  1. Who is the pitching talent that they could have signed? There was no free agent market so they did what they had to do, traded for a guy and signed a guy. The guy they signed has pitched well..... arguably better than Dunning but the whining will never stop because they didn't outbid the Dodgers for Bauer.
  2. A team full of Madrigal's would have a great defense. My guess is the same people that hate Madrigal are the same group that is pining for the return of Dane Dunnign to be the ACE.
  3. Because he was he third pick in the draft and as such we need need to calibrate what that means in baseball as compared to football and basketball. He seems to be settling down. I think we will see the worst in him and Vaughn this year.
  4. Bit them in the ass. Kind of a dick move there.
  5. He has primarily become a two pitch pitcher and had great success. Not sure if that is the answer or not but it has worked for him. Adding the slider or curve is the key if he is going to get deeper into games on a consistent basis or days like today.
  6. Good thing collins defense is adequate.
  7. Boston is not good they have solid players.
  8. Let him give up 20 runs stop wasting pitchers game is over.
  9. Team cant hit right handed pitching wheater its a starter or bullpen hence the no scoring late.
  10. This offense is not coming back and they have 3 games in 24 hours.
  11. Continued wasted opportunities are going to do them in this game.
  12. Gives Cease an extra day off and our pitching is better so it's a win.
  13. The thing I don't get is if it was indeed strep with all of the precautious going on at that time, I would think it would be hard to get strep. Similar to the cold and flu season for the last 12 months. Also why would the White Sox COVID quarantine him if he was diagnosed with strep? How could he not hit or workout or anything but sit around and watch tv? he could still go for a jog and hit of a tee during that time. I think it is equally possible he had COVID as strep. Loading up on Balta seems a bit unfair. I am also the person that is rather curious of how anti-vaxxers were killing society five years ago and know anti-vaxxing is becoming more popular for those that wanted to tar and feather anti-vaxxers. You either believe in science or you don't. I am not certain you can pick and choose when to believe in science and when not do.
  14. I went opening day. Lines were easily avoidable...there were none in the bathroom. Some for food and beverage but I never felt overwhelmed.
  15. Gotta be Williams. Lamb will stick around because he is left handed and has a decent track record. The bigger issue will be what happens when Hamilton and Engel return.
  16. Let's be honest there probably wouldn't have been many more fans there last night on a 40 degree evening.
  17. When Pedro was talking about how he never threw a no hitter and how hard Rodon worked to get back, he started to get emotional. the hour of coverage on MLBN of the no hitter was fantastic. There were a couple of errors in reporting but it made for a great hour of television. Also negates not trading for Joe Musgrove a little easier to tolerate after last week.
  18. Rodon is still figuring out how to pitch. There was never a doubt that he was a major league pitcher do think otherwise is foolish. He has been injured most of his career and as was talked about last night he was overused at NC State. That may have permanently derailed his career which sucks. I have been a huge Rodon fan since the day he was drafted so it was great to see last night. No clue what happens next but I wanted the Sox to start him in game 3 of the playoffs. If he is healthy he makes this rotation as good as any.
  19. Rodon is always about health never about stuff. Guy just hasnt been able to stay healthy.
