The fact that Michael Flynn was at the WH speaking with Trump yesterday and Trump floated using the military with his advisors should scare the shit out of everybody. Allegedly, he was told the military wouldn’t carry out his orders. It is time to use the 25th amendment. It is not worth seeing this last month through. He almost hired Sidney Powell yesterday as a special counsel to look at voter fraud. Not all speech is free. He has crossed the line. He should already be in jail for his admitted crimes. This is another.

I have no problem with them getting it, but I do have a problem if one person who actually took this seriously is delayed from getting it because of these phonies.

The anti maskers, all those downplaying it should go to the back of the line. Raging alcoholics don't go to the front of the line for a liver transplant. Frontline Healthcare and nursing homes,, then essential workers like those who work in grocery stores and processing plants, then peoplle with conditions, then older without, then the rest of us. Thats how I think this should go.

When he said this virus will be behind us by Memorial Day, to his credit, he didn’t mention which year. I don’t know why his wife should hop the line, but they are going to do that with Biden’s and Harris spouses as well.. Seems that is 3 doses that should be used on frontline healthcare workers first.

Restaurants and bars need to be shut down until it is safe, and that industry should have done for it what Republicans are willing to do for farmers, with that ongoing socialist program, and airlines. Airlines got a huge bailout, and they employ 50,000 people and their senior execs are still getting paid huge salaries. Restaurants employ over 1,000,000 and they get a PPP loan which covered 2.5 months of payroll which is 60% of a restaurant’s expenses in a pandemic now entering its 10th month. It makes zero sense. In Canada they at least help with the rent. During the pandemic the restaurant pays 25% of its rent, the government picks up 50%, and the landlord eats 25%. That seems pretty reasonable.

It will probably pick up. Rick was busy interviewing with the Phillies.

The other thing with Crochet is we have no idea how he would hold up with a regular bullpen workload. We saw him pitch 6 innings after pitching 3 in college and spending time at an alternate site. He looked about as good as you can look for 6 innings.

Jason Castro is a guy the Sox really wanted a few years ago. Could it be another case of KW always gets his man?
-
He only has 132 innings pitched in college. I really doubt they could pull a Sale with him. Sale unbelievably went from a reliever to 192 IP the next season. It really was incredible. I had MLBN on a couple of years ago and they had a Texas Ranger talking about Sale when he was a White Sox and had a start against them. He said they knew Sale’s elbow was bothering him so much he wouldn’t throw a slider, and they still didn’t touch him. The guy even pitched hurt. He is a one in a lifetime. With Crochet, the Sox either need to shit or get off the pot with him. If he is going to be a starter, I think you are correct, he needs to be in the minor leagues getting stretched out. If he is the next Chapman, hopefully he holds up. His playoff injury may have spooked them. If you recall, Sale had an injury concern and KW announced he would be going back to the bullpen. Sale called and yelled and changed KWs mind. I don’t know if Crochet has that in him.

Jose De Leon is Destroying Puerto Rican Winter League
Dick Allen replied to bmags's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Yes Hawk did, it was after he claimed Bonilla in the rule 5, from the Pirates. And DeLeon turned into the One Dog, so it wasn’t that terrible especially considering if he was still around maybe Frank Thomas or Robin Ventura aren’t drafted. -
Even her haters have to admit Hillary was right about one thing, he is Putin’s puppet.

Owners would like to delay season until vaccine
Dick Allen replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I would say those not willing to change are cowards. It’s a freaking pandemic. Over 300k lost. More people are dying from Covid everyday than anything else. -
Laura Ingahram who on Fox News tells Greg wearing masks is worthless and may even be harmful, wears a mask.

Owners would like to delay season until vaccine
Dick Allen replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Maybe, maybe not. If they lost their entire season last year to fan less games, I would bet this upcoming season would be a little different. Also, the MLB players keeping protocol for 6 months? Yeah right. They were complaining they would have to go 2 months without seeing their families. -

Dick Allen replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
No they are not. They are hoping to play 72 games. And that was missing 7 games from last season. MLB missed their entire season. If they played 140 games, that would be what the NBA is doing, and they didn't get 90% of the season in before the pandemic. -
Looks like the next shipment is only half of what was previously promised and the drug company is saying they aren't having issues. So I think logistics is a problem and will be a problem for a while.

Yes, but they didn't play an entire season of no fans. And they aren't playing 82 games. -

Dick Allen replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If the Sox can’t afford 4 years of Hendriks, how are they going to be able to afford that? -

So Darvish hasn’t been volatile? -

So we don’t want to give Hendrix 4 years because he might not be good 4 years from now when he is 35. But trading minor league and perhaps major league talent for Yu Darvish who is owed $59 million for his age 35,36, and 37 seasons seems like a good option. OK. -
A mayor in Kansas resigned because of the treats she was getting for asking people in her town to wear a mask. Where is Greg? Watching riot video?

This board has gone from signing Machado AND Harper, to trying to save Uncle Jer $13 million 4 years from now. -

Then maybe the Sox shouldn't leak that Hendriks is their top target then get scared because he wants 4 years. -

This is part of the problem. Instead of signing guys like Jay and trading for guys like Alonzo, they should have banked that money and saved it for something like this. They have done it for years. They blew money on Soria, who was pretty good for them, but why pay him what they had to pay him when they aren't going to win? They flipped him for garbage. They should have saved the money and maybe developed a closer from what they had on hand. There was better chance they would have developed one in house on the cheap as there was for them to flip Soria for Glyebbar Torres. -

Because, unless you are going to tier 3, you probably will have to give an established closer 3 years in free agency. According to this article the Sox local TV revenue is pretty, pretty, pretty good. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/lets-update-the-estimated-local-tv-revenue-for-mlb-teams/
