  1. QUOTE (Disco72 @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 08:53 PM) Ozzie leaving him in to die; I hope they don't pull him. It makes no sense using someone else. Bruney is the sac. lamb.
  2. So Cooper goes out to the mound and Bruney hasn't got anyone out since. Its time Don was fired. He's obviously not getting through.
  3. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 08:50 PM) Time to pack it in Kenny, get a head start on the rebuild Because they are lighing up Brian Bruney?
  4. If the Sox are going to go young, Rios can only poison young players. You have to get rid of him even if it means setting the record for most money ever eaten.
  5. Hawk said twice but I remember 3 times now a player has scored from first on a single against the Sox this season.
  6. Unless he has some mental illness, Rios is making a mockery of being professional.
  7. If the guy doesn't want to play, send him home.
  8. Send De Aza out there right now, embarrass the s*** out of that bum.
  9. At the very least it will delay Jimenez's Cleveland debut.
  10. Beckham should have used the glove, he had plenty of time.
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 06:54 PM) Throw in Billy Jo Robidoux and it's a done deal. With a name like that he should have been a star.
  12. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 06:52 PM) Storen and the twins want bernadina and Steve lombardozzi Bowden thinks its going to happen. The secondary players will be agreed upon.
  13. QUOTE (FlySox87 @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 06:51 PM) It takes the bat right out of Paulie's hands. I'm surprised anyone pitches to PK at all. Youk with some revenge on Morel. Exactly. I have no idea how anyone pitches to Paulie at all. I'd put him on everytime first base was open, and probably put him on if a base was open with 1 or 2 out and I had a LH on the mound.
  14. I find the sweaty Youkilis very annoying, however, if he were a White Sox, I'm sure he'd be one of my favorites.
  15. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 06:49 PM) LOL the twins asking for the world for denard span According to Bowden, he's going to Wash for Storen.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 06:47 PM) If we're still trying to win, it's so bogus we keep playing him. Same goes for Dunn playing in any of the next 3 games. I don't have a problem with them playing Dunn. I do have a problem with him hitting 4th. Its mindboggling.
  17. QUOTE (FlySox87 @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 06:45 PM) Ya know, Dunn blows, but at least he seems like he's trying. Rios obviously isn't, and I know I'm not pointing out anything new here. But this is why I think that Rios would be a much better target for all of the abuse that Dunn gets from the USCF crowds. Maybe that's already happened and I just having been paying attention. It hadn't until now. Now I think he'll get more abuse than Dunn.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 06:45 PM) Rios needs to go up to the plate and just pretend he's Cecil Fielder and put all of his weight into the swing. This current bulls*** stance/swing gives him no power at all. He's also pulling his head. He'll either hit a grounder to SS or 3B or a little pop up to the right side.
  19. So far, the camera crew is having a tough night.
  20. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 06:39 PM) Keith law is an idiot No he's not. He's the greatest baseball mind alive. Just ask him.
  21. Rios had been getting a pass for playing like crap and playing uninterested for quite a while this year. When Ozzie sat him for 4 innings for loafing and he was ultimately platooned, he now is public enemy #1 with the home crowd.
  22. 5 runs in the first, one hit the rest of the way. The Cubs need a new hitting coach.
  23. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 04:47 PM) I would think the weather does play a role but some of the teams you mentioned have the same climate. The economy has a lot to do with it. You wonder at what point the owners are going to admit that when it comes to free agency. White Sox baseball is way over priced. I don't think it has as much to do with the quality on the field as the pricing. Weather plays a role with the Sox in April and May. Not now.
  24. QUOTE (Sockin @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 03:53 PM) @whitesox Chicago White Sox Williams: Chances of any deal "very unlikely," saying potential deals all would hurt club's chances to win division. #WhiteSox Which means nothing. He's not going to say he's going to make a deal. He wants more than what's being offered. Unless he said we will not be making a deal, very unlikely is like Brett Favre saying he's retiring and he means it.
