  1. In Dusty we trusty. It usually doesn't work out well at the end.
  2. Every AL Central team has lit Mccullers up this season except the Sox. It's time.
  3. I hope he doesn't scare McCullers because when he is right, he is one of the best power hitters in baseball. Hang something to him and get him going.
  4. Should be a decent breeze blowing from right to left today. Hit one about 360 to left center, and watch it land in the bullpen.
  5. I am wearing the exact same clothes I wore to the game Sunday, except for underwear.
  6. My point was if he was anywhere near 100%, why would you wait to use him in a game that might not have been played? Dumb coaching or not, there is no reason to think he is going to be throwing 95-100.
  7. Of course, and if it was half sincere on WSD's part, he wouldn't have had someone recording it. Getting paid to be an asshole and an idiot.
  8. My dad liked both, so I probably would have liked both. When he was a kid he was an Andy Frain usher, and worked all the events. One day he was working a DH at Wrigley behind home plate, during the second game the GM of the Cubs at the time saw him leaning against a railing. He called in Andy Frain and told him to fire my dad. My dad went to see Andy, Andy told him what happened, said he wasn't going to fire him, just go hide in the upper deck the rest of the day. From that day forward, he was strictly a Sox fan.
  9. Yes, but can't get to game 4 without game 3. If Rodon has his velocity, he probably gives you the best chance to win over every Sox starter. If he is almost full strength, what sense does it make to save him for a game that might have not been played?
  10. This is BS. He is trying so hard to be an insider. If Rodon was throwing 95-100, wouldn't he have started game 3, the elimination game?
  11. I think WSD should confront Jim Thome. How can he be a White Sox and Indians fan? The guy should live in a double wide. I wonder what it is like getting paid to be an idiot.
  12. I have been to games with wild crowds, but I knew last night was extra special when the crowd started chanting “defense, defense” like a football game.
  13. Dusty doesn't know him and he shut his boys down last night. Tepera is a genius.
  14. Baseball isn't football. You can be too fired up. This could really work in the Sox favor.
  15. it will definitely be rowdy, but a 107 start time is a slap in the face to White Sox fans attending, and all fans who want to watch. They were going to have multiple games being played at the same time today. I don't know why they couldn't do the same tomorrow. The only thing I can think of is traveling after the game.
  16. Let the Astros think about something other than their real task at hand, and let the broadcasters remind everyone how they cheated their way to a title.
  17. If Rodon is throwing 90, the Sox are in trouble. And Lynn in the wings? If Lynn is good enough to be next up or start game 5 in Houston (I hope it's Gio, who actually had great stuff his last start), then he should start game 4 at home. If Rodon has his stuff, then starting him makes a lot of sense. But the Astros aren't the Reds a day after being eliminated.
  18. The guy he had start game 1 is fully rested. The guy he should have had start game 1 is fully rested for game 5. The only way this makes sense is if Rodon is suddenly back to his version of earlier in the season. If he is not, they are starting a guy who almost didn't make the roster over the guy they thought gave them the best shot at winning, and Lynn would be pitching at home.
  19. I agree. At least make it late afternoon. They really stuck it to Sox and Astros fans this postseason.
  20. I'm sure he is, but using him last night probably gives you a little less of him today.
  21. To me, the Astros take advantage of almost every walk you give them. Don't walk guys and don't fall behind. Rodon can get away with that when he is 100%, but he is going to get killed if he isn't, and everyone else so far this series has burned when they walk guys.
  22. I was on the first Red Line home after the last pitch and got home around 12:15, buzzed and happy. Woke up at 5 am to work from home for a while before today's game.
  23. AJP was admiring Grandal's work. Probably wishes he thought of that one.
  24. Criminals usually go back to a life of crime when they get released from prison. Most cheaters continue to cheat. I have no idea if the Astros are still doing what they did but in a less obvious way, but you have to think its more than possible.
