QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jan 12, 2015 -> 08:21 PM) I seriously can't stand the way the WWE is heading. Triple H and Stephanie piss me off so much. Then it's working. People are supposed to hate them. Wrestling is a story folks, just so happens this part of the story has been fairly weak, but it's all leading somewhere. I happen to see green pastures in the distance, I just can't tell how far away land is. NXT is awesome, at some point that awesomeness is gonna carry over to the main roster. Also Seth Rollins is awesome, he's gotten much, much better on the mic. He is indeed the future. Oh and BTW I make my in ring debut January 31st for smash mouth pro wrestling.......as a ring announcer....I'm nervous as f*** -

Just wanted to throw this out there. Fox is just 81-79 in 10 years without Manning. In that stretch of 10 years he had just 3 years over .500. I'm cool with signing him, but I don't think he's the home run a lot of people are suggesting. -

QUOTE (shipps @ Jan 12, 2015 -> 03:17 PM) I really would loooove to see the Bears sign a HC some time soon here, jeez. I get the feeling that every passing day that goes by they are decreasing their chances to get the guy they want and also continue to go the path of not knowing exactly what they want and will wind up with just a guy that happened to still be there that they liked. I swear if turns out in the future that Bowles was the best of the bunch and the Bears missed out by dorking around I wouldnt be the least surprised. Its Arians all over again. I believe Rex Ryan has been the only HC signed so far correct? It doesn't appear that they're behind or anything. I wouldn't worry too much about it, yes the media already knows that there are teams already scheduling Bowles for a second interview but who knows, we may have just not gotten word about him in Chicago yet. Or perhaps they just wanna stick with the 4-3. -

Bears are said to make a big push for Gary Kubiak. I really liked watching the Ravens offense yesterday and actually found myself wanting Kubiak, so to me, this is good news. -
QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 11, 2015 -> 01:28 AM) my problem is his off fields problems, also is there any rumors of being a problem on the team. I haven't heard anything about him being a bad teammate, and actually quite the opposite. I think he's a great leader on the field. Obviously the concerns off the field are legit, but if Jay is gone you simply can't pass on his talent. There's a reason why he probably doesn't drop to 7. Here's a video on Winston as a leader http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMtMl2vt6ME Kid (and he is just that, a kid) oozes with TWTW.

QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 10, 2015 -> 11:58 PM) i am still with the 2 qb's i wrote about, the 2 that are backup and will be or may be on the trading block. with ref to the this yr QB in the draft, there is only 1 and he is going #1. here is a question, if Winson QB is there, do you want to bears to draft him?? http://walterfootball.com/draft2015charlie.php http://newnfldraft.com/john-es-2015-nfl-mock-draft/ If Jay is gone then you absolutely have to take Winston if he's there. Ironically, talent wise I kinda see a bit of Jay in Winston. That said though he would a whole lot cheaper, and can grow as a QB and as a man of course.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 10, 2015 -> 09:11 PM) I'd say yes to either of the top 2 QBs. I'm wondering what QB might be available around the start of the 2nd? Right now it looks bleak. Maybe Hundley drops a bit and is there but after him the QB class looks hella weak. Guys like Garrett Grayson, Sean Mannion, and Bryce Petty are all in the convo for the 4th best QB. If Cutler is indeed gone, which I'm neither for nor against, I think the best bet for the Bears would be to sign Ryan Mallet and hope he can reach his hyped potential. Snag someone in the mid rounds to compete/groom. I agree with those that said there's not really a safety worth #7 and that they should try and trade back then take best possible defensive player where ever that end up. But I am also kinda rooting for a 3-4 just because of all the talent at the top among 3-4 OLBs.

I can care less about his personality, if the bears are rebuilding and they can get something for him, let him go. Even if they don't wanna rebuild for long, I still think swapping BM for a deep threat could really benefit the offense. I think Wilson could be a solid WR, but I'm not sure he'll be a deep threat. Alshon has already surpassed BM IMO, esp. When you consider age. IMO a deep ball home run hitter to open the middle of the field is what this offense needs. -

