I get parents want to leave their kids on easy street. But you also want them to be useful members of society. Manny should hav plenty to leave his kids. From what Heyman was saying yesterday, he thinks he ultimately signs for 8/$240-250 million, which would not be a record in any way. I think a team could sign him tonight for as little as 7 years if they offered him a record AAV. Face it, that is what this is all about. This is money Manny’s heirs will be squabbling over 50 or 60 years from now. An extra $30 million isn’t going to change his lifestyle, but it would cater to his ego.
