  1. Hawk taking a slight jab at Ozzie. My God JR. DO SOMETHING
  2. Alex Rios is as dumb as any player the White Sox have ever had. At least baseball-wise.
  3. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Aug 3, 2011 -> 07:23 PM) Did they even finish the game last night? The rain delay gave me an opportunity to turn that s***fest off. They didn't even bother.
  4. Jeter and Granderson are both pretty classy guys.
  5. QUOTE (Cali @ Aug 3, 2011 -> 07:18 PM) Wasn't the game supposed to start like 9 minutes ago? Is it raining? It doesn't have to rain at USCF for a rain delay. I left when it started raining last night and got home at about the same time I would have had they started on time and played a full game. I want to thank JR and the White Sox organization for saving me from watching another 2.5 innings of 2011 White Sox baseball last night.
  6. KW is a buffoon, but wasn't Ozzie crying about having that extension picked up? Now he's making demands? Here's a guy who can't even control his 25 year old punk son on Twitter. Ozzie is under contract so the only way he can go to Miami is if the Sox fire him. If they don't they can have compensation. I'm also quite sure KW is not too popular with the shareholders considering the little bang for their buck he's brought them the last couple of years. They both need to go. The sooner the better. I really think if Ozzie and KW were sent packing tonight, this team would go on a roll.
  7. I wonder how many White Sox bunts this year have actually lead to scoring runs that would not have been scored without bunting. Unfortunately there really is zero way to know.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 09:12 PM) Except for his entire minor league career. Jeff Abbott says hi. Morel has no power and has walked 3 times this year. You constantly have been on Viciedo for not walking but this guy takes that to a whole different level and you look the other way. Why?
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 09:07 PM) Shut up Hawk...Morel just has no power at all. Between him and Pierre, and Rios who has only 4 doubles his last 115 abs or so with no other extra base hits, and Dunn's inability to hit, its going to be hard to generate runs consistently. OPS has to be a number that intrigues the Sox when they think about their offense in the future.
  10. I long for the days when the Sox were loaded with HR hitters.
  11. AJ may have kept Chavez back a little.
  12. Hey a White Sox hustling down the line.
  13. He started out horribly, the Yankees are missing a couple of big bats, and there were several at him bombs hit, but when its all said and done 3 runs and 7 innings is something everyone would have taken from Peavy tonight.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 08:53 PM) Now that we're going with a 5 man rotation, it's just stupid and ignorant to push Peavy like this. I think pushing the envelope a little bit probably will help him in the long run, but its time to take him out. You're playing with fire and you have a shot at winning.
  15. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 08:52 PM) I would think if Konerko wasn't hurt then Dunn would have sat tonight. For some reason, I doubt it.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 08:49 PM) Way to go Ozzie putting that terrible player in the #4 spot against a LHP. It makes zero sense.
  17. Looks like all that weight CC lost this past offseason has been found. He makes Dunn look like a toothpick.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 08:15 PM) I'm not saying Oney isn't a dbag or anything, but what exactly did Teahen have to gain by slamming Oney and then pretending he didn't? Especially when you are talking about someone like this, it is just better to stay out of it, than to poke the idiot. We don't know if Teahen's tweet today was provoked or not, but their general reputations would make you believe that its probable.
  19. Coming into yesterday's game, the Sox had the exact same record as they did when they made the trade with SF in 1997. That team finished 80-81.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:47 PM) If espy is annoyed enough that he went public, don't we expect that the rest of the players feel the same way? @CSNChi_Beatnik Brett Ballantini Safe to say a fair # of #WhiteSox are enraged by Oney's latest tweets on Mark Teahen + wife. One term used was "smash his face in" 3 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:42 PM) Teahen also pretended that he didn't mean Oney. Well supposedly more than a couple of White Sox players are incensed with Oney. One going so far as say he wants to smash his face in, so maybe Teahen didn't start it.
  22. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:35 PM) i dont think it has anything to do with how he is pitching now and he wasnt that good before it with us last year His last 4 or 5 starts before his injury were pretty impressive.
  23. Is it true that on TBS "Sounds of the Game" yesterday, when Ozzie went to tell the umpire Dunn was going to be playing first, the ump told Ozzie he would lose his DH and Ozzie said he hadn't had one since April?
  24. I don't think the plays were as tough as Hawk makes them out to be, but Dunn has been better with the glove than advertised.
  25. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:29 PM) Well 8 pitches for the offense to get through the inning. That's efficiency. After yesterday's marathon, they hope to make this a quick one tonight.
