Why would they? Under oath , Devil’s Triangle is a drinking game. Boof is farting. All lies. Blatant lies.

I wonder how she passed a polygraph.
-
Normally, I would agree with you, but I saw an interview with Collins, and there was something about it where she seemed bought off. She did say he wouldn't overturn Roe v Wade, which I find hysterically naive. But perhaps now she has no choice. That's the hope.
-
Again, I was watching something after I came home from the Sox game last night, and the reporter said he talked to many GOP people, and according to them, having Kavanaugh seated on the SCOTUS, would be well worth losing both the House and the Senate.
-
It isn't, but it doesn't mean the senators that want to confirm him really care.
-
Did she tell him right away? Why didn't she or her loving parents immediately call the police? Must not have been a bad rape.

FFFFFourth of July.

He even has the Trump sniff going. Granted I am not exactly impartial today, but he is definitely coming across as a person who would have done what he is accused of doing.
-
He was coached. It was all over that he was going to come out angry. Trump actually gave him some pointers. It works for him.
-
There are a lot of Republicans who believe losing both the House and the Senate is a reasonable price to pay for what Kavanaugh on the SC gives them. What would be interesting is if he was confirmed and Dems took them both, would they try to impeach him? I do believe if the exact opposite happened and a liberal candidate had been accused and the GOP took over, impeachment would be on the table. Hopefully, it won't come to that, and Kavanaugh and his GOP buddies do what is right for the country, and have him withdraw.
-
The Republican strategy here was IMO stupid. Apparently they thought Dr. Ford would come in, and they would easily rip her story to shreds. That's the only thing that makes sense. Because right now, to vote to confirm is saying she is not credible. You can't say she is credible and vote to confirm, well, you can, but it makes no sense. They already said there was no need for an FBI investigation. If they called for one now, after denying earlier, they would be admitting their perfect candidate may not be believable. I think they either pull the nomination or promise Murkowski and Collins the world for their votes.
-
Reading Lindsay Graham's comments, it appears he is starting to think this nomination might not go through. Basically now threatening Dems. Gorsuch didn't have any sexual assault claims against him. Why can't this guy see Kavanaugh for what he is, and oh yeah, playing fair.....Merrick Garland. And speaking of Merrick Garland, Sarah Sanders had this to say on Fox and Friends the other day: The president wants this process to come to a vote because that’s what’s supposed to happen in every single one of these instances where someone is nominated, they go before, they have a hearing, and then the senators vote on it.”
-
So Cornyn is saying there is no corroboration. All they are hearing is what they supposedly already knew. Well, didn't you refuse to subpoena anyone else so you can claim what you claim. Scum. Orrin Hatch finds her attractive.
-
I would say just the opposite. You have never been in a situation where you have seen something that shouldn't be, and sat it out? And you never returned, especially at that age? I think it's pretty safe to say most teens let stuff like that go. It's very important to most to be socially accepted at that age. Whether it's not pissing the boys off, and getting left out, or no longer attending parties. It doesn't happen like that. There are cliques. The "popular" kids get away with a ton.
-
It's disgusting., which there should be no surprise. They know what this guy is. I give Dr. Ford so much credit. Not many people would do what she is doing. If her story is BS, she's easily the greatest actor of all time. Hopefully, there are at least a couple of GOP senators with some dignity.

Sox have "flexibility" to add "long term pieces"
Dick Allen replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It wasn't because of ARod's performance they didn't win. 7.8,10.0, and 9.2 were his WAR numbers. Pujols has been a shell of his Cardinal self. You just have to make sure what you offer isn't going to destroy spending on something like pitching. -

While it might seem obnoxious, it is sort of how the gigantic contracts have played out. Someone goes nuts. ARod, Cano, Pujols.....it's a small sample size because there aren't a lot players commanding this much money, but chances are, whoever signs these guys isn't going to be just$1 million more than the next best offer, unless it's a place they really want to be. The unknown is maybe Machado and/or Harper like Chicago and playing for the White Sox appeals to them more than we know. -
Trump gave Kavanaugh a refresher course about successful lying. I wonder if that was required coursework at Trump U.

2018-2019 Official NBA thread
Dick Allen replied to southsider2k5's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
He's a great player. He just isn't nearly as likeable as he once was, and that began near the end of his run with the Bulls. Obviously, some things have gone to his head. But if he was on my team, I wouldn't mind. -

NBA is going to offer the 4th quarter of any game on League Pass for $1.99. Eventually, that will expand to where you can watch any quarter or buy 10 minutes of real time. -
Sox have "flexibility" to add "long term pieces"
Dick Allen replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
People will eat up anything positive considered how long this team has been bad. I was thinking last night, after watching Biebs make the Sox look like 8 year olds, who is going to be the future multiple time All Star this winter after the Sox hold their "hitter's camp". At this point, most of us will take anything. You can see it when people actually wouldn't mind James Shields to return. James Shields. We are excited about several guys who have OBP of .280. It will really be a pleasure when we can be excited about real players. -
How does anyone with a daughter support this guy? Trump I can see, he is the only person I know about who has no problem with someone referring to his daughter as a piece of ass.
-
Yet another accuser. Susan Collins, if she takes what she is offered to confirm better remember this when Roe v Wade gets overturned and Bart O'Kavanaugh, choirboy, says the assurance he gave her that it wouldn't happen, never happened, look, a calendar. It says I never met with Susan Collins.

Maddon won't even look at what the victim wrote. It would be nice if somehow, some way, MLB did the victims right with these assholes. But this will all be forgotten years from now if Russell becomes the player they thought he would become. Apparently that is far more important than being even a minimally decent human being.
-
And what exactly are the chances of James Shields repeating this year's mediocre performance with another 200 innings next year? He'll be 37. I bet if he pitches, it will be a lot closer to the 117 he pitched in 2017. Time to move on and put that nightmare trade behind the organization. It isn't like he can be flipped for anything. This season proved that. Someone like him, fine. But not him.
