If CO covers enough of his salary they can always release him. This team has pissed away plenty of money on the likes of Wellington Castillo, Jon Jay, Machado's brother-in-law, etc. I know nothing about what Charlie Blackmon is any longer but this is what teams with thin farm system's do.

Not the whole amount but what is it worth???? Watching the OF play and the anemic offense there needs to be some infusion. Both guys can be change of scenery things. For 2022 as well there is no RF option. Sheets, Vaughn, etc are not options in RF There is a large sunk cost in this move but that is what winning teams do.
