  1. I'm sorry, but I am going to officially retire from this league. I have a baby now so I can only use what little time I have to spare for fantasy baseball to my money leagues. I'm sure it will be easy to find a replacement.
  2. Just got this email back after inquiring to Brooks: Here is a look at the beers we will be offering at our Midwest Brews locations: Minnesota - Michelob Golden Light Wisconsin - Leinenkugel (various flavors) Illinois - Goose Island's Honkers and Chicago Beer Company's Windy City Wheat Indiana - Barley Island's Bar Fly IPA Ohio - Great Lakes Brewing Company's Dortmunder Gold Michigan - Bell's Oberon (we will also have LaBatt Blue representing this area and the Canadians) I hope this makes you want to stop by even more now! They will be cold and waiting for you... Joey Nigro, General Manager Sportservice - US Cellular Field 333 W. 35TH Street Chicago, IL 60616
  3. I'm pretty excited about the change of Beers of the World. I would be shocked if they didn't have Three Floyd's. I think Bellls is a good call and wouldn't be surprised if Two Brothers got a beer in there as well. Really looking forward to trying the cheesesteak. That has to be delicious and healthy. I'll definitely give the tamales a spin as well. It's discraceful to have D'giorno's, but I never get pizza there anyway.
  4. Some decent seats seem to be available. Just got upperdeck box seats in 531 on whitesox.com. 4 seats together. If you don't have yours yet get on there!
  5. Some beers that I have tried recently that should be on my list. Ska: Modus Hoperandi Dogfish Head: Burton Baton Lagunitas: Hop Stoopid
  6. I think I only listed out about a dozen beers or so and most of them were Craft Beers.
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 11, 2010 -> 01:25 AM) The draft is set for Sat Mar 20 8:30pm Chicago time - it's on a weekend and in an evening, so hopefully more people can be there. The only event it may coincide with is a second round NCAA game and NCAA.com streams games, iirc. I would think this would make less people being there. At least I won't be able to draft a team at that time on a Saturday.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 08:10 PM) From the original ESPN Crew! Lol. Hell yeah! Thanks fellas!
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 07:48 PM) 3 runs 3 hits and 3 walks for Cabrera in 1 inning of work. Seems about right.
  10. I thought the bike was cool, but I'm not a big fan of the scoreboard. I thought that was kind of lame. The wheels were sweet.
  11. Any chance all of the lists submitted can be posted? I would like to see some of the stuff that didn't make the list. You have permission to post mine if you want.
  12. I know the pickings for leadoff hitters are slim, but I would be very disappointed to see Pods back on the Sox next year. As good as he was with the bat last year, he was so frustrating in every other facet.
  13. --A game a few years back I stub hubbed some nice seats in the 2nd row down the left field line. Konerko hit a screaming line drive foul that one hops the side track and comes into our section. I see the ball float over my head and ito the aisle where I pick it up. I thrust my arm into the air in all my glory and look at my friend who has this oh, crap look on his face. Turns out the ball one hopped off of this lady's face. I offered the ball to her and she snagged it out of my hands like I stole it from her. Her eye was effed up. --Saw Larry Bigbie's mom pour a beer over a guys head during a Sox/Orioles game in 2003. it was in section 158 and the guy, a Sox fan, was talking smack to Bigbie's family who were all wearing Bigbie jerseys. The guy ended up splashing a beer in Bigbie's brother's face and then his mom came over there, gave the guy a tongue lashing, and poured her beer over his head. It was awesome (insert Chris Farley picture here). I'm sure there's more. I might post again later.
  14. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 18, 2009 -> 06:40 PM) http://twitter.com/mdgonzales What is Cow ley's?
  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 18, 2009 -> 03:46 PM) I prefer winning actual World Series as opposed to the AAA championship. Exactly. One of the reasons you trade for these players is to use them as trading pieces. Look at what we gave up for Peavy, basically nothing, but at the time people were up in arms.
  16. Personally, I would be fine with a package including both Flowers and Hudson. Neither is a guarantee. A-Gon is.
  17. Thanks for putting this together. Nice work.
  18. Something that has worked for me is to challenge one of my buddies who is also a fatty. The last time I did this I bet my buddy $100 that I could lose more % of body weight over 6 weeks. It kept me motivated and I ended up dropping almost 20 pounds during those 6 weeks. The problem was after the bet was over I lost my motivastion and gained most of the wieght back. Now I am betting against the wife. If I win i get Hawks tickets if she wins I have to buy and go with her to see Wicked. That is not happening. Good luck. I guess it's been a while since your post so hopefully you've reached your goal.
  19. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Nov 5, 2009 -> 05:45 PM) Well.....I Guess they can add in Greinke. Throw in Soria while you're at it.
  20. QUOTE (Cali @ Nov 5, 2009 -> 05:17 PM) I'm not a fan of this move at all. Getz was awesome, and only gonna get better this year. Can't it be Nix and Fields? Getz was far from "awesome". Chase Utley is an awesome 2nd baseman.
  21. It's the first move of probably many this offseason. I wouldn't worry about who's going to steal bases, yet.
