QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 06:11 PM) I get to celebrate a Sox win tonight or I get to complain about Danks sucking. Either way one of my favorite things in life. You have a lot of company.

Sox games are turning into NBA type viewing. You really can skip the first 6 innings,

Avi has a higher OPS vs. RH pitching than Ishikawa has in AAA.

Carlos Sanchez up, Robertson to Bereavement
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 01:26 PM) Do we have to use an option on Sanchez? They already used it when he went to Charlotte to start the season.

I hope they don't get rained out. They are on a roll. Keep playing.

2016 AL Central catch-all thread
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 10:22 PM) Michael Brantley's back with the Indians... Michael Fulmer called up by the Tigers. Also, with the way Justin Upton's struggling with the Tigers, we just MIGHT want to find a DH who has a successful track record hitting in the AL. Jose Berrios got hit pretty hard by the Indians in his debut. But Byung Ho Park very quietly with 5 homers for the Twins (yet another DH candidate we had a shot at). All these guys the Sox should have signed or traded for, why were you saying Parra and Desmond at the time?

Misc. Sox Quotes & Tweets
QUOTE (shysocks @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 10:46 AM) Fortunately the Tribune has a very recent article about them having the best records in their leagues. It was 1973. Season did not end well for either team. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0427-story.html I broke my leg, and the season was basically ova.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
We don't know what the injury is, and I am sure the Toronto training staff signed off on letting him stay in the game. Kind of hard to blame the manager. He wasn't throwing very hard last night. Is that where he is at normally? He was 87-89 most of the night.

The team should just forfeit and play Friday. Then everyone gets their rest and the worst pitcher who ever pitched gets skipped. No reason to watch this one.

Sox Season Tickets
QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 03:24 PM) True. Maybe an NL team? Go against a good team in June or July when you know it will be warm.

Sox Season Tickets
QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 03:21 PM) My boss got Sox season tickets. He is offering me five tickets to which ever game i want to see. Any suggestions? I am thinking the royals in june or the cubs in july. I would avoid the Cubs games. Total amateur nights.

The Offense
QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 02:37 PM) My jaw hit the floor when I saw that McCutcheon hit more home runs yesterday than the braves had hit all season. If your jaw could hit the floor you would be the greatest competitive eater of all time.

The Offense
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 02:00 PM) I know but that was true last year too. The NL has a league ERA half a run higher than the AL right now, when it's usually the opposite. I know it's early but that's still a bit bizarre. Probably because of the amount of really crappy teams.

Hector Sanchez called up
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 02:45 PM) I have quite literally never heard that phrase before. Dan Hayes @CSNHayes 10m10 minutes ago Kevan Smith goes on DL w/ "sacroiliac joint dysfunction." Was reported he had back spasms in warm ups Mon before was set to make MLB debut. That is the SI joint I believe. I had that a few years ago. I had both sides locked up. At first I couldn't stand up. I walked into the chiropractor with my hands on my knees. He made it so I could stand, but there would be times I literally couldn't step forward. Some electric stim and heat and exercises, and a couple of adjustments, he should be good to go, but it will take a little while. I got it from the elliptical machine. Had to stop that. It kills your back.

QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 02:32 PM) Colleen Kane @ChiTribKane 14s14 seconds ago White Sox place catcher Kevan Smith on the 15-day DL, call up Hector Sanchez from AAA Charlotte. Feel bad for Kevan Smith! Imagine your dream happening and then your back goes out on you That's bad luck.

It appears he usually gives up fewer hits but more homers inside.

Miguel Gonzalez getting called up, Danks skipped
QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 12:52 PM) I've also said repeatedly I shouldn't have quoted peripherals like that for one game. But I stick with the basic premise that he didn't get lucky, as you claimed. The entire premise of your point is the peripherals you have admitted you shouldn't have used.
