I just heard 50% of the patients that have to go to the ICU survive in the UK. The other thing is if you are on a ventilator for very long, it messes you up long term even if you do recover.

Just reading some things, nothing that I would consider to be 100% credible, but Giuliani is touting it whenever he is on TV. In Russia, yes Russia, they call it a cure, and even though they don’t have ventilators, the Trump administration has 29 million doses of this stuff. Wouldn’t surprise me if some hands were in the cookie jar.

Ther is something very fishy going on with that particular drug. And I think it involves a former mayor of NYC.

Someone should ask POTUS if he is a wartime President or a federal back up. You can’t be both.

Next time Trump brags about shutting down travel from China, which will be the next press conference since he never fails to mention it, just remember 45 countries shut it down before him including Italy, and at least 430,000 passengers arrived from China since the outbreak began including over 40:000 after he shut it down.

I have a 401k through work, and when I started working my dad funded an IRA for me. I keep an eye on the 401k, but haven’t really looked at the IRA much. I just got my quarterly statement today ,decided to take a peak,and OUCH. It will come back by the time I need it, so I am not worried, but if I was a year or two from retirement, my inaction would have probably meant at least another year of working if not more.

It is looking more and more like they won’t be playing this year. Looks like August at the earliest, and they can’t play a legit season if they start any later than that or they are really messing with future seasons.

It’s an episode of the Apprentice but for real. FEMA says it will have 3200 of the 100;000 ventilators it has on order ready for when this is expected to peak. it seems the administration would rather spend its energy trying to deflect blame than actually at least admitting to themselves they were wrong and trying to save lives. If a couple hundred thousand New Yorkers die, blame Cuomo.

By definition, anyone not agreeing with Trump and/or kissing his ass, is acting shitting according to him. So holding him accountable, is acting shitty. Asking for more supplies and not being thankful Trump had someone send you way less than you need is shitty. Trump says its a war, he's a wartime President. Than act like it. If a foreign country attacked NY, would Trumps say Coumo needs to deal with it, he's the back up? It's absurd. States bidding against states for equipment? This isn't an Aprrentice competition. This is just insane.

Who you voted for shouldn't determine if you live or die. The Electoral College shouldn't determine who gets all the supplies they need, who gets more than they ask for, and who gets nowhere near what they need. They are putting health care workers jobs on the line by playing politics and kissing someone's ass. This isn' a reality show competition, it's acually real.

it's amazing they are willing to print as much money as they will need, but cut a pandemic team because it's considered wasteful spending.

I saw a political cartoon that said on this week's episode of The Apprentice/Governors, you will be playing for ventilators.

The IRS has told Congress that some people won't be getting their stimulus checks for 5 months.

And the other thing is people are going to be dying from other crap. But because the ERs and intensive cares are so taxed, they will not get the immediate care they needed to survive. So while heart attack, stroke, aneurysm, gunshot, stabbing... might be the cause of death, COVID 19 may be the real cause.,

I don't even get what is going on now. Why is the market up today? 6.6 million jobless claims. That's 10 million in 2 weeks. Using that number there is currently a 9.5% unemployment rate. At the peak of the Great Recession, it was 10%. People are losing their insurance, and it isn't gettng better next week. When they get sick, what is going to happen? There are many who don't qualify for medicaid, and don't have the means for COBRA. Why aren't they opening up Obamacare other than political reasons? Apparently people are betting on a fast bounce back, but we have no idea when this ends. Probably at least a month or two after the administrations worst case scenerio, and if you look at China, while their economy is bouncing back, it's bouncing back very slowly. No one has a stimulus check, and that $1200 or so will be gone almost immediately. The small business loans don't even start until tomorrow. How long is it going to take for them to process all of the unemployment claims? And more and more people keep getting sick and dying.

If it was empty, they had 3 years to replenish. I don;t know why they are never asked about it.

I met Farmio in the elevator at the park. He initiated a conversion and seemed a very nice man who was very interested in what you had to say. RIP. For guy who played for, scouted for and broadcast for the White Sox, it's interesting to note, except when he was in uniform, he never wore socks.

My CVS yesterday had a sign up that they were out of everything you would be looking for during this pandemic. Kind of surprised me because most places have had most things except masks for the last week or so.

And while JB has been pretty good, he basically was forced to close the bars after they were packed the Saturday before Saint Patrick's Day.

It was obvious enough that the president called it the next democratic hoax. Would have been nice if there was a pandemic team. And blaming the system as obsolete, this administration was in powef for 3 years prior, and didn't do anything until the horse was out of the barn. Why do they try to blame previous administrations?

Supposedly the Surgeon General just told him to issue a Stay at Home order.

What I don't get is Obama left Trump no Covid 19 tests. Zero.
