Burger was a tiny reach if you can call it that but the fact that Kendall slid 12 more spots before landing with the Dodgers should be pretty telling, yeah he is a tool shed but the sox finally came to terms with the fact that they might not be well positioned to develop those types of players and would be better off drafting highly polished position players that have high floors and medium ceilings.

before the season began i picked Jordan Guerrero as my break out candidate and after a horrid April he has been on fire. Even in April he was still limiting walks and striking out a ton of guys. Best Draft Talent Available on Day Two

So where do the sox go from here? next pick is at 87 followed by 117. I would love to see them snag Luis Gonzalez at 87 [mlb.com has him as the 106 prospect] a left handed hitting CF, his profile just screams this new philosophy and he has been comped to Ender Inciarte. He put up this line in the MWC .361/.500/.589 - 1089 and has more walks(58 20%) than strike outs(32 11%). Klaw also had him as the last pick in the first round in one of his recent mock drafts. with the savings from the first three picks i would use that money to go after the best prep arm remaining on the board at 117.
