  1. Wise has hit nowhere, and apparently not good enuf defensively to have stuck anywhere. As far as pinch running-when did he ever steal a clutch base? This decision will be regretted. The sight of Wise sickens me
  2. Hope its Linebrink-he couldnt get Wise out right now. Well, maybe not
  3. Our decision makers must have missed Friday nights game and that stellar display of outfield skill Wise has. There's nothing "Wise" about this decision
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 20, 2009 -> 02:16 PM) Didn't Wise already get DFA'd once earlier this year and make it through waivers? There is no demand for him among any other teams, so the options excuse doesn't hold much water. He should be GFO'd not just DFA'd. This is a decision that cannot be explained
  5. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 20, 2009 -> 12:13 PM) Wise got his first homer on Sunday vrs the Orioles Hopefully his last
  6. Linebrink has become ineffective and they have lost confidence in him, evidenced by 6th inning appearance last nite-why not?
  7. Its like negating the DH having him bat 9th. I know Guillen likes NL ball, but this is taking it to an extreme
  8. Mark stemmed the tide for the AL-proud of him as usual
  9. I see Huet going (for cap relief) and a guy like Curtis Joseph signed for a 1 year run until the 2 young goalies take over
  10. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Jul 13, 2009 -> 10:21 AM) That surface has injured so many f***ing people needlessly, in both baseball and football games. I almost want to attend the implosion and cheer. I will attend
  11. QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Jul 13, 2009 -> 01:06 PM) This is disgraceful and an abuse of the need for bankruptcy. I cant see with the cash flow they have how their creditors can get screwed so they could be sold. I'd love it if a few creditors got together and at least tried to force them into liquidation.

  13. I like our team and its future. However I dont think we can win a division this year with players in key positions going thru on the job training. I am referring to the left side of the IF.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2009 -> 11:28 AM) Just like if you woke up from a 40 year coma 2 weeks ago, you would have thought that Michael Jackson cured cancer, solved world hunger, and won the World Series for the Cubs. Put THAT on the board YES
  15. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 8, 2009 -> 09:54 AM) But Shparton is right, he was absolutely normal. As normal as Sharpton
  16. We have been lousy at home-the weather has been cold, and this is where the season tickets sold are about the only attendance. And there may have been more if they would have went with the times and let people pay in installments like always before last year. That decision was THEIR fault. I have tickets for the 2 races at Bristol TN. This year for the first time, you can pay on installments. But not the White Sox. (2 half payments at these prices dont do it, especially at Christmas) Instead of complaining about attendance, do something to encourage it. Also, we used to have big crowds on half price nights, rowdy but big. Those seats are also now empty because fans were used to half price-so the economy goes bad, they dont adjust, and its our fault. Sorry rich people, take your share of the blame
  17. I deal with distressed businesses every day and to a person they say the stimulus should have went to businesses that can put people to work, pay their bills, get credit lines etc. Not to banks who hoard the $ and to companies that were terminally ill. I dont know anyone that got "laid off" that has been called back. Thats the failure of the stimulus policy. If people work, they buy, travel and spend $. Not enuf middle class people can get work-executives dont get laid off
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 04:04 PM) Anderson's had very little value ever since the start of 2006. At this point, he's more valuable as a defensive replacement than as a trade chip. Defense in CF wins games
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 1, 2009 -> 03:35 AM) Really-its fun watching again-the enthusiasm and unpredictability of young budding stars I love it
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 29, 2009 -> 08:29 PM) Nice pick up by the Tribe. Future Hendry signing
  21. I dont think Crede makes that play Slayer just made
  22. Sans this series, we just havent been playing well at home. Many games boring and dont forget all those shut outs.
