QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 04:03 PM) He isn't going anywhere unless you get a player like Pujols or Mauer. That should be in green, right?

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 01:47 PM) Wasn't expecting this. I don't even know who got sent down when Contreras came up. I guess perhaps Whisler and Gobble are the ones going down for these two. Anyone know? Whisler got sent down for Contreras. the Poreda call up hasn't been officially announced.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 01:35 PM) Viciedo is hitting like .240. Settle down. And I think 80% of this board knows that the team is better with Wise out of the starting lineup and preferably off the MLB team. You don't have to call up Danks to get rid of Wise. Viciedo is hitting .286 now and is on fire. Danks is the hottest hitter in the organization. It's not like Danks is a spring chicken. Dude turns 23 in August. But if you guys enjoy watching a bunch of hacks play when there is serious talent waiting in the wings, it's your perogative.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 01:24 PM) No and HELL NO! I'm all for an infusion of youth. But you don't call up that youth just for kicks. Both Danks and Viciedo have a ways to go before they should even sniff Chicago. I still don't think Beckham should've been called up. And we see how splendidly that's going right now. It's not just for kicks. It's because they are both better than the guys I want them to come up for. The MLB White Sox would be a better team minus Wise and Fields plus Danks and Viciedo.
-
Good. Now bring up Danks and Viciedo for Wise and Fields.

Peavy did the Sox a favor. That money can be used to fill multiple holes. He was too much of a b*tch to pitch in the AL anyway. Why would anyone want someone that soft on their team?

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ May 19, 2009 -> 01:56 PM) I just heard, I believe it was peter gamons, i was just waking up and didnt have my glasses on but whomever it was said the mets are going to be looking for a first basemen now that delgado is out...what about pk to the mets, start the youth movement and throw branden allen out there? As much as every Sox fan loves Konerko and appreciates what he has done for the franchise, I think you have to seriously consider trading him to the Mets. This Sox team is going nowhere fast and you have to get what you can for Konerko while he is hitting well.

cross him off the list. link: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3772663

That's not the best time for me, but I can probably do it. I work pretty early so normally I'm well in bed at that time during the week.

I'll play in league 1 again this season. Have been in that league for at least 3 seasons.

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jan 31, 2007 -> 10:38 PM) THIS IS NOT A NEW THREAD, IT IS LEFTOVER FROM LAST YEAR. I am a lot less likely to sort through this mess once signups really start, so please don't use this thread. Ok man, settle down.

QUOTE(southsideirish @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 04:57 AM) I have had LT the last two years and he has failed me in the playoffs both years in a row. I will never touch him again. He will also be playing with a rookie QB. No thank you. He may win the regular season for you, but he will be so worn down and worthless to you come playoff time. Isn't that what it is all about? LJ has many many questions. First he goes from a very good system for RBs that has made superstars out of Marshall Faulk, Priest Holmes, and LJ himself to an unknown system. Dick Vermiel retired and Al Saunders, the KC OC, left for Washington. THat is one negative. Another is that he has lost Willie Roaf to retirement and 2 other linemen are injured. That is not good. The third strike against him, in my opinion, is that Tony Richardson, his great blocking fullback, left and signed with Minnesota. There are just way too many questions surrounding him to take him #1. Shaun Alexander had the least turnover on his team and offense. He is very consistent and has averaged 1670 rushing yards with a 4.78 yard per carry average and 19 TDs per year. Over the last 5 years he has averaged 17 TDs per year. There is no doubt I take this guy #1 overall. All of that plus Alexander has the easiest schedule of the 3. LT has the hardest schedule to run against in the playoffs. There is no way I take anyone else but Alexander #1. It is a no brainer. My rankings are: Shaun Alexander Larry Johnson LaDanian Tomlinson Trust me LOL! You still think we should trust you? I had the 2nd pick in both my $ leagues and was lucky enough to get LT both times. Needless to say I am 11-0 in one league and 9-2 in the other and am in first place in both. Thank you LT!

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 1, 2006 -> 07:48 PM) No. You got anything to back up your opinion? Crawford is only 25, is an all around player, and is the exact kind of hitter the Sox need in the lineup. McCarthy is still unproven and to tell you the truth he didn't look all that great last year.

http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/whitesox.asp?id=245089 They talk about McCarthy for Crawford near the bottom of the article. Get it done.

QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 12, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) , but the revenue from the sale of the seat goes to the Sox to do just what they did in '06... increase payroll. I'm not trying to start anything, but I think that is what the guy was saying to begin with. He never said they should use the money to pay for more on field talent. When i read it I assumed he was saying the ticket sales will increase the payroll. edit: and if it is sponsored that money can go to anything the Sox want, including Payroll.

I'll do a basketball league.
