  8. QUOTE (BrianAnderson @ Mar 22, 2016 -> 12:08 PM) I may be in the minority here. But does anybody really have any more faith in Latos, Danks, or Johnson to throw better than Fulmer? Even with his inexperience? I'd rather take his lumps in the majors than suffer through Latos or Danks lumps. I sincerely think I'd take his 160-180 innings in the majors helping us win and hopefully acquire talent at the deadline. still need 1 of the 3 you mentioned to fill out the rotation. After this year danks is a FA and if Latos produces i could see the sox signing him to a contract similar to Kazmir and breaking in Fulmer.
  9. QUOTE (hi8is @ Mar 22, 2016 -> 03:14 PM) f***. Yes. Anyone see what his fastball was at? i can't find it, i checked game day but nothing.
  10. Nice inning by latos, pouring in strikes, the HBP his curve just got away, but he looks sharp.
  11. nasty pitch by Latos dropping the hook on Blanco
  12. Jordan Sheffield tonight struggled with command over six innings; one unearned run, five hits, five walks and nine strikeouts.
  13. best case scenario: KW gets fired or leaves team actually performs and makes the post season. middle of the road: KW gets fired, team sucks total rebuild after the season sox are competitive in '18 from all the blue chips Sale, Q & Abreu bring in, + whatever they get for their 5th best bullpen and Frazier. Future core is Rodon, Fulmer and Anderson + all the blue chips. worst case scenario: KW stays, team sucks and sale is traded.
  14. QUOTE (y2chae @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 03:02 PM) If Sale doesn't want to resign with the White Sox solely because they wouldn't let LaRoche's weiner kid hang around, then well, I'd have to question his priorities
  15. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 02:52 PM) Well, the slim chance of Sale coming back to the Sox after his contract is up has officially bit the dust. I highly doubt in four years when Sale is a FA this will be the reason why he chooses to stay or leave.
  16. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 29, 2016 -> 09:32 AM) Desmond Jennings for Petricka would be an excellent move for White Sox. Could Jennings push Eaton to a corner and play CF? I'd like that Jennings fits the window/age/budget and lines up with the sox depth. If the hype is to believed from Dan Farnsworth maybe an eventual outfield of Jennings / Engle / Eaton from left to right could be had.
  17. I'm a fan of this deal especially with how the market has finally begun to price elite relief arms in addition to how "closers" get paid in ARB.
  18. QUOTE (soxsider11 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 04:55 PM) What about adding span to play CF? I would honestly like span and upton with eaton sliding over. Defense is upgraded and adding two solid OBP to this team would really help I really like the idea of adding Span to play CF moving Eaton to RF and getting one of the LFers on the market, the let Saladino play SS. This offense looks really good. projects for 19WAR from steamer with an additional 1.6 coming from the bench while still missing one more utility infielder / 4th outfielder. Also there is a fair bit of upside in Span, Abreu, Eaton. Lawrie offers real potential as well. Avila's appears high but if hes healthy with our staff i can see it being a reality and if Saladino plays a competent SS with a .700 OPS after his second go around hes a complete wildcard in terms of value. Having Frazier and Lawrie for the next two years also gives the sox a nice window to go after a depressed central division and the wildcard if after '17 it isn't working you can still move Sale, Q, Abreu, Eaton and Robertson for a rebuild/reload in addition to likely picking up a pick for frazier and possibly lawrie (if thats still a thing in the cba).
  19. Cespedes since he won't cost a pick, followed by Upton and Gordon.
  20. I'm sad to see Trayce go. Having said that this is a good move. Sox need to sign a 3WAR OFer, If they do that they're sitting at about 36WAR as projected from steamer. That puts us in the thick of it for the wild card and the central, with a fair amount of upside in projections regarding Sale, Quintana and Eaton, with some additional upside in Lawrie, Johnson, Danks & Saladino.
