Hookers for Jenks and Marte and Garland. They have nice hookers in Minneapolis.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) Double play depth. The Sox usually play the infield in for those situations.

QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) And wait, if we lose, everyone is going to blame Ozzie for not pinch hitting for Pods. Ozzie should only get credit for wins, not for losses.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) They brought in Romero to face Pods. They couldn't have changed pitchers again. Yeah, I forgot Romero just came in. Pods batting there and not taking until the count was full was foolish.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) Romero had to pitch to that first batter. That's right.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) Question...why did Pods bat there? He has been brutal with bases loaded all season. That was a huge play in this game. The only thing I could think of is if you put Anderson in Nathan comes in to pitch. That is probably a K. At least Pods avoided the DP.Borchard as a switch hitter may have been an option.

QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) Man, Pods is really bad right now! But he's hitting .360 in September.

QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:46 PM) I'm feeling a triple for Pods. Pods will be looking for his first hit with the bases loaded in a White Sox uniform.

The Sox need to get 2 runs here. Don't blow it.

Hey fathom, with Marte now in, if he blows it, we'll have a lot of people on the Ozzie is a moron bandwagon.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) Its not his fault the people behind him can't drive him in. He has 3 caught stealings this month. It's not like he's getting thrown out every game. Mercy, I can't believe what I'm reading on here. Maybe its not, but its hard to drive a guy in when he's sitting in the dugout after being thrown out by 15 feet. The fact that Pods doesn't score much just shows that this balanced offense BS KW and Ozzie and Hawk have been selling is just that, BS.

Does Rowand have somewhere to go tonight?

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) His job isn't to generate runs. Its to get on base so the other 4 or 5 guys behind him can generate runs. His numbers are .362 .423 .468 in September. That's incredible. What the hell are you talking about. If everyone on this team contributed like that right now we'd be awesome. First off how many of those times he got on did he quickly get himself thrown out? He could be batting .700, if he isn't scoring runs, he's worthless, because he's not going to drive in any and he's going to cost you in the field. They need to have more guys who can generate runs in the line-up.

Garland was great. Its nice a pitcher stepped up. Now get him out, his next start is against Cleveland. I don't think you want him facing them after throwing 135 pitches.

I feel a lot better with Stewart retired.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) He's hitting .360 in September. There is no way you take him out. Its the lightest .360 you ever want to see. He's not going to the bench, but this guy generates very few runs.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) On the other hand....what would it mean for this team to win this damn game? To pull one out at the end of the season against the Twins? That alone could start an 8 game winning streak. Yes, I've been drinking. You've been drinking a lot.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:17 PM) Iguchi swings through a hanging slider. This feels like every single Twins debacle ever! The bright side of the Sox folding against Minnesota again is at least Hawk will have to quit ripping Manuel on broadcasts when his boy Ozzie has a team that does the same if not greater fade.

I fear Shannon Stewart this inning.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:15 PM) No they said he wouldn't be 100% for the rest of the season. Close, but not there. Whether he's healthy or not he is still a liability right now. They should put someone in LF who can catch the ball, and drive in a run once in a while.

Think Hawk will ever mention the pressure that is obviously being felt by this team right now. This is choke city by our hitters.

Tomorrow it would be a miracle if the Sox won with El Duque going up against Santana. The offense better kick in or a sweep looks pretty likely.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) Wasn't he pretty awful before that? He stole 3 or 4 bases the first game after the All Star Break, and since then he pretty much been Chet Lemon.
