  1. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Apr 27, 2017 -> 04:12 PM) Will be getting an updated MLB.com top 100 draft list sometime today. new list is up link Here is what I think could be a realistic draft for their first three picks. 11 - Adam Haseley 49 - Bryce Montes de Oca 87 - Luis Gonzalez Having missed out on Benintendi previously they get their "guy" here at 11 with Haseley . They have a history with Montes de Oca and could come under the slot value of 1.39M, due to familiarity, popping him early and his injury concerns. Gonzalez fits the mold of the recent draft trend the Ender Inciarte comp is nice.
  2. Leury Garcia...the next...Carl Everett????
  3. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 26, 2017 -> 12:12 PM) I've had enough. Send Dunning to A+ already. Agreed, hell skip A+ someone needs to challenge Kopech in that rotation
  4. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 26, 2017 -> 02:25 PM) PUT HIM AT DH Seriously. Frazier at 3B, Davidson / Delmonico at 1B and Abreu at DH.
  5. it appears Abreu strained something on the e3...love Jose but he is horrid at 1B.
  6. I would love for Haseley or Kendall to be there at #11 and the Seth Romero to fall to #49 because of make up issues but I doubt that happens. Baz and Gore have picked up a lot of steam recently.
  7. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 01:50 PM) I think that is the case Other clubs will very much be in the mix, but the Sox do have money to spend with a minimum of Melky and Frazier coming off the books at the end of the season Trading Robertson would ideally free up even more payroll moving forward, as would Quintana Shields comes off the books after next season, leaving us with barely any significant contracts remaining I see the Sox being very aggressive in the Robert bidding war I too see the sox being super aggressive; to my knowledge they aren't linked to any of the top international prospects headlining this upcoming period, so they might as well add a "top 25" prospect in Robert and blow past the pool. Sox are on the hook for 37.8M next year, if Shields can come back healthy and continue to show that he can be a 4/5 starter i could see the sox eating all of his remaining contract (15m by the deadline) and just transferring the buyout money (2M) for some lotto tickets. with Quintana, Robertson, Shields, Jones and Abreu gone their payroll would rival the 2006 marlins.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 12:17 PM) Out of curiosity, does anyone have R/L splits for Davidson from the minors? Are they extreme? '13 @ AAA vs. L - .225/.333/.304 - .637 vs. R -.296/.355/.534 - .889 '14 @ AAA vs. L - .176/.292/.331 - .623 vs. R - .208/.279/.374 - .653 '15 @ AAA vs. L - .217/.304/.435 - .739 vs. R - .196/.288/.349 - .637 '16 @ AAA vs. L - .312/.393/.532 - .926 vs. R -.251/.332/.411 - .743
  9. I would love to see Holland or MiGo moved to a team like the dbacks for pick #68 and an interesting lotto ticket like Marcus Wilson. of the teams that have picks that might consider trading them i would say there are four maybe five, if the Rockies really pull ahead. pick 36 - Marlins - $1,888,800 pick 68 - Dbacks - $880,100 pick 70 - Rockies - $837,300 pick 74 - Orioles - $779,500 pick 75 - Astros - $767,400
  10. QUOTE (ptatc @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 10:56 AM) You mean if he could play 11 years, hit 240 HR and win a couple of gold gloves? I think any team would take that. haha, I was speaking solely from the offensive side. similar profiles. Matt obviously doesn't have the glove and is getting his look about 5 years later than when Jesse started. Having said that I think his glove is better than Reynolds and he does have some nice pop, doubt he would hit 40 like Barfield though.
  11. If Davidson could develop into a Jesse Barfield / Mark Reynolds type of bat that would be a boon for this organization.
  12. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Apr 23, 2017 -> 10:36 PM) I'm very, very impressed with the fact that Collins has thrown out 10 of 14 would be base stealers, and has picked off at least 3 others. His offensive numbers aren't really on my mind much. I'm at the same place I would rather he focus on his defense which he is doing while maintaining his plate discipline than focus only on hitting at this stage. If he can stick behind the dish the sox are better served.
  13. I have a hard time seeing the sox pass up on Adam Haseley if he is available he has major helium and is putting himself in a similar situation as benintendi, fits with the timeline and recent philosophy of polished college hitters that can take a walk. He could be on a fast track and get a cup of coffee in a year.
  14. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Apr 19, 2017 -> 10:39 PM) Lol, especially Voth? Seriously? No biggie, they can keep him , it's just the notion that makes me laugh. If the Nat's think they will get Robertson that cheap, they won't be acquiring him. Would love to snag Juan Soto and Blake Perkins from Washington. Soto & Kieboom sounds great to me.
  15. wakka wakka, glad Covey is here to realign expectations....#tankforpicksonethroughthree
  16. per mlb trade rumors
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 19, 2017 -> 06:32 PM) Asche and May can console each other in the airport bar. I legit laughed out loud at this
  18. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Apr 19, 2017 -> 03:17 PM) Roman is interesting as a future utility guy Hamilton seems like his ceiling is a middle reliever 2016 draft class, great or greatest? will it rival the red sox's 2011 class?
  19. game. I hope that error is changed for Hollands sake.
  20. Leury with a knock, tying run up to the plate.