Ended up recording it and only watched the awesome tag match....if you get a chance to watch the pres how segment, do it, it was really well put together and will be a nice intro into the company. Also if your bored Matt striker breaks down every match on YouTube which is a good watch and primes you for all the storylines and such. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 01:21 PM) I dont think that entire group is aiding the bears. I think it is just accorsi, because Polian is negotiating returning to Buffalo, Wolf and Casserly are assisting the Jets. Doesnt make a lot of sense to have all of these guys doing multiple GM searches for multiple teams There's an ESPN article about it that I can't post from my tablet. Those guys form a group called NFL Career Development Advisory Panel. Our boy Ted talked about being able to consult with not only Accorsi but the other members of the panel as well. Maybe that doesn't include the guys you mentioned though. -

Bears GM/Head coach search is being aided by a group that features Accorsi, Bill Polian, Charlie Casserly, Ron Wolf, Tony Dungy, John Madden, Dennis Green, and Carl Peterson. With that wealth of football knowledge I can't see Ted and company going against the reccomendations of those guys. I am now of the belief that the bears will hire the right guy at both spots. Hopefully while working with Polian they can convince him to stay in the organization. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 29, 2014 -> 12:40 PM) you should have a problem with it. They need to stop trying to make patches to force Cutler to become something that he is not. They also need to bring in a guy who will run the ball a lot if Jay is our QB. The fact that he's had success with Jay is merely a plus. But for the record I want Rex Ryan. -

QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 29, 2014 -> 12:11 PM) Shanahan will be another move just to enable Cutler. Hmmmmmmmmmmm great. But he's also a good football coach. One who will have the offense run the ball more, which is what everyone wants right? The fact that Jay had some good year under him is just an added bonus to me, and one that I really see no problem with. -
QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 26, 2014 -> 03:50 PM) i really don't think that 99% of the posters here care if he is a great interviewer, or funny person on TV, as long as the Sox win. They shouldn't, but I threw the new guy a bone to chew on. I'm sure he's not some robot in the dugout/clubhouse. I can't post videos from my tablet so I'd love for someone to post the video of him mocking piazza. Its a classic that I'm not sure everyone has seen.

I really think Robin is "Misunterstood" or his personality just doesn't show in interviews (it doesn't have to). I remember him either being on intential tall during the winter meetings and Millar called him sneaky funny...and then you have this... Then if you go look up (cant copy and paste link from youtube) his video of him mocking Piazza you can see that he's a fun dude, or at least he was. But ya all of that is really irrelevant.

I watched an episode of Hawaii five-o not to long ago where a dude hacked a plane. That was obviously just a TV show, but I think the ability to do so may be a thing.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Decmum nby b 21, 2014 -> 02:14 PM) but how often does that actually work, especially when signing multiple guys to fill holes? might be better off trading Cutler(of course easier said then done given the contract) and getting mid round picks. Suck next year and get a top pick for a QB and not spend all that money on free agents, who are usually players their former team didnt want b/c if they wanted them, they'd never hit free agency. Well the reply i made was in reffernce to giving something up to trade Jay. I agree that it might be better off trading him for mid round picks, but not if the bears are sending mid or higher round picks back as well. That's counter intuitive. -
A google search tells me no but maybe I'm missing someting...In an effort to save money I'm thinking about getting a roku...but only if theres way to full baseball, basketball, and football games...I'm SOL n that regard right?

Giving up anything to trade jay would be dumb. They're not getting Mariota or Jameis and there is no other plug and play qb in the draft. Keep the pick wait a year then take the 3 mil cap hit to cut him if he still blows. Again the bears still have 29 mill, 10th most, in cap room even with Jay still around so it's not like they can't add good pieces to the d because of Jay. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 19, 2014 -> 02:04 PM) I think as an organization, we need to stop looking at FA as this magical elixir and really win this back in the scouting and draft. The best teams draft well and do it well. That also means you can make timely personell moves via FA, etc, but we can't look at spending significant cap room each year via free agency, imo. Certainly would be nice but were talking about a 2-3 year minimum (depending on how well we start drafting) rebuild. I see no problem adding talent via Fa if you have no in house talent to begin with. Start drafting well then in 2-3 years they can starting resigning their own vs going outside the org. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 19, 2014 -> 12:53 PM) Yes, but the holes are enormous. Meh, with a solid draft and 29 mill in cap room it's not impossible to fill those holes. In my ideal fantasy world K.J. Wright and Louis Delmas hit the fa market and sign with the Bears. That fills the 2 biggest needs quite nicely. Then in the draft they hit on another corner, an offensive tackle, and a center early. Most importantly a whole new coaching staff (And yes I'm saying all this with Jay as our starting qb)
