Uribe
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 25, 2005 -> 09:36 PM) ...of course that's what I meant. You honestly thought I was endorsing playing Widger at third? You have to be kidding me. AJ needs a day or two off. Dude has spent a ton of time behind the plate lately. EDIT: By the way, as anticipated, both Ozuna and Widger are playing tonight. Widger at third. :headshake :headshake Widger is catching tonight, rest assured Crediocre is at 3B

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ May 25, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) This may be the game where Pods sits. Maybe even AJ, considering they're facing a LH. Hopefully, Uribe rides the pine, though since he's 0-for the road trip. In any case, we need Freddy to repeat his Wrigley performance. Pods is a .333 hitter in 39 ABs against LHers, only .257 against Righties. I expect Pods to be in the lineup tonight. Uribe, on the other hand....

willie at SS
Sweet, it had been a while since we had a "Hate on Willie" thread...thanks again!! Because Willie Harris is obviously the main reason we've lost 13 games this year, and have a mediocre team batting average!!! How does he live with himself I wonder?!? :headshake

ANGELS MAKE US EAT SHIT
:headshake at some of the responses about tonights game already... Um, you are gonna go by a 1 game sample size to determine a pitchers quality? The kid was on tonight, hitting spots that our decent hitters couldnt do much with, and ones that s***ty 7-8-9 were falling over trying to not look too lost. It happens, was a great game by Santana, shake it off, cause we got Buehrle goin tomorrow and we need the W

QUOTE(fathom @ May 24, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) Carl Everett is allergic to reaching base when facing a righty. From the 5-23-05 gamethread.

QUOTE(Kogs35 @ May 24, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) crede and uribe need to be benched tomorow night Can't do it...no one there to play....thats the bad thing when both of these asshats are slumping at the same time.

QUOTE(qwerty @ May 24, 2005 -> 12:16 AM) He didn't pitch well tonight. Can that really be disputed? Sure he got out of the innings but 11 hits in 8 innings is bad. He didn't have his good crisp movement on his pitches tonight like he has the rest of the year. Sure the sox could have one this game but garland hardly pitched a good game. I don't think anyone will argue that Garland pitched a good game. But what he did do was pitch a quality game, one that gave us a chance to win....that is a chance to win but unfortunately our hitters creamed themself against the awesome Santana!

Tip your hat to Jonny G, he battled all night, gave another quality outing, and the offense f***ed him. :finger you Joe Crediocre and Juan Uribe

QUOTE(3E8 @ May 23, 2005 -> 10:44 PM) Why's everyone pissed at Timo when he threw a strike to Crede for what should've been the third out of the inning? Its not Timos arm that people bark about...its the fact that he has the range of Ron Karkovice in CF.

Least Crede made up for his s***ty play with a 3 pitch strikeout!! Dickhead.

There ya go Timo, use that uppercut swing to push the ball just out of the infield!! Prick.

5/23/2005 Sox @ Halos Game Thread
Well if the 7-8-9 in the order doesn't kill us at the plate, they will sure as hel lfind a way to do it in the field :headshake Jesus Crede, thats a basic play there that cost us 2 runs, f***stick

QUOTE(fathom @ May 23, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) Timo's playing in CF tonight for Rowand. Our 7-8-9 tonight is downright pathetic. Heres some food for thought...last 7 games played for these 3 clowns.. Uribe 2 for 24 Crede 2 for 25 Perez 3 for 15 Total 7 for 64, thats a whopping .109 BA!!! Tearing the cover off of the ball!!

6 GAME LEAD!
I have one thing to say about all this.... Pods OBP = .394 26 SBs, .294 BA, .394 OBP....thank you Kenny, for getting us something we sorely needed.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Its getting to how i felt back in 2000...."we are down 4? no biggie, we still gonna win." I havent had that feeling in 5 years, and by God its a wonderful thing!!

Brandon McCarthy ML debut game thread vs Cubs
Go get em BMac!! This game is just the icing on the cake...so lets not completely blow our tops if BMac struggles in his debut, cause hey it might happen.

The Count needs some love!
When Contreras learns to get the ball and throw it EVERY game then we'll have a solid pitcher in Jose....his control when working at a laymans pace worries me greatly, if AJ keeps him moving, we got yet another nice arm in our rotation, never have too many of those

Everett in the field
The less I have to see Carl in the OF = the better off I'll feel about our chances to win. I'm sorry, but I dont want to see Everett anywhere in the field unless he HAS to be there, and only then if he is actually hitting well again.
