Sox sign Hendriks: 3/$39M - 4th year optional with $15M buyout
Seems like TLR isn't driving players off. I am not saying that to be a dick but I am hopeful that the angst from after the hiring is cooling.

If the White Sox win that game they win the world series. Hoyt was dominating and the Orioles were not touching him in game 5. Sox pitching would have carried them through the world series.

Trade Whispers - Starting Pitchers
Well I guess my case for them not wanting Madrigal is wrong.

Trade Whispers - Starting Pitchers
Burnes price starts with one of Vaughan/Kopech/Crochet and then add Stiever and another piece. The Brewers have not need for Madrigal. I am not opposed to that trade but I see no reason why the Brewers would move him. The Brewers and Reds should be going all in now as the cubs take a step back. The NL East and NL West are going to beat the crap out of each other, especially if he Marlins are not a flash in the pan.

They could also look at year four and rip it up and go 2/20 if he is still going well at that point and wants another year or two.

Can Colome do this Colome isn't throwing 50 pitches or getting a 3 inning save in the playoffs. Hendriks did both during the last postseason. The answer is no and the reason when Hendricks is more valuable.

There has to be performance clauses in there to automatically kick in that option.

Sox sign Hendriks: 3/$39M - 4th year optional with $15M buyout
Same with Dunning and when he was traded he was compared to Shane Bieber by some on this board.

Sox sign Hendriks: 3/$39M - 4th year optional with $15M buyout
So in three years when Hendricks is good but no longer elite and Bummer is the closer and the Sox don't want to spend $15M on a non- closer, this board should be fun.

How long do you wait on Bauer? My guess is that Hendricks was telling teams it was time to make a decision. At the end of the winter someone will say we could have signed Bauer instead of Lynn, Eaton and Hendricks as that is $31M but that is not the case. The MLB is broken in this regard thanks to Boras and dragging the process out.

I do not see being Pace being promoted but this is the Bears.

NFL Thread 2020-2021
Pace and Nagy need a football guy to oversee them. Neither had any experience in their roles when they were hired. Bring in someone to make certain they do not continue to make the same mistakes.

What happens to Phillips if thye go with a new president. I want Pace to get a football minded boss.

Foles was an epic failure to this scheme. In the end this team has a couple pieces but the organizational sum of parts from Finance guy at President on down are poorly constructed. There is no team discipline. Holy shit Ridley wasnt a healthy scratch.

Not sure I agree. I don't think there was ever going to be a regime change but after this game I have less faith in Pace and Nagy.

Miller and the wasted TE pick from D2 should cost Pace his job.

The Bears DBs are a fucking embarassment. This team is so incredibly undisciplined.

2020 Election Thoughts
Im talking in my personal world. People that are now showing true colors of how summer protests were deplorable but capitol issue is an attempt to silence Trump. If you opossed summer protests you HAVE to understand Capitol storming is much worse and sadly that appears to not be the case. The summer protests had a rationale the capitol incident was sour grapes and that scares the hell out of me.

2020 Election Thoughts
What is scary is how mild GOP people are turning a blind eye to this. I am a middle road guy and held my nose for Trump and cannot believe people defend this.

Agreed. That call on Kmet was deplorable and inexcusable for an NFL playoff game.
