I agree. He isn't going to get away with it against a good team. But if he finds a way to harness it, a good team isn't going to get away with facing him. Unless they are acquiring a sure thing that is going to be around for a while, or a top of the line prospect wtih control, there is no reason to part with Cease right now. And I wouldn't trade Kopech either. And Dunning would have a huge price tag. Replacements cost a ton of money. If these guys develop like hoped, the window remains open a lot longer. And someone will get hurt. That can't be avoided. You are going to need all these guys.

I think trading Kopech could turn into the Tigers trading Smoltz for Doyle Alexander. Alexander was pretty old but he was also good with the Tigers. He was 9-0 in 11 starts in 1987 when they traded for him. They won the divison but were eliminated quickly in the playoffs. Smoltz would have been better.

She was great at her job. She is supposed to be the sweetest person you would ever meet.

that was bucketofsuck. He may have got one right 7 or 8 years ago, and rode his "insider" status for quite a while, all the time, never providing anything else of substance. He never had anything else, but threw some crap out there when someone would ask for info, never accurate. Gave us RH, KW private conversations. it was so BS is was laughable. But get one, and many think you have RH's office bugged.

If the White Sox had Clevinger and traded him to the Tribe while tied with them for first place with 26 games left, the mods here would not be able to do their real jobs for a while. They would be too busy suspending and banning accounts.

It’s starting to look bad for not Steve. If the poster here was correct about the Sox plane departure tonight, a couple of guys shouldn’t have been on the flight as that was after not Steve said the Sox made the trade. You would think something would have leaked by now.

My thought didn’t necessarily said it would be for him, but this would clearly be a salary dump for the DBacks. There seems to be a reason Heuer was held out today. Maybe he is part of another deal. Yes. Yas Grandal is the regular catcher. McCann is the back up. And the team gav Grandal the biggest contract in team history not too long ago, so that isn’t going to change any time soon.

Why would McCann sign up to be a back up catcher?

If the White Sox use prospects to get another starter, with Rodon returning at some point and hopefully Bummer, they would be there, and Lopez would most likely be a bullpen piece as well.

Renteria basically said Dunning is in the rotation. So with Gio, Keuchel, Cease, if they trade for another guy, Lopez and Rodon are bullpen bound.

I understand that, but Heuer has thrown 10 innings. To think a guy like Marte wouldn’t have a bigger effect wouldn’t be accurate.

If not Steve is right, he said Sox fans will be very happy. That would indicate their top prospects at least for this trade, are not involved.

Maybe the Sox get Robbie Ray as well, but he sucks. If not Steve is right, the trade is done. I think a Lynn trade won’t happen until tomorrow.

Heuer seems like a guy who could go. Engel wouldn’t need to play against lefties so he might go. Maybe they get AZ to take Mazara.

He has stuck his neck out with this one. He said it was done. If there is a trade involving what he said, there is no question he is legit. If not, he is one of the phonies. His moment of truth is here. i just hope if it not accurate, no one buys the ownership overruled the done deal excuse that will follow.

White Flag trades don’t get that done.
