  1. I wonder if this team can hit in bp. 4 90 MPH fastballs down the middle and Dye can't hit them....
  2. Throw six pitches all to the same spot.... Kubel and Cuddyear would be the best hitters on the White Sox. I did not realize they were both having that good of years. Throw in Moreanu, Spahn and Mauer and they have six hitters better than any White Sox hitter.
  3. Kubel with hit a slam he kills the Sox
  4. Here comes the big inning we have not seen in over a month...
  5. Sadly so did Danks, Floyd and Garcia this whole trip.
  6. Farmer talks about how Walker preaches contact and going the other way and nobody does it. There is a disconnect there somewhere and ozzie needs to solve it.
  7. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 12:44 PM) for the love of god - the law of averages says we have to start hitting at some point I wonder if ozzie ever gets held accountable for this lack of effort.
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 12:41 PM) or you could just say yes or no YES!
  9. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 12:34 PM) shut him down because he's lazy in the off season and doesn't work out, which leads to fatigue in the second half? Just my speculation... It is possibe but I think the perfect game and getting Peavy who makes more money could be the issue as well. Maybe Buerhle and Dye are not as passive and easy going as we think. Buehrle was a good reason this year, 2006 and 2003 did not end on a higher note.
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 12:35 PM) wow, i didn't know that. His back again? Go to the thread in Diamond Club
  11. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 12:33 PM) have we even seen crede this series? DL and possible career over.
  12. They oughts shut Buerhle down for the rest of the year although not getting a win after the perfect game would not be a nice start to the offseason.
  13. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 12:31 PM) Baseball 101 The White Sox could use this book.
  14. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 12:26 PM) who do you like for our ace going foward? If Peavy pitches to his history, Floyd and Danks progress Buerhle is the best number 4 in baseball. This is not a slam on Buerhle.
  15. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 12:25 PM) not run tentatively There is a difference in a straight steal and a hit and run. The hit and run you are looking into the batter as he is suppossed to swing and the runner is to pick the ball up. There is also the late break to not get picked off on.
  16. Buerhle will be a nice solid number 4 starter next year.
  17. To get to the earlier point of this thread the home run mentality works if the hitters are hitting them and not slumping to a .150 clip when they are not hitting them.
  18. I find it really sad that this team is unable to win there. They are a main division rival and the Sox suck there. I can not wait for this season to be over and changes to be made to this pathetic group.
  19. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Sep 1, 2009 -> 10:09 AM) Found this on another site: "To me, Thome symbolizes KW giving right back in to the urge to have the same offense he had from 01-04. On the WS video, he brags about dumping Maggs, Carlos, and Jose to become more versatile. The next season we become station to station again. This team needed to dump Thome. It needs speed and non-pull hitters. Get back to pitching and defense. " Sox offense from 2001-2004 when corpseball entered the White Sox vernacular.....
  20. There are a ton of doctors and general managers on this site.
  21. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 09:17 PM) here is my quote... "i will be the first to state that gambling might have a lot more to do with this teams overall performance than anyone can ever imagine." you draw whatever conclusion you want from it. lets just say this...if we ever have a beer together i will blow your mind away with things you never considered. and i am not the only fan from chicago to bring these things up. but i am definitely not stupid enough to bring it to any forum. hell no. You do understand that there is not enough money in gambling for this to be worth it for any player making above $400K. Why am I even wasting my time thinking about this pointless topic.
  22. Sadly I thought this team was good. I fell bad for Pods, Floyd, Carrasco and Danks as they appear to be the only people that give a s***. Not sure what to think of Beckham, Quentin, Ramirez and Rios. How many times has this team come back in a game?
  23. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 03:30 PM) I wish they would show a montage of the Sox "greatest" moments from the dome - all the errors, all the bloop hits. "Winning" the 2000 division title there and running around drinking beer on their field was pretty cool.
