  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 12, 2016 -> 09:50 AM) Betting that you know more than Bulls doctors do is a good bet. If there is one person that knows less than Bulls doctors, it's DRose.
  2. It's 7 games into the season. Sands will find some time. BTW after 7 games 2005 White Sox 5-2 27 runs scored 26 runs allowed. 2016 White Sox 5-2 28 runs scored 21 runs allowed. No need to hit the panic button yet.
  3. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 12, 2016 -> 09:04 AM) So what is the deal with David Murphy? Why have 30 teams decided against signing him? Has to be something beyond the stats. Because 30 teams don't know diddly. The guy doesn't want to play in the minors at all. He probably would need at least a week or two there to be prepared for the major leagues, and he is on the decline. Plus, maybe where he is willing to play is limited. Guys that have an eye on retiring sometimes play like they are retired when on a roster.
  4. Davidson with 9 k's in 22 plate appearances in his 4th try at AAA. Does anyone really want to take spring training stats too seriously anymore?
  5. QUOTE (beautox @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 03:26 PM) nice twin killing I see what you did here.
  6. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 03:23 PM) Quintana is not going to get the same zone. If he doesn't, then it's BS. But if he does, they are just going to have to deal with it. I like Q's chances if he doesn't have to throw many strikes.
  7. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 03:22 PM) See, this is the sort of BS that screams "robots". There is no adjusting the zone based on the temp. Come on. At times you have to go up there hacking. If it is the same for both teams, it's not BS.
  8. As long as Q gets it, fine. It's 38 degrees and windy. They want to get out of there as soon as possible.
  9. It is amazing how much more popular Saladino became once the Sox got Rollins. Carlos Sanchez became popular as well. For that matter, some were even up in arms Tyler Flowers was gone. Keep in mind, with those guys in the line up, even though they did improve the defense drastically from the opening day line up, it didn't result in more wins.
  10. Again it's Cowley so take it with a grain of salt, but he mentions again the undermining of Thibs saying there are several sources including players saying it's true, as the beginning of the Bulls falling apart. Says Gar/Pax blamed the injuries on Thibs minutes. http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/indiana...e-gets-started/
  11. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 08:06 AM) Yup, once upon a time HE was OUR announcer on THAT station. And then HE wasn't. Thank you, Jerry. Thank you, Eddie. Brilliant move. Harry died on February 18, 1998.
  12. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 07:50 AM) Because we've seen Carrol for three years and he is an AAAA pitcher Who was destroyed in his first AAA outing. Turner is some Cooper project who has limited stuff. I hope Eaton is taking like a 2 day leave. Why? You have stated many times Eaton isn't as good as his numbers. He needs to be traded for prospects. Ynoa is a prospect. That is what the Sox need on the field. Not productive guys like Eaton.
  13. I live about 5 miles north of the park so I don't know if the weather would have been the same, but if it was there like here, they definitely would have Ben able to play up until now with no stoppage. It is drizzling so it would have Ben miserable but playable.
  14. So Adam Eaton, the current lead off guy is hitting .450 with a .500 OBP. The team is 4-2. Why do the Sox need a new lead off hitter?
  15. KC Johnsons article today suggests Gar or Px or Hoiberg getting waxed probably isn't going to happen. They now believe they kept the roster, the championship roster, intact one year too long. KC thinks the change will be Randy Brown going back into the front office, he says the players think he's Gar's spy. He also suggests a younger roster next year.
  16. Panda's belt exploded on a swing and a miss last night.
  17. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 05:06 PM) Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately the Sox aren't in town next time I am. BTW there was a crack in the left corner of the big board today's apparently Trvor Bauer was flying his drone and crashed into it. I hope they stick him with the bill and not the taxpayers.
  18. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 04:52 PM) Who decides whether or not a game is delayed? I can see if they didn't open to let it thaw. Any thoughts on the new video boards? I think the Sox can delay it. I don't think it is the umpires call until they get the line up card or it is a last visit. The new boards are spectacular. The only problem is the pitch speed. It flashes so fast, if you are watching the game you can't see it before it disappears. I am sure that will be fixed. In the sun today was chilly but I have been in a lot worse. Those in the shade had to be shivering.
  19. It's one thing to have an affair with one of your players, but knocking her up? His coaching career should be over.
  20. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 04:32 PM) At least they gave out certificates for free/discounted future tickets One thing they didn't do was open the gates until about a half hour before the game started. They were trying to melt ice on stairs and the OF concourse. I would have thought they would have delayed the start a few minutes at least. I took the Red Line and the line to get in gate 5 was already going down Wentworth
  21. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 04:34 PM) Yeah that was supposed to happen. Wasn't at our exit, asked around on train and only a few had them passed out. Add it to the list of b.s. Sox fans dealt with in the stadium today. They were lined up,with stacks of them at the gate 5 exit when I left after the game.
  22. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 10:55 AM) Good. Hope all goes well for everyone, and Adam can be in Minneapolis Tuesday night to play Wednesday. How long do you expect her to be in labor?
  23. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 07:01 AM) Not upset with Danks. Danks has been this way for several years. He's not leaving himself in the rotation year after year. He's not leaving himself in games through 5, pitching the Sox out of the game while the dugout watches and plays mime. And yes when you're down 7-1, the mindset of the hitters changes. They had 3 hits. It would have taken a gem to win.
