Ok, you have to watch the first episode to care about any of these people. I like the show pretty well now, I can especially relate to the group meeting at the end of the episode. That was the most moving part.

So ask yourself the next time you're looking at these girls/guys/other, am I supporting the abuse of that person? whether its physical, emotional, financial abuse depends, but the point is there. I'm not saying "I'm right" and "you're wrong." I'm saying that people don't think about it. They don't think about the people it effects, whether it's themselves, someone close to them, or a person on the other side of the world making dimes to humiliate themselves. That's what I think about that...since you asked.

any "The Nine" fans here? I watched one episode so far (have to go back and watch epi's 1 & 2)... so far I'm not that impressed, but I'll invest time in 3-4 more episodes. The bank robbers seemed to be know it alls, but totally blow it on the execution of the robbery. Of course it's a tv show so everything is completely amped for the drama and story. the typical bank robbery lasts 45 seconds and the robbery gets ~$2500. My bank robbery lasted about 60-90 seconds. The guy was quick, smart, arrogant, and caught in 6 months.

it means that there's a huge independent group that votes down the middle of the aisle. When one party shows total disregard for their votes, they go the opposite way. The GOP got slammed because they acted in complete defiance of everyone's wishes...however, if things went better in Iraq, and i would say incredibly better, this would be moot. GOP would retain house. So, I actually feel really great about this election because I believe politicians are going to have to work together (at least marginally) so that their seats in congress are protected. Hooray for Democracy!
