5/12 White Sox (18-18) vs LA Angels (22-17)

QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ May 12, 2008 -> 07:25 PM) Thank God I have marcum on my fantasy team! I read somewhere that TOR had something like 81 uns in their 16 games with Frank Thomas and only 53 in the same # of games without him I still can not get over the fact they gave away Thomas and Reed Johnson. -
QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2008 -> 07:15 PM) You know, it's too bad we didn't trade for Josh Hamilton instead of Nick Swisher. Where is our Edison Voloquez?

QUOTE (Linnwood @ May 9, 2008 -> 06:50 PM) Per Cowley: Swisher out of the lineup, Brian Anderson is in. A tear just came to my eye. Now give Konerko tomorrow off and Thome Sunday so Anderson can make some plays. -

Ichiro will reach base to start the game. -
or not The middle of that order is so much more dangerous than the Sox.
-
I think the guys in 9th stack up nicely against Wood if Cruz can hold them.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 9, 2008 -> 03:28 PM) Was it a 3-2 pitch to Byrnes? Yes - again Gameday was all over the place though
-
Eric Byrnes sucks. I only saw the Gamecast what actually happened there?
-
Justin Upton making Ted Lilly look great today. Already with the hat trick and Marmol will give him the golden sombrero later.
-
Can we finally play well on the west coast?

If the bats produce it will be a 7-3 trip. If they do not it will 2-8. I think the pitching can have success against these teams and should keep them in the game. My guess 4-6. Steve Stone said that this trip will determine if the White Sox are going to be in it for the season or if they are just hanging around. Open the paper on May 19th and you will know all you need to know about your 2008 Chicago White Sox. -
A couple of things that tick me off. First off the show is great. How did smokey not kill the mercinaries? I still am not into that outcome although I am getting over it. The black guy pushing the wheel chair appeared to be working for Dharma but I got the impression last night that he contradicted his previous role in his conversation with Locke. Claire? I am thinking she is still alive and missing and that is why Aaron leaves the island with Kate and now Jack wants to go back. I think the cabin allows a person to kind of have visions of a sort. Ben may have lost this ability to "see thing" and Locke may now have it. The Locke flashback was confusing as hell as I was not certain why it took so long for him to get to the island. Why does the Rambo dude let Desmond and Sayid just hang around? Desmond can get off the island as he is not an Oceanic survivor, hence not an Ocanic 6 but yet an island survivor.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2008 -> 10:18 PM) I bet Sean Marshall is in their rotation by June. and that's a positive for the cub?
-
Toby Hall actually looked like a major league player today and a halfway decent one at that.
-
Konerko and Swisher need time off especially in the big park. Please play Anderson.
-
Score player of the game Dye. I liked Uribe. That slide is becoming lore already.
-
The next time Jenks will pitch will be in 31 hours at the earlist. Why not use him?
-
Uribe is sneaking greenies, he has to be.
-
Juan Uribe a standing ovation for a slide!!!!!! Talk about educated fans. Nice
-
If Crede was not held on how did he not get to second? Was he held on? Uribe a walk. Pinch hit for Ramirez has HE f***ING BETTER TAKE AT LEAST TWO STRIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I thought Ramirez was up hit AJ!!!!!!
-
uribe better take or crush the third pitch here

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 8, 2008 -> 02:49 PM) People here make me sick. When Ozzie plays the match-ups and brings in Logan/Thornton, he's wrong and should have brought in his set-up man and is micro-managing. But when he brings in his set-up man, he's wrong for not bringing in the LOOGY and playing the match-ups. Give me a f***ing break. Two of the best lefties in the game is not micro managing it is playing good odds. Thorton has been pitching just as well as Linebrink. Mauer and Morenau are as solid as they come and there was no RH bat coming in for them. Stone with a great point about the Floyd game and Jenks having pitched being a plus today.
-
Neshak injury sounds serious.
-
When is Dye following the uselessness that is Paul Konerko. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE move Konerko down to 6th in the line-up.
-
That was nice but really really bad decision making by Guillen and poor execution by the Twins. Linebrink was scary there. Twins looking to get out of dodge.
-
This team needs to work on the simple points of baseball in the worst way.
