Everyone is so upset with Danks. The Sox scored 1 run, that means to win he would have had to give up 1 run or less which Sale, Quintana, and Rodon also failed to do. Teams lose baseball games. Even great ones lose more than 60.

If this was 20-25 years ago, his career as anything but a DH might be in question, but I think he will be OK. I hate the Cubs, but this is not happy news for me. I hope he recovers fully. I think this being the first time in 61 years both the Sox and Cubs started out 2-0 is incredible. Even if you have a horrid team you could start out 2-0.

I work downtown and got back from lunch 20 minutes ago. It isn't raining or snowing, and it's cold, but not shivering cold. Unless some accumulating snow or some pouring rain is coming, there will be baseball.

Well the good news for the Cubs fan is the Cubs planned for Schwarber's injury according to the Tribune. That is probably why they traded Coughlin for nothing.

If they were going to cancel it in advance, I think it would be called by now.
