  1. Isn’t Joe Cool Man hanging out with his source today? I wouldn’t get your panties in a bunch unless he gets similar info.
  2. Well if they don’t get him Brooks Boyer still has a marketing angle. We didn’t get you Manny but at least we got you his friends. i don’t know how much NotHahns source is involved, but I would imagine if they knew it was bleak so would someone else and it would get out.
  3. Or it could be a lot of the Phillies front office has a Baltimore background and they needed a coach , are very familiar with him,so they brought him in.
  4. Not in that stratosphere.
  5. I hope to God Manny doesn’t sign with the White Sox based on the nightlife.we need him to be effective.
  6. It’s a ton of money, but money he will never spend. I don’t blame players for taking the highest offer, but at some point, it all becomes the same in really. I get parents want to leave their kids on easy street. But you also want them to be useful members of society. Manny should hav plenty to leave his kids. Right now it is about records and ego which is fine.
  7. From what Heyman was saying yesterday, he thinks he ultimately signs for 8/$240-250 million, which would not be a record in any way. I think a team could sign him tonight for as little as 7 years if they offered him a record AAV. Face it, that is what this is all about. This is money Manny’s heirs will be squabbling over 50 or 60 years from now. An extra $30 million isn’t going to change his lifestyle, but it would cater to his ego.
  8. Because there is always a chance. No one thought Pujols was going to the Angels until it was announced. No one thought Cano would go to Seattle. No one had Greinke in AZ. It just takes one. And if you are an owner and have to overpay, wouldn’t you rather overpay a guy like this vs. someone in the next tier or 2 below? They already have $13 million in, they need to get to the finish line.
  9. The only ream I could think of is Miami. They have no payroll and he can live at home. If there is one place he may pay for himself, it’s there IMO. But usually teams are a mystery because they are figments of ones imagination.
  10. Supposedly he was born with some defect in his knees. Once they were cleaned up, it isn’t supposed to be a lingering problem.
  11. Fake News. I actually liked Jake Peavy.
  12. But the first 4 years you want to blame KW. Provide evidence. I do think one of those first 4 they really were half in half out if that. Not really expecting to contend, but when he was all in, the team was still terrible. Eventually, they will get to the point they were at those seasons roster strength wise. Why should anyone bank on the result being spectacular?
  13. I am thinking he will. Every team has passed on him except the Cubs and White Sox, at least once since he last threw a pitch. Some twice.
  14. Next time you see Rick, ask him about his first signing, Jeff Keppinger. Then ask him what KW thought of it, and then tell me Rick had no power.
  15. We have people thinking in their current situation Harper and Machado are possible.
  16. If the White Sox were in the same financial situation, we would be doing the same thing.
  17. Ok.Rick Hahn is a great GM. He has nothing to do with the White Sox being 134 games under .500 his 6 seasons, even if the best he could muster was 78 wins in the at least 3 seasons he was all in. Rick Hahn and Kenny Williams should not be doing this rebuild, whether you like it or not. I would venture to guess the vast majority here would agree with that. So stalk them.
  18. Clark really backed himself in. He said final offers were in, and it was all decided. That’s about as far out on a limb as one could go. I am sure in Machado ends up with the Yankees in a week or two, he will return saying he was correct. But he is still wrong.
  19. So did KW back in the day.
  20. My thing was it appeared it was this guy’s livelihood. When it becomes your job and not some mess with people on the Internet, it isn’t crazy to assume he was using good information. Even WSD has scruples.
  21. Since he said something different yesterday, I take it he has no source to be trusted.
  22. You got me, great job. I already said about 1000 times I fell for so,e BS. But have fun stalking.
  23. Check Stubhub for weeknight games. If you are willing to wait until the last minute, you will get something in the 100 level for less than $20. They do put on quite an experience, but I would imagine this is getting a little old for several people paying huge money. They better get decent by next year or IMO their ticket base is going to crater.
  24. I saw him yesterday, he said Phillies. His partner Chris said White Sox.
  25. He deactivated so he wouldn't get any crap for not paying the charity.
