  1. He mentioned Hillary again. Sure seems nervous if you go by his quote, but he could just be losing his mind: "She didn't do it under oath, but I would do it under oath and you know she didn't do it under oath," he said. "Oh, I would do it under oath.
  2. Jay Zawaski ‏ Verified account @JayZawaski670 2h2 hours ago More It's taken longer than I would like, but I can confirm @MarkLazerus's report that Corey Crawford has indeed been dealing with vertigo. The injury is legit. There is no "conspiracy" or "hiding" of some other issue. All the other stuff should be erased from this site.
  3. Melania not going to Davos.Scheduling and logistical issues. I would imagine the logistical issue is being within 5 feet of her husband.
  4. 14 shot, 2 dead at a Kentucky high school. A 15 year old student is in custody. What is it going to take for the NRA to lose it's influence?
  5. Hub was mentioning a safety at 8. Says the guys available at the other positions of need either aren't top 10 guys or will be long gone. Of course, this is really early in the process. Hub also believes when it is all said and done, Mason Rudolph will be the first QB selected.
  6. Kaplan talked to 6 NBA scouts and they told him Trae Young right now is probably pick 7 in the draft.
  7. The White House has acknowledged that Trump's position on Dreamers depends on what he gets back in exchange.
  8. One good thing about it being so slow this winter is it is about to become insane.
  9. No surprise, another Trump nominee "forgot" to disclose something. When will these people be held accountable for attempting to decieve? You fudge a resume, forget to include information for some clerk job, you get fired. For a Trump administration job, oh, forgot. Only hire the best. Drain the swamp.... : Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is a shareholder in a private Montana company that manufactures and sells firearms and advanced weapons materials, a financial interest he did not disclose when nominated last year
  10. The White Sox aren't going to trade for Ryan Braun.
  11. QUOTE (KagakuOtoko @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 01:06 PM) That's what pisses me off most about this administration. They cannot do anything on merit, just lie after lie and misdirection after misdirection. I'm a scientist, I guarantee I could find a way through that wall. =) You're right. But Trump only hires the best. The fight against the opioid problem is under great hands. Could you imagine if Obama hired someone like this? http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Trump-s...et-12512663.php
  12. So Alshon Jeffery was correct last year when he just about guaranteed a Super Bowl appearance.
  13. Fox News reporting US Special Forces can't get over the prototypes for Trump's wall. Have they tried a ladder?
  14. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 12:02 PM) I've only said this 2 or 3 times. Stories get twisted, just a little annoyed that I'm being called out a couple of times on something that I've posted is coming from multiple sources. If you don't buy it, that's great but don't accuse people of changing stories that are given to them having openly stated that it's coming from different people. I've seen hundreds of posts on this website making claims on trades or rumors or whatever, not once have I ever thought of accusing someone of altering a story for fun. There are plenty of reputable people on this website and that's what make it greater than any other team's message board. When you posted this: I moreso meant the actual story being fake, of course I don't want it to be real, I have now heard from two separate people who have nothing to do with each other that Crawford is on something, was found and picked up at a hotel and the story is now opioids (although neither said exactly what). Like I said, it's looking like it's very serious either way. I can't see why somebody would make that up and reputable people have that story. Wife, girlfriend, baby-momma...it's all the same. A woman called it in, no need to pick the story apart. Just take it how it is. That totally contradicts what you wrote in your first 2 posts when you said you had a source say he was on crack, and then in another post, another said he was on meth. And opioids is now on this one, even though you write neither of your sources says exactly what. If you want to share this information I don't have a problem with it, even though I probably wouldn't if I had it. Too sensitive IMO. But the contradiction is why I question you. That's all. If that means I deserve to be called names, so be it. I stand by what I posted.
  15. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 11:22 AM) Sounds like the Dems have caved for vague promises from McConnell and the government will be reopened (for a few weeks) shortly I think I would give him his wall. It will never be built while he's in office anyway. Get everything else and take all the credit in the world. But we all know Art of the Deal will be taking all the credit.
  16. QUOTE (wrathofhahn @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 10:43 AM) Ellsbury projects to have a 0.3 WAR this season. He's already 34 how much longer do you think he can play a competent CF? Because almost all his value is in his positional adjustment. Ichiro had a job for years. Ellsbury would have no problem finding a roster spot somewhere.
  17. The White Sox currently have 11 OFs on their 40 man roster. I can't see them taking Ellsbury in payment for another guy, especially if the other guy is an OF as well.
