  1. DFA'd again. I wonder if the D Backs will soon have a leaderless clubhouse.
  2. If you are signing him with the belief that anything he does this season is gravy, good. If you expect anything from him this year, bad. It was interesting to read what Boras said about Rocker in the article. I think the comp plan where they get a draft pick one selection lower, gives teams an out with any kind of alarm bell. I bet if the comp for not signing Rocker was a 2nd or 3rd rounder this year, he'd be a Met.
  3. No it was an afternoon game.
  4. Never did it at Sox Park, but one Sox /Cubs game at Wrigley, my brother and I ate a grand slam. A hot dog, Italian, Polish and a brat. To top it off, we stopped at Weiners Circle and had a cheddar burger.
  5. I've never understood why Chicago is known for their hot dogs without ketchup and deep dish pizza when the Italian Beef is a much better local product.
  6. I get that thinking in a way, but for what it is going to cost, sustained winning ends if he leaves.
  7. Too bad the Sox couldn't come up with the extra $200-300k when they almost signed him as an amateur.
  8. there is next to zero chance the Sox would put together a package impressive enough, plus if it was possible, there would be less than a zero chance they ever could extend him.
  9. It's pretty big. I read where Soldier Field could fit in the infield of the racetrack.
  10. Yes especially when you have no idea how much Yas can catch.
  11. In Philadelphia, the Football stadium, baseketball and football arena, and baseball field are all in one complex. I just don't the the Sox fanbase is in Arlington Heights. Their attendance might drop.
  12. I wonder if it has anything to do with when he had Covid.
  13. Usually he knows his movies. I've always liked his reviews.
  14. Fast and Furious featured Paul Walker , Vin Diesel, , Michelle Rodriquez, Jordana Brewster, Rick Yune, , Chad Lindberg, Johnny Strong, Matt Schulze, Ted Levine, , Vyto Ruginis, Thome Barry, Stanton Rutledge, Noel Gugliemi, Danny Yamato, Beau Holden, Ja Rule, Reggie Lee, David Douglas, Peter Navy Tulasosopo, Doria Anselmo, Glenn Ota, F. Valentino Morales, Mike White, Delphine Pacific, Monica Tomayo, Megan Baker, Tammy Monica Gegamian. Let's see Caulfied throw more names than that in a post.
  15. If Tony were stepping down during the break, I doubt it wouldn't have been announced or at least someone with more credentials leaking it. We are stuck with this clown.
  16. He's had a lot of hammy and groin issues. I don't think he neccessarily busts it a full 90 feet, but picks it up at the end if he needs it. Would love to see him with no leg issues fully busting it. I doubt he still would be 80 percentile.
  17. The other problem would be the vast majority of people in Arlington Heights and surrounding suburbs (its where I grew up) are Cubs fans. The place would probably be even more empty.
  18. If Fields winds up sucking, I think you would have no problem finding enough people to embrace a 2nd Chicago team. They used to have 2 teams. As long as the McCaskeys own the Bears, a 2nd team has a fighting chance.
  19. The guy is always going to be able to go back to college and will instantly be a multi-millionaire. Plus, at least for the top prospects, there is usually a provision in their contract that will have the team pay for college if they ever decide to go back.
  20. 6'9". touched 98. MLBN guy said they had him in the middle of round 1 before he got mono. Other than 1st round HS pitchers usually disappoint, he has some potential.
  21. Really worried about Robert. This is not normal and might explain some of his curious routes in the field lately. Playing 2 short in the biggest seies of the season with the All Star break coming to take some of those IL days is weird.
  22. Read about late strains. They average. A out 3.5 months missed. He'll be lucky to return this season.
  23. I'm not giving up on Eloy. The talent is there for an easy 40 HR guy. Somehow he has to figure out how to remain healthy and he will be the position player version of Rodon.
  24. He’s been hitting the ball pretty hard lately. I was there on Sunday and he hit 3 or 4 balls on the nose and maybe had 1 hit.
