QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 6, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) Carlos is a straight up 1 year fluke. What a buster. He certainly swings hard. -

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 6, 2010 -> 09:27 PM) Yeah right. There are still people defending Walker to this day. It's insane. I used to defend him but the approah of hitters and their ability to be completly shut down during a game is what irks me they seem to just go through the motions -

beckham looks helpless up there that was as sad as an inning could be they are going to lose 3 of 4 to the jays I need to just reside myself to the fact that they are lucky to be a .500 team that will struggle offensively under this regime that is not great at putting the pieces together any longer -
QUOTE (Brian @ May 6, 2010 -> 09:07 PM) Too bad the Cards have lost 3 in a row. Getting swept by philly and getting swept by the pirates are vastly different

I rewatched and saw the Jin hand thing. Missed that the first time through. Couple of thoughts, I think Widmore and Flocke are actually working together. I think this mainly because the first time through Keamney lead the charge and now there is no really show of force from the Widmore folks. I also go back to fact that Widmore was banished. Why is it that all of a sudden Widmore can get to the island and begin setting up camp. Sayid gets to power plant ratehr easily. I do not think that Locke is indestructible but yet nobody hits him with a shot. Also pure dumb luck that Kate gets shot which casues Jack to get on the boat.... The sub was left unguarded andthe explosives were not really that well hidden on the plane. I do not know how spoiler tags work.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 5, 2010 -> 03:08 PM) Yes, relieving in terms of not having to deal with the awfulness that was surrounding the Chicagoland area during that playoff season. I would never say that the White Sox winning in 2005 was relieving. That was more thrilling and satisfying. And if the Cubs won it in 2003, the 2005 WS wouldn't have been nearly as special in Chicago. You are 100% correct. When they beat the Braves, that was the first baseball series to be won in this city in 90 years. 2005 would have been an afterthought if the cibs even made it to the World Series in 2003.

Watching Rios play this year and thinking what might have been last year for some reason makes me dislike Dye

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ May 4, 2010 -> 03:42 PM) Daryl Drake (WR coach for the beloved) He makes a good point about not stereotyping, however, I think my dog could still beat Devin Hester in a game of scrabble. Sorry, I just don't see how that guy is very smart. Wasn't it the Bears that said it about Hester and Bennett and why they were struggling in their first year's as WR not the media? -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 5, 2010 -> 11:09 AM) The refs are ridiculous. The Phantom fouls need to go away, the traveling is extinct. While the NHL playoffs get better, the NBA gets worse. Yet if you listen to B&B on the score you would think NBA playoff basketball is the greatest thing there is. -
I think Jin is alive.....same as the freighter...... I have always thought about the kid being Kwon as well

At some point the pitching just has no chance to win because they are unable to make one mistake. How many 4+ run innings have they given up compared to how many times they have scored more than 2 in an inning. Close games go to hell rather quickly. -

I jsut wish guillen would stop talking as he looks more a fool as the days go by Two weeks back set LH/RH line-ups One week ago Pierre not going to lead off what nonsense will he spew this week? -
The old haunting by the former player(s) should be good this week.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2010 -> 01:40 PM) I'm so on the trade Buehrle bandwagon right now. Buehrle is what he is. Good hitting teams will beat him up. I think in the NL he would be great. I am more comcerned with Paevy though. Pitching in the AL is light years different than the NL.

I wish they would've flipped Mark with Jake for the Texas series. Any recollection of Mark v. Yanks did not end well.

I was holding off on posting but the Sox for some reason are looking good to me on this trip in that they are starting to score a little more later in games and seem to be coming back much more often. Also how do the cubs hit great pitchers. Nice win
