  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2016 -> 07:16 PM) Didn't Blue Jays lose on similar play Don't know . But there is some stupidity if it doesn't matter if there was no chance at the guy at first. But I guess they should call it as it is written. It sort of reminds me of the initial catcher blocking the plate rule which after challenges revering outs by 25 feet for interference, was modified.
  2. The only thing I can think of is Lawrie looking like he wasn't even thinking about throwing to first made it a safe call. Didn't NY used to release an explanation of all the review decisions?
  3. The Boy Wonder might get tossed.
  4. Does the runner going down the line at 1B position matter? It doesn't look like Lawrie was going to throw it regardless.
  5. If they call it, Buck is going to get tossed.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2016 -> 07:00 PM) You're better than this The Sox are winning this game and have won 2/3 of their games. Reading the game threads you would think they have maybe won 3 and/or a decent team should be close to undefeated.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2016 -> 06:55 PM) So easy to pitch to. He just can't pull a fastball with authority anymore. Struggled the second half of last year with this as well. Washed up. Trade him for whatever they can get.
  8. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 30, 2016 -> 06:55 PM) How do 6 players hit into 6 (maye 7, Navarro's slow roller) outs in one inning? Sox cant buy themselves a big hit sometimes. It's like Ryan Pace put this line up together.
  9. Saladino has to shave that thing off.
  10. Austin Jackson should never bat 9th.
  11. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 08:40 PM) Another day, another loss. What else is new. Yep. 16-8. Time to blow it up.
  12. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 12:24 PM) Lincecum whispers are mounting 2011 called and said great move. If the goal is to upgrade, he isn't the answer.
  13. The White Sox basically picked pre-injury Danks over Buehrle. The logic was pretty solid. The result wasn't.
  14. He looks like he lost about 10 lbs. from last year. I wonder if that has anything to do with the couple MPH he has lost on the fastball. Obviously when you are 16-7 and one guy is 0-4, there is a big problem with the spot. If he doesn't have control and falls behind, he gets hammered and that has happened each of his starts. From Robin's tone, it seems they are resigned to the fact they can't continue to trot him out there. Would he go to Charlotte? He certainly will make it through waivers. If he could get some control, he would be what he's been. Have some real nice games with the clunkers. But if he is always behind in the count, he's batting practice. It's too bad he has zero command. He's seems like the type of guy who could get by with cunning and guile.
  15. QUOTE (soxfan85 @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 08:07 PM) It gets pretty nauseating hearing Hawk complain about the umps when Danks just flat out sucks. He threw 3 strikes and was down 2-1 in the count. Danks doesn't have the stuff to overcome that. The ump was awful that AB.
  16. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 08:04 PM) No big hits It is not the 7th inning yet.
  17. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 07:41 PM) I'd take him in a heartbeat, NFL front offices are a different animal. I know, butt most of their roster is doing the same thing.
  18. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 07:37 PM) Not sure if you've seen it but the long talked about video finally leaked just before the draft, on his twitter account. http://deadspin.com/laremy-tunsil-s-accoun...-vid-1773721598 If doing bongs is a deal breaker, the NFL would have to go 7 on 7.
  19. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 06:38 PM) I've been a Danks defender but yeah he looks horrible. Way different than the 2nd half last year. He falls behind and he is in a lot of trouble. If he gets ahead, he will be fine, but he hasn't been able to do it this season.
  20. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 06:36 PM) His AB's have been much improved lately, he appears to have a much better feel for the strike zone right now, he was 100% guessing for most of April. Hopefully it sticks.
  21. QUOTE (aryzner @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 06:32 PM) Avi got the benefit of the call there. That was a strike. Same place Machado took for a ball. And thankfully Avi didn't swing because chance are he wouldn't have hit it hard if at all.
  22. Avi swung at the good pitch to hit and let the others go by. Progress.
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 06:25 PM) Great relay!!!! 2-1 inning over Looks like a less wimpy slide and he was in pretty easy.
  24. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 06:22 PM) Should have kept EJ up for the time being. And uh oh, Trumbo up. Huge regression due. He is a right handed Adam Dunn without the walks.
  25. Danks needs to have his control, so far, not there.
