Angels signed outfielder Steve Finley, who had been with the Dodgers, to a two-year contract with an option for 2007. Finley, who picked Anaheim over Detroit and San Francisco, will help the Angels, but probably not as much as they hope. He's overrated defensively, and for all the talk of his career-high 36 homers, he had an OPS of only 823 last season. A substantial drop-off at age 40 doesn't seem all that likely, but the Angels are getting just a good player, not a star, for their $9 million or so per season

Why do people get thrashed here when they state there opinion on cheapo's ownership? But many here praise dumb trade idea's that will never happen I don't get it
