  1. When he saw it was going to be close, Mendick has to stop to make sure the run scores.
  2. He wouldn't have made it anyway, but he has to hustle.
  3. They are playing like it's the 7th game of the WS.
  4. He made the line up like it was the 7th game of spring training.
  5. That's how I used to feel, but now knowing you can still get it and spread it fully vaxxed, if someone doesn't want to get vaxxed, I really don't care anymore. I would think if you aren't vaxxed you would probably be a bit more careful. I know a few weeks after I got fully vaxxed I wasn't so careful, and got lucky I didn't get it.
  6. He actually took a few steps as he got to the dugout. Messed up groins suck. Falling asleep is difficult. He's traveling with the team so it appears it isn't as. Catastrophic as possible.
  7. Graveman and Cease do not get paid for the games in Toronto.
  8. Might as well have one extra for a 3 game series. Plus they need to add another for TA.
  9. The problem is the people who refer to themselves as patriots think what Kapler is doing should be a jailable offense. I don't even know why anyone would even think it's a big deal. Go to a game and check the tens during the anthem. There are more than a coupleof personnel not on the field or at the top step of the dugout. If Kapler didn't mention he was doing this, the people complaining would never have noticed.
  10. There is something flawed there. He is no plus defender, but he's not that bad.
  11. One thing I haven't heard mentioned but obvious if you are at the game is Abreu is playing with some sort of leg injury. He is gimpy about half the time running, and is bent over in pain after stopping at bases.
  12. When is the last time they drafted and developed a major league every day player outside of the first round?
  13. I was at the game, and the thing they gave me hope it wasn’t worst case scenario, was when they were helping off, he started semi walking ,albeit with help, when he got close to the dugout.
  14. Bases loaded , one out, down 1-0,McGuire and Harrison up, 2 of the worst hitters in baseball this year and didn’t pinch hit. Amazing. Nice that they won. I really thought this would be one of the most fun Sox teams to watch . It turns out they are as boring as when they were trying to lose.
  15. You know things are going bad when You start wondering about Leury.
  16. About as well as a random Soxtalk poster would do.
  17. Sox have an off day tomorrow, Cubs have a DH. I hope LaRussa manages like it.
  18. We will find out after the game when the go on the restricted list.
  19. Sox have 2 non vaxxed players that will miss the Toronto series.
  20. Josh Harrison played for the Tigers in 2019. They lost 114 games. His offensive stats are almost identical this year in close to the same amount of play. He was released be one of the worst teams ever. The Sox move him up to the 2 hole.
  21. 61-57 plus 1-3 in the playoffs since the All Star break last year. It’s a mediocre team as is, but they think they are a WS contender. Sign bad players. Make a bad managerial hire. Fall in love with your worst players. It’s all happened, and it’s a mess. Like was stated last night, they almost assuredly will eventually blame this on the hitting coach, fire him, and think problem solved. But it won’t be solved until they are done with this mediocre season, with the media taking shots at LaRussa, where he tells JR he’s tired and wants to go home. That will give them a chance at fixing one problem. Another should be RH/KW. I do believe KW is ready to retire. His wife retired. JR appears to think KW is the greatest talent evaluator ever, so he might beg him to stay, but hopefully he doesn’t, and they pull a Bulls and get rid of Hahn who seems like a nice guy, obviously can speak with anyone and is very bright, but not very good at building baseball teams. Then hire someone who has a clue. Someone who realizes Gavin Sheets isn’t going into the HOF. Someone who realizes what this team really needs. There’s still enough talent to be pretty awesome with a couple of shrewd moves, but the people who are capable of making them aren’t currently employed at 35th and Shields. That has been proven time and time again. Although I am sure he feels for his former players, somewhere Ricky Renteria has to be laughing his ass off.
  22. I guess Tony doesn’t think Gabe is legit.
  23. Yeah nothing like being thrown out by 20 feet. Great call by Super Joe.
  24. 2016 Jimmy Rollins got released around this point of the season. He was done. He had a .624 OPS. That is higher than Sheets, Eloy, Harrison, Moncada, Engel.
  25. And AJP will soon will be PNG with the White Sox organization.
