2019-2020 Official NBA Thread
Obviously he hasn't been as successful in Orlando, but Matt Lloyd is the reason they drafted Taj and Butler, and I think Noah as well. Those picks and no brainer DRose, were the feathers in scouting God Gar's hat. Once Lloyd left, Teague was the next selection.

A pastor at a church in VA that held a service defying the local ban a couple of weeks ago just died of the virus. Wonder what will happen in WI after the election last week, and all that closeness. Trumps candidate lost anyway.

I actually have a DVD collection of every postseason game. I bought it in 2006 for next to nothing. I have never opened it.

Expanded Roster Speculation
I think you are right, but I still don't think they play. Like fathom writes, what happens when one guy tests positive? The NBA shut down. And I think the weather is a concern, as is the rest of the roster. How do you call guys up if someone gets hurt? How do minor leaguers get enough work? Play on backfields in AZ during the afternoon in the middle of summer?

Expanded Roster Speculation
Personally, I don't think the major leaguers wind up playing either. I don't know how you play in AZ every day when it's 112, or in FL were it rains almost daily in the summer, and is a hot, humid, mess. But I hope they do.

Hopefully, it's just paid retirement. They did a lot more change than I ever figured they would, so I am quite pleased even if I am not too familiar with the new regime.

This is a great day for Bulls fans. Hopefully they hired the right guy. At least we know they fired the right guy. His opinion about Gar seems pretty, pretty, pretty spot on, so good start.

Expanded Roster Speculation
It appears for all intents and purposes, there will be no minor league season, so injuries and roster shuffling should be interesting if they do play.

COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
Hopefully they make some difference, but it still stuns me how many people won’t even put on a mask or some covering. I have 4 grocery stores near me, so if one is too crowded, I walk out. The Jewel by me now has a line to get in. But even while limiting the amount of people allowed in the store, I can’t believe they let people in without a mask. The Plum Market by me actually has free gloves when you walk in. It again amazes me how many people pass. I would say with the nice weather, that less than 25% of the people I saw out had masks. I also saw several groups of people. I still don’t think enough people are taking this very seriously. Of course my wife has asthma, an underlying condition that could kill her if she got this virus so I am probably a bit more anal about everything than usual. But this isn’t just going to go away. Look at the other countries.

COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
All I know is we were assured by this administration that the Coronavirus was contained. Shut down. Cases were going down to zero. A spokesman, now press secretary said this President wouldn’t allow the virus in this country. Then they were so unprepared now anything under 100,000 deaths will be celebrated. Could you imagine the tweets we would get from the current POTUS if he were still just a citizen and this same thing was happening with POTUS from either party in charge?

The problem is the administration wants it both ways. Deaths per capita makes sense. So does tests per capita.

The Pet Thread
I just saw this. How awful. My sincere condolences. I was at the park a few years ago with my dog and he and a mastiff started sniffing each other. My guy is a cavalier King Charles. Next thing I know, the mastiff has my dogs head in his mouth. I dove and was trying to pry his mouth open. Finally he let go. His owner said he was only playing. I wanted to punch him and have his dog put down. But I will never go to a park with my dog with other dogs present again. The weird thing is the mastiff was black. Now my dog barks at every black dog he sees. It could be a tiny little thing. I tell him he’s prejudice. But I am sure he was traumatized.

This is why the DPA must be involked and companies need to be producing tests. I don't know why Trump is so scared. He will get the country open sooner, and these companies get paid.So he loses a few votes.

They are bragging about 2 million tests when a couple of weeks ago they told us they would have 27 million tests by now.

As an Iowa alum, i am admittedly a bit prejudice, but I never understood the Bulls' fascination with Iowa State. First Floyd, then Fizer, then Gar, then Hoiberg. That's a big 0fer.

The scary thing about it is POTUS is still listening to them and seems to be inclined to blowing off the science when it comes to "opening up the country">

Well, if you are getting it from what is called fake news, CNN, ABC,NBC, CBS....you aren't getting the most accurate. For that, there is Fox News Or maybe you just want it straight from the WH. Here's his new press secretary

The other thing was the screening was a joke. First, you had to look like death warmed over to be recognized, and even then, you have just been in a packed airplane for 8 or 9 hours. The damage was done.

ESPN: MLB looking at May start, all games in AZ, several changes
Hopefully it continues. But am worried about a couple of things, once the "curve" seems to be headed downward, people thinking it's over and sliding back to closer to norms, and the warming weather will make people want to go out more. I went to the grocery store yesterday afternoon, and left immediately. Way too crowded. I am pretty scared of this thing as my wife has asthma, and she cannot get this under any circumstance.

His voter fraud in Cali thing was full of holes. The study found many names on the voting rolls of dead people, not of a million of those actually voting. It also assumes every supposedly fraudulent vote is for a democrat which seems even more preposterous.
