juicers, then in another says that Barry Bonds is an example of why Frank has 4 or 5 more years left. Read and enjoy: http://www.dailysouthtown.com/southtown/ds.../pro/261sd1.htm
  20. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 02:05 AM) I agree it seemed that everytime jenks was on the mound, Rowand would take a step back and the ball would fall in front of him. I'm glad that someone else noticed this. Jenks gave up an inordinate amount of hits to right handed hitters that either dribbled down the 3rd base line, or blooped in front of a too-late charging Rowand. I can remember seeing Ozzie waving at Rowand to come in more and appearing frustrated by A-Row's postioning when Jenks was pitching. I think Jenks is plenty tough enough - he came back from the scrapheap to close out two World Series games, the division clincher, big games against Boston, etc. He's got the slow curve as an equalizer - some days it gets over, some days not.
  21. QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 11:00 AM) I didn't know we had bottom feeder night at the old ballpark You never heard of William Ligue?
  22. I say yes, he's just a tremendous talent. Of course Seattle got better after he left them, Texas is better off without him and the Yankees haven't fared too well in the playoffs with him. But as an individual player, he's the best around.
  23. I'd love to see a picture of this. http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/sportsstory.asp?id=158459
  24. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 06:43 AM) Speaking of Dmitri Young, is he even on a team right now? On his player page on ESPN.com, it still says Tigers at the top, but I'm pretty sure he was a free agent. Congratulations Milkman. We've managed to hijack the thread.
  25. Look, this is ridiculous. Expert or non-expert opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one. The only thing that matters is what happens on the field. You have to like the Sox' chances, but a couple of key injuries and they could be screwed. That's what the six month soap opera is all about.