  18. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Jan 21, 2018 -> 06:24 PM) Yeah, I changed it myself for self satisfaction of taking stabs at it until I'm correct, all for a message board of White Sox fans that I don't know. Funny you could look over my comments to take it for whatever it's worth but can pick it apart every which way. This post has been edited by the Soxtalk staff to remove objectionable material. 19. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 08:47 AM) Dick I never mentioned anything about the people of these countries, not sure where you got that from my post. Merely saying that if all the countries were ranked, some countries have to be at the bottom. And if North Korea isn’t a s***hole, then what is a s***hole? I’m only arguing the accuracy of the term s***hole. Wouldn't the worst countries to live in have the citizens most likely to want to flee to something better? If you are living in paradise, you don't want to leave. The whole immigration thing is people trying to better their lives. Trump has no problem with Haitians when they will work for minimum wage at his properties. I wonder what he has in store for them with the tremendous tax breaks that have been so successful, even though they haven't hit anyone's paycheck yet. Why isn't Mar A Lago considered dangerous with all the immigrants they have working there?
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 09:00 AM) Mick Mulvaney? That was him. If they have it online, everyone can watch it. He cracked up Wallace and himself with his BS.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 07:25 AM) It's not just people whose country of origin is Mexico... I know that, but I would guess a majority are from Mexico based on geography. Deportation is a huge expense. I really don't know why it is imperative these people leave the country for national security purposes, yet if funding for a wall is available, they really aren't that dangerous anymore. I was cooling down at the gym yesterday morning, and they had one of Trump's flunkies on with Chris Wallace. Wallace isn't typical Fox News, so when he asked this guy questions , he was dancing around them like you wouldn't believe. He showed him Trump saying government shutdowns are on the the POTUS, but of course, this was very different. He showed him footage of this guy himself approving shutting down the government in 2013 over Obamacare, yet that was different. There were things he didn't like it that one. Supposedly, only republicans don't have to vote for things they don't like.
  22. Ellsbury has put up a 2 WAR and a 1.7 WAR the last 2 seasons. Not bad considering he isn't playing every day now. So he isn't a horrible player. He's just not worth what he is paid, and his playing time is only going to get worse in NY. He isn't a trade and release guy. No way. But at least for me, it would take a lot to inherit that contract now at his age. He kind of reminds me of Tim Raines late in his career. He probably will be able to hit for a while, and will be able to run, and is probably a good guy in the clubhouse, but he isn't anywhere near what he was, and probably should only be playing part time.
  23. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 12:36 AM) Totally. You know what’s funny? Is that the huge crisis in Europe, and it’s an absolute nightmare of a crisis, is caused by a huge influx of millions of people from a few s***hole countries. Failed states are s***holes. Places with constant war, oppressive regimes, the inability to feed citizens, the inability to have any record keeping are pretty much the definition of s***hole. As an example: If for some reason I was told I had to live somewhere besides the United States but I could pick anywhere I’d be like “Cool, let me check the world map and pick a place. So many choices, well let me start with where I don’t want to go:” In no particular order those countries would probably be Venezuela, Syria, Iran, Chad, Somalia, Libya, Yemen & North Korea, due to the governments (or lack thereof) and the treatment of citizens. Not because I’m racist but because these are pretty much s***holes. Failed states are s***holes. I think Trump is right on this one, but the President is required to have an unrivaled level of tact, which he has zero. But he is right that failed states are s***holes because if they aren’t s***holes, then what is a s***hole? If the countries of the world were placed on a bell curve, some would be pushing 3 dev. Wouldn’t those be s***holes by default. Or maybe no countries are s***holes and that’s an argument I’d be willing to listen to, because otherwise SOME countries have to be the s***holes by statistics. Or maybe the bell doesn’t apply. And please don’t tell me about human beings or skin color, just talking about conditions of governments and treatment of citizens here. So everyone in the countries are crap and they should be stuck where they are? You seem to like Venezuelan baseball players, but if they are from a s***hole, what are they doing roaming our streets when they aren't being watched playing baseball? The commie Cubans, why is Jose Abreu here? Dangerous. No one is arguing these countries have issues, but that doesn't make all their people horrible people. You just gave reasons why a reasonable person would want to flee. Seems most people came to this country initially under the same premise.
  24. I wonder if Trump is going to get Mexico to also pay the expense of deporting all these people back to Mexico. He is probably making deals right now.
  25. How does Mitch McConnell blame Dems for the shutdown when he couldn't get all the republicans to vote for the extension? He didn't even vote for it.
