Game today.  Too much work to post the lineup, I'm tired but I want a game thread.

I am guessing this is the last weekend of pointless lineups and starting to see some reality next week. thank god.

I’d rather see the prospects

pro tip: the only way spring training isn't pointless is from a lawn seat with a beer in hand.  I'm serious.  Just relax and get ready for opening day and hope nobody gets hurt.

other than grandal nursing his knee or whatever it's been good so far.  I'm literally knocking on wood as I type this.

Vaughn, Collins, and Burger providing the offense and Gio with 5Ks and one hit through 3 innings. Sox lead 1-0 on an RBI infield single by Burger scoring Vaughn.

I''m wondering what the plan is for Jake after this little "reward" they are giving him for sticking it out and trying to make a comeback, including playing in that Indy league last year.  I wonder if he will get assigned to Birmingham or if they want him to stick around the complex in AZ for a bit longer and maybe play in some back field games.  Maybe both  if the Minor League season is delayed I guess.

Why is it "reward"  the guy was the #11 pick in the draft and by all accounts proving his worth then blew his Achilles twice worked his ass off and is now healthier than he was before the injury.

Why can't he be the prospect he once was, he is not that old.  It wasn't like he was a lottery ticket from day one that is now looked at to be the savior.

Gio strands 2 (walk and a single). Sox 1-0 after 4.

of course this happens in a non-televised game

Hendriks in for his first spring appearance in the 5th inning. Gio finishes with 2 hits, 1 walk, 5 KS and 0 ER.

1-2-3 5th inning for Hendriks with 1 K. Sox lead 1-0 after 5.

Back to back singles for Garcia and Vaughn leading off the 6th. 2 on, nobody out with Collins at the plate.

Sox squander an opportunity, stranding 2 in the top of the 6th. Crochet on for the bottom of the 6th.

1-2-3 6th for Crochet with 2 Ks. Sox lead 1-0 after 6.

Burger with a double to right. 2 out, man in scoring position for Robert in the top of the 7th.

Did his command look better this outting?  His first outing command was rough.
