Len Kasper is new White Sox radio play by play announcer
I always found ways to dislike Kasper as I hate the cubs. If you do not think that the White Sox have the best tv/radio combo in sports, not just baseball we will have to agree to disagree. I think working with Stone is hard and Benetti is getting better at it. Dj and Kasper will be an amazing listen. I would love for the Sox to do what Harry Cary used to do and move between the tv and radio booth during the game. Also will add a great resource to Soxfest. This is a major blow to the SCORE as he seemed to be on there often.

Rodon and Mazara Non-Tendered
Or the team that got to the ALCS after losing their top 2 pitchers and their stud manager

Nothing. It is the enjoyment of a season and potential season throughout the summer into the fall and into the winter to do it all over again. The White Sox have won five playoff series in their history. Does the extreme of losing 18 straight playoff games sound enticing, no, but give me an 85-90 win team annually and I am fine with that. Sadly I am the epitome of the JR carrot fan. Don't get me wrong and this does contradict what I posted earlier, I do appreciate and find joy in the world series but I think I would equally be as satisfied with 90s Braves and 10s Dodgers success. I did cut off the Dodgers at 2020 to make a point.

I have received zero trophies. I suppose I could go find a souvenir world series trophy and put it on my mantle and pretend I am part of the organization. Once the final out of the last game happens I have nothing to show or gained for the most recently completed season and only have to look toward the next season. I am not part of the organization so I have never won or lost anything thus the only thing i get out of the White Sox is looking forward to spending a few hours each day watching them and looking forward to the next season. The playoffs and world series extend my White Sox enjoyment by a few days or weeks but once completed it adds nothing to my life.

Would you rather be the Indians/Twins or White Sox. Personally I'd rather have a shot going into every season as opposed to once every 10 years. If the cubs don't make the Chapman and Quintana trades they are looking much better right now that what they did. They may not have the World Series but they have talent currently. I may be the exception though of wanting sustained success over a title. Once the title season is completed, it does nothing for me. I take the Dodgers 2010-2019 over the cubs same run even though the cubs won the title. I'd take the Indians and Twins 2000-2020 over the White Sox.

White Sox coaching staff announced (List in first post)
I am not a fan of the hire but to expect a death spiral and implosion because he is the manager is a bit of a reach in my mind.

But this did not happen in his previous years of managing......so now Jose Abreu will no longer appreciate Jerry and the loyalty that he has shown all these years to the organization is out the window? I get no liking the move and feeling that the fit is not right but I really think people are acting like this is Jim Boylan.

Seeing as it was not even a role previously he can do no worse.

NFL Thread 2020-2021
The President of the organization is not even qualified to hire football people yet he is the president of a professional football organization. They need a person with a football mind to run the organization and a person with a business mind to run that side of it. Ted Phillips got he city to build the Bears a stadium and as such who cares what happens. I could give a flying f**k about how pissed Virginia and George are currently. That means about as much as Matt Nagy talking about how everyone NOW needs to realize where they are in the season...sigh

Wonder who the mcaskeys are going to hire to find them a GM and coach this time. Is Ernie still doing it?

I have not attended church since March but give online. Every service should just be online with a manner of giving to local organization. We do not need to go in person at this point.

Theo Epstein Resigns; Hoyer Stays
Sox would have to give the cubs permission to speak with Hahn as it is a lateral move....maybe that is just in football.

Offseason Targets
If the White Sox win 88+ games the next 6 years it will be a success because every day will be enjoyable over the next 6 years. As far as Theo goes I compare him to Bowman in some regard. Had some powder to start with and got to spend on FA but could not sustain it.

FS: 40 Man Roster Decisions and Rule 5 Draft Implications
The hope with Burger is he stays healthy and is a golden ticket to move at the deadline. Hes got a top 5 potential in the Sox system if he can stick at 3rd. He must have looked good this summer and fall.

FS: 40 Man Roster Decisions and Rule 5 Draft Implications
He seems to be a pretty easy guy to root for and if it works out it is good story. To lose him while Seby and Yermin take up spots is my issue. Not a big issue but still an issue.

FS: 40 Man Roster Decisions and Rule 5 Draft Implications
I could see Oakland taking him and it working out. A team in tank mode would take him as he is cheap and a high draft pick who has been out for a couple of years for injury. Why not take him? He is not a pitcher who had surgery and may not be the same. He has a good hit tool.

Sox hire Cairo as bench coach
Hopefully Cairo can have a training session on the effects of the lip of the grass on a baseball. Seems like a really solid hire. This whole thing continues to point toward Jirschele taking over for 23 season. I wonder if McEwing moves back to 3B. That would be odd that TLR would not keep him around.

Yes until there is death this virus is not a concern. I wish I was joking but that to me is the reality I see in the world today.

Bears President is Ted Phillips and he is going no where.

Offseason Targets
I do not think that contract is a steal. When was the last time he put a full season together. I thought 2020 and second half of 2019 were good but I think there is still enough risk there of injury and age. I think Madrigal is too much to give up based on Yu's age and injury history.
