  1. If Detroit loses game 4, I wouldn't risk another Verlander start. Kenny Rogers would only have 2 days rest, if he started game 5. Tigers need to win tonight.
  2. Mainly because I would hate to see Crede go. Actually I think we need pitching more then we need Arod.
  3. My thinking is put ARod at 3rd, Crede at SS and deal Uribe.
  4. I would hate to see Crede leave, he is one of my favorites on this team. As far as I'm concerned it will depend of the status of Crede's back. If surgery is required then I was possibly make the move.
  5. I wouldn't give the 2006 White Sox a F as we didn't finish in last place. I would give a D+ mainly because we were doing pretty good the first half of the season prior to the 2nd half flop. Hopefully we can get things in order for 2007.
  6. I also hope he gets the job.
  7. The odds of trading Dye are slim to none.
  8. I like the wild card. The divisonal series should remain a best of 5 series. I wouldn't want any more teams added to the playoffs. Leave things as they are.
  9. I heard that Pinella wasn't offended by what Lyons said, he took it as a joke from I understood. Although Lyons has done stuff like that before so he was probably already on thin ice.
  10. I'm for Detroit. Go Tigers.
  11. I sure wouldn't trade Bmac. I'd give them Vazguez but not Brandon.
  12. QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 19, 2006 -> 01:58 AM) Why can't they just start the season a week earlier and play games in warm weather/domed stadiums? AL: Anaheim, Oakland, Toronto, Tampa, Seattle, Arlington, Kansas City, Minneapolis. NL: Houston, Atlanta, Milwaukee, St Louis, Arizona, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, San Diego It wouldn't be fair to the fans whose teams aren't in a warm climate or don't have a dome stadium. Example Chicago, Detroit, New York and others. Selig is also the one who wants to make it harder for wild card teams to get to the World Series.
  13. With Major League baseball, I can remember from Bowie Kuehn (spelling?) on, and Selig is the worst. On the other hand Fay Vincent was pretty bad.
  14. My thoughts exactly. The Tigers are going to have a hard time next year duplicating what they did this year. It is very hard to repeat.
  15. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 17, 2006 -> 10:28 AM) yet more proof that Selig is the worst commisioner in the history of sports. He is the worst commisioner I've ever seen.
  16. That is really funny. I saw it once before it is really funny, I needed a good laugh. Thanks a bunch for posting it.
  17. QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 10, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) I think all these Japanese guys should go straight to the draft. Just my opinion. And I think for anyone who is entering the league for the first time. DRAFT! You got a very good point there. I agree with you.
  18. I also hope that what Juan is saying is the truth. I always liked the guy.
  19. RIP Johnny Callison!
  20. I don't like the thoughts of playing the Yankees 10 times either, especially in New York.
  21. That's a terrible idea. Next thing they will do will be to get the World Series to end in November.
  22. It wouldn't surprise me if Dusty Baker got the job.
  23. Baines3 replied to fathom's topic in Pale Hose Talk
    That is really good news.
  24. Last I read, the Sox weren't making any comment on it yet. We may end up with a new shortstop.
  25. Even with Pinella the Flubs will still be as bad as ever.
