  1. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 3, 2017 -> 03:39 PM) I thought someone above said the tarp came off? It was a tease.
  2. I can see the cars that wil inevitably deliver the team in the centerfield tunnel. Waste of time.
  3. QUOTE (kev211 @ Apr 3, 2017 -> 03:17 PM) It's barely even drizzling here and has been since 2 pm. Absolute joke this game hasn't started. And they have a window to play it in. If they were not willing to play in this they should've called it at 8am. It's definitely more than a drizzle. On and off, sure, but more on than off
  4. QUOTE (coco1997 @ Apr 2, 2017 -> 06:34 PM) I wouldn't mind them using the spring training as an alt but they desperately need to drop the diagonal "Sox" from the sleeve. It clashes horribly with the 80s' "SOX" logo the chest and the batterman on the cap. That thing is definitely not a gamer. If the Sox are going to rebrand, the 83 look in the 90s-current color palette would be a great way to go, but the spring training jersey is just a mess.
  5. Love the matte black, but the raised logo really does the trick.
  6. QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 2, 2017 -> 07:29 AM) If it rains, will they do the makeup game on Tuesday, which is their scheduled off-day? If anyone knows Yes. I believe that is the purpose of the scheduled off day.
  7. Got my tickets for Guardians Of The Galaxy 2! That's gonna be a good one!
  8. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Mar 23, 2017 -> 08:13 PM) Looking for somebody who knows Photoshop or some other editing software. I think the task would be pretty simple for somebody who knows what they are doing. The problem is none of us have any idea what we are doing. It is for a band and you will receive a CD and stickers for your time, some vinyl too if you want it. Please let me know if you are interested. I have some experience in that field. I was a touring musician for 6+ years and I did all of our print and digital layout and design. This was a little while ago but I think I can still work some stuff up. Shoot me an e-mail if you'd like chrissamsa (at) Gmail dot com
  9. QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 23, 2017 -> 08:43 AM) The peak of the tourney to me was the first inning of the Netherlands-Puerto Rico semifinal game. You had two huge plays from Yadier Molina to make the first two outs and the atmosphere was just insane. Then Wladimir Balentien, who it seemed like was able to win games by sheer force of will, hits a bomb and just goes ham and as he watches it leave the yard. That was the most fun, but somewhere Ian Kinsler was s***ting himself watching all that disrespect. That was the best half inning of baseball I've watched in a long time.
  10. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 10:35 AM) It has nothing to do with us not realizing how good he was. We all saw it. The hangup is that he was only here for 6 full years and just 5 as a starter. If you start retiring numbers for guys that played for you for 6 years, you're going to start running out of numbers. Are you really trying to argue that Sale deserves his number retired more than Buehrle because of his talent level. Obviously peak Sale was better than peak Buehrle but there is a s*** ton more to it than that. Buehrle was here for 12 f***ing years. Not to mention the fact that, oh, I don't know, he was the ace of a World Series winning team. Come on man. We get it. Sale was your favorite. He's gone, move on. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 01:22 PM) MBINAA Came here to make this joke.
  11. This is an improvement, but still not an optimal solution. I've had X1 for a year or so, and a major perk of that package was that I could stream local games to my computer/iPad while on my home Wi-Fi. What I really want is to be able to bounce around games on MLB.TV. The online/AppleTV apps are well done, immersive and include picture-in-picture and I really want to be able to stay in once baseball-focused interface.
  12. Great move for CLE. If their SPs stay healthy they'll make another run at it.
  13. QUOTE (ron883 @ Dec 8, 2016 -> 08:11 PM) Is this the year the white sox give a monster contract to a free agent? They will have so much freer up money by then. Prospects will be developing. Manny machado please? The White Sox have to prove they are a desirable franchise to work/play for before they start throwing contracts around again. Culture is more than being competitive, and they've made great strides this week in showing they have a vision and a mission, now they have to show they have the values that align with top tier talent. With that said, if they show he ability to develop players and build a strong pipeline of talent, the top free agents will at least listen to the White Sox when they call. Depending on need, Manny Machado would be a great first big contract to land if they want to contend in 2019.
  14. Hahn has been focused on getting these guys on team friendly contracts for what seems to be the entirety of his tenure as GM and they're paying off. Quintana, Sale, Eaton... Hahn put those contracts together so he could either build a contender with excess funds or move them during this off season, when it's slim pickings on the free agent market. No, do not slow down. Keep moving MLB pieces with the intention of bringing a group of these guys together on the big club in 2019 or 2020.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 03:26 PM) Except the White Sox organization has always cared about marketing, attendance revenues, perception...you honestly believe all that institutional memory can disappear so quickly? Season ticket reps had a really tough time with their cold calls today.. They're not going to spin this like they're competing.
  16. Hahn said "up the middle" in his presser. I assumed he meant 2b with Anderson staying at SS, but that probably doesn't rule out CF completely.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 29, 2016 -> 08:29 PM) Stunned they let Lackey bat that inning Cubs don't have the bullpen depth they need to only take 3 IP from their starter.
  18. Lindor has someone to hug everywhere he goes. He just hugged one of the Cubs relief pitchers.
  19. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 29, 2016 -> 08:04 PM) They better hope he opts out in a couple years. Why in the world would he do that? Not everyone is Adam LaRoche.
  20. "Beat the throw by a half a step" ... gets overturned
  21. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Oct 15, 2016 -> 07:48 PM) Holy f***, can't believe they don't score there. I know Gonzalez is slow as f***, but he should have aleady been halfway to 3B at the point of contact with Lester pitching. That was basically the equivalent of sending Paul Konerko on that play.
  22. QUOTE (hi8is @ Sep 26, 2016 -> 11:53 PM) That was unreal. Gotta say it... And it takes nothing away from that momentous at-bat.... I think Colon grooved that whole sequence with an intention of giving a lead off home run. An 85 mph meat ball center cut and in on 2-0 just screams, "Mash me far". If so... Nice move by Colon. Such a class act by the Marlins playing with everyone wearing Fernandez jerseys. I hope like hell he threw that pitch to Gordon on purpose. For all we know, Colon let Gordon know what was coming when the teams embraced pregame, and that wouldn't make me look him any differently.
